The need for such a system that provides high data rates is achieved with multicarrier modulation schemes. Thus Multicarrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) is one of the best choices for next generation wireless systems. MC-CDMA is a combination of two advanced technologies such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and code division multiple access (CDMA). The CDMA has an advantage of efficient spectral utilization and OFDM is more resistant to multipath fading and Inter Symbol Interference (ISI). Further to reduce fading and noise, linear detectors such as Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE), Zero forcing (ZF) and Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC) are used at the reciever. The performance of image transmission in a MC-CDMA system using various equalizers are also compared and analysed.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"245 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114164543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has initiated the step to a new concept like processing a minimum count of EEG channels for health monitoring and brain technical system at low cost. We present an adaptive filtering to effectively remove Ocular Artifact (OA) in EEG data. This removal is based on time-frequency analysis approach which is able to identify and filter automatically present ocular and muscular artifacts embedded in EEG. For the occurrence of slight and heavy artifacts, ocular artifact removal method provides a relative low error compared to lower traditional techniques. The results obtained can be used as a solution in ambulatory healthcare systems, where low count EEG channels or even an individual channel is not available.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134006160","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Community contains users those having similar characteristics from other groups or community. Now days, more number of people are paying attention on social network for information, news, comments, likes etc. Due to this social network sites generates large number of data. These issues often make social network data very complex to analyze manually. In network, there may be possibilities that one node may belongs to one or more than one groups that is called overlapping of nodes. Possibility of overlapping community is high in real world network. There are many fields in which community detection is necessary for example in politics, business, news, and social network like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn etc. In social network large number of overlapping community is available, for analysis of this type of communities or groups in network is tedious task. Therefore research work is based on a heuristic approach to discover overlapped community in large complex network.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"197 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122310327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main component of this system is Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR). A multi-wavelength lasing system is used for long distance communication. OTDR is used to check the displacement sensors based on microbends. The advantages of this system are that it avoids cladding loss, displacement, and temperature can be measured for a distance of 50km simultaneously Since the temperature and displacement are calculated simultaneously the signals are multiplexed and transmitted to the output port. Laser source with multiple wavelengths can be used for multiplexing the sensor signals. The enhanced version of the system can be obtained by using different types of microbenders and amplifiers with higher gain.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127846158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent global health evaluation on primary health challenges conducted by World Health Organization (WHO) has identified eye related defects as one of the critical few. Survey reports highlight that if not treated, this can become a primary concern by 2020 leading to around 80 million people affected due to eye related defects. Irrespective of geologically being developed or developing country, retinal eye defects have progressing significantly over the earlier part of this century. Progression of eye defects can be reduced by the timely diagnosis of eye defects. Image processing in the recent years has gained traction and growth multiple avenues from facial recognition to computer aided diagnosis of diseases. Cost effective and efficient computer aided diagnosis of fundal abnormalities have been enabled using image processing. This paper discusses the different methodologies adopted for automatic detection and gives insight into the progression of image mining techniques.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126802732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The natural coarse aggregate of this concrete was fully replaced with coconut shell aggregate and partial cement replacement with 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of fly ash and silica fume. Based on trial mix method a suitable mix proportion was arrived. Long term compressive strength up to 365 days was studied. The optimum compressive strength was obtained for 10% silica fume mix. 28 days compressive strength of coconut shell concrete with partial replacement of silica fume and fly ash satisfies the minimum requirement of structural lightweight concrete. Hence it can be useful for structural purposes. For the prediction of compressive strength an Artificial Neural Network Model was developed using MATLAB and it includes seven inputs and one output. One hundred and sixty eight experimental data were used for developing the multilayer feed forward and back propagation neural network model. The mean square error for the predicted values with respect to the experimental value is 0.0348. The predicted compressive strength was compared with the experimental strength and found remarkably close to each other.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"243 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115185780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, steganography ensures protection of data by hiding it in a cover object. Moreover, cryptography along with steganography, ensures security in depth. Cryptography is the technique of encrypting the original information using a key. Challenging aspects in Image steganography are to increase the payload capacity of secret information and robustness against visual attacks and statistical attacks. DWT and DCT techniques when applied simultaneously provide advantages of both the techniques. The proposed technique of image steganography provides higher robustness against statistical attacks, higher imperceptibility. This technique is more secure as the encrypted secret image is hidden in two cover images, with prior application of DWT and DCT on both cover images. The simulation results illustrate the high embedding capacity and reasonable PSNR values.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128452125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Providing security in the IoT environment is a very challenging task. Malware attacks are very common in IoT, which lead to creation of IoT botnets. In this work, we perform behavioural analysis to detect the bot-nets using http based C&C Servers in the IOT environment. The results can help us know the potential of applying Machine Learning algorithms to the IoT network behaviour dataset. We also explore the advantages of using the behavioural approach instead of signature-based bot-net detection. Feature selection is important since it helps in optimizing Machine Learning algorithms to focus only on those features, which are influenced by the activities of a bot-net.","PeriodicalId":137313,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Recent Advances in Energy-efficient Computing and Communication (ICRAECC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132944186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
