In Nursing, updating knowledge in considered essential in the science of care. One of the best indicators of the quality of the training offer in health professions is to achieve the accreditation of a responsible agency. Another indicator may be to demonstrate the effectiveness of such training. The objective of this work is precisely that, to evaluate the effectiveness of the accredited training of the Training Department of the College of Nursing of Malaga in the year 2022, by analyzing the scores of the pre and post course tests. With this objective, we designed a pretest-posttest study, in which participated all the students involved in the accredited training activities developed by our organization from January to December 2022 participated. During the study period, 11 courses were accredited, with a total of 246 attendees. These were mostly women (213 vs 33). The effectiveness of the training activity showed an increase in the scores of the previous and final tests of 1.79 points (p<0.05). In this scenario, with a majority of accredited courses that were online or in the B Learning modality, a significant increase in final evaluations has been achieved. As a line for the future, we plan to study the effectiveness of the different didactic methodologies used in training activities.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135594647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The World Health Organization establishes that this problem is fundamentally due to a lifestyle based on a sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits, which are in turn related to an increase in the consumption of ultra-processed foods. It is affirmed that interventions on nutrition and physical activity in the school environment imply improvements in the change of these habits in the child population, in addition to interventions on their closest environment, such as their relatives. Objective: To develop an educational program that allows establishing a healthy and balanced diet in children in the 6th grade of primary school, through basic knowledge about nutrition. Methodology: The target population will include both students enrolled in the 6th grade of primary school and their families and teaching staff of the center. A total of 6 training sessions, theoretical and practical, will be held on healthy eating and physical activity for students, and 1 session for families and teaching staff of the center. Conclusions: With the application of the program, positive changes are expected to be achieved both in the improvement of health-related habits and in the acquisition of knowledge about healthy eating.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"470 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135613752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These programs include physical activity in their guidelines, because of the extensive evidence that shows its importance in psychological well-being. The main objective of our study is to analyze the influence of physical exercise on the development of mental health problems in people older than 55 years old, because eld is considered a critical phase in terms of the changes that occur. Methodology: A cross-sectional study has been carried out to analyze the association between physical activity and the development of mental disorders, as well as its relationship with other variables, based on the data provided by the European Health Survey (Spain, 2020). Results: Between the results obtained in the sample, it was found with a significant difference, that being a woman, a sedentary lifestyle, having primary education or no studies, as well as obesity and tobacco consumption behaved as risk factors. The practice of physical activity and having higher education were protective factors against development of mental disorders. Conclusions: Physical inactivity is a risk factor for the development of mental health disorders. However, psychological well-being depends on multiple factors that may act jointly, so it is necessary to analyze the influence of other variables in this association.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123852919","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the delivery area, errors are not expected and in most cases they are assumed to be preventable. Aim: The objective of this work has consisted in the design and implementation of a telematics tool that records the data of each briefing to identify security alerts from the information collected. Material and Method: Double Design: Descriptive observational study and Bibliographic review of studies published in different electronic databases in English and Spanish focused on the conceptualization of the clinical safety culture and its theoretical foundations. Results: A high level of agreement was observed on the goals of the day and a high participation among the different professionals. Among the communication problems there was a strong predominance regarding the presence of language barriers with the patients. Staff availability was adequate enough for the workload, much less the available resources. Conclusions: Briefing sessions recorded by QR code as a systematic strategy to reduce obstetric adverse events can have a significant impact on patient safety.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125551836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PMS is a cyclical condition that causes physical and psychological discomfort related to menstruation. Evening primrose oil has been one of the methods traditionally used to treat different types of inflammation. This characteristic is attributed to its high content of gamma linolenic acid. The objective of this bibliographic review is to evaluate the effectiveness of evening primrose oil for the relief of premenstrual symptoms. A structured research was performed in different databases. Original studies and systematic reviews were selected. Studies from different parts of the world were included to broaden the multicultural nature of the study. No date limit was established in the search in order to have as much information as possible. Finally 8 articles were selected. The results obtained were contradictory, since some studies reported an improvement in the duration and severity of symptoms and others reported no difference compared to placebo. More research is needed to better understand the effects of evening primrose and to obtain a treatment based on the best possible evidence.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131717973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Treatment Guidelines","authors":"María Fuensanta Salazar Cañero, María Domínguez Mejías, Marta Rosario Gómez Díaz","doi":"10.51326/ec.5.3.3683079","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51326/ec.5.3.3683079","url":null,"abstract":"Introduction: Syphilis is a disease that presents clinical manifestations that can affect any organ causing serious health outcomes. Syphilis infection is transmitted mainly through sexual contact and vertical transmission. The probability of fetal involvement occurs in women with active syphilis infection, with inadequate or untreated infection acquired in the five years prior to pregnancy. Regarding treatment, although the effectiveness of penicillin in the treatment of syphilis in pregnant women and the prevention of congenital syphilis was established shortly after the introduction of penicillin in the 1940s, there is uncertainty about the optimal treatment regimens. Objective: To know the complications and treatment guidelines for syphilis during pregnancy. Methodology: We have carried out a bibliographic search on the treatment for the management of syphilis in pregnancy, but focusing on the doses and administration guidelines. For this, the search has been carried out in different databases: Cuiden, Pubmed, Cochrane, Scielo and Cuiden whose access has been made through the College of Nursing of Malaga. Results: the treatment of choice is penicillin administered intramuscularly. In case of allergy, erythromycin is used. Fetal complications can range from premature delivery or neonatal death. Conclusion: In today's world, health professionals must continuously raise awareness about sexually transmitted diseases, since they constitute a public health problem. In the case of pregnant women, especially professionals who work in this field to raise awareness, identify and treat syphilis to guarantee the health of women and newborns.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132214536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PPD presents a series of important consequences for both the mother and the child or family environment, so nursing must detect the risk factors and intervene to minimize them. Objectives: For this reason, the main objective of this study is to analyze the risk factors that influence the onset of PPD, and thus to determine the nursing actions to be taken in the face of this diagnosis. Methodology: It was carried out a bibliographical review in 2 databases of Health Sciences (PubMed, SciELO), from which a significant number of valid articles was obtained for the review. Results: After reviewing the literature, most of the articles agree that the most important risk factors are related to previous psychiatric history and lack of social support, economic resources, or low level of education, as well as poor obstetric experience, geographical location or lack of sleep. Conclusions: To assess PPD, the use of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Test (EPDS) in the first weeks after birth is recommended because of its ease and usefulness. After diagnosis, an intervention is proposed by health professionals with behavioral and psychosocial therapies to help mothers feel better and reduce the development of PPD.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"241 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134205229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, protocols and procedures for sanitary action have been developed. However, little has been said about the importance of care based on scientific evidence during the stabilization phase of patients who have suffered a stroke after exceeding critical hours. It is at this time, where the nursing care and educational role plays a leading role in early recovery and the prelude to the rehabilitation period. Objectives: To review the available scientific evidence of the meaninful care, from a nursing point of view, for a stabilized patient following a stroke. Methods: A bibliographic review was carried out in 5 databases of Health Sciences (PubMed, SciELO, IBECS, Cochrane, Cuiden) and also with other electronic resources, from which several articles were acceptable for the review. Results: A total of 2752 articles were found, of which, 18 were selected for reviewing after the exclusion criteria was applied. Conclusions: The importance for nursing approach to complications following a stroke is shown. Nursing interventions should be prompted for recovery as early as possible. It is also a key point the role as teacher for patients and their families.","PeriodicalId":137638,"journal":{"name":"Enfermería Cuidándote","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125118329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
