However, in response, higher education sectors adopted instructional technologies and shifted face to face classes into online classes. This sudden and unexpected transition challenged teachers, particularly in developing countries like Pakistan. This study aimed to explore teachers’ teaching challenges during the pandemic. Data for the research were collected from three Pakistani universities; LUAWMS, University of Baluchistan and Turbat University, from the teachers' population through a self-developed questionnaire. In return, from 80 sent questionnaires via WhatsApp and E-mail, only71 well-filled responses were analyzed by SPSS (version 20). The findings examined teachers’ challenges in four areas;difficulty in immediate adoption of technology in pedagogy, challenges in online content delivery, satisfaction with students’ online assessment, and satisfaction with availability of resources for online classes. Moreover, the interpreted data have been explained and suggestions have been given for future study.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121873503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Return of total Assets is the proxy to measure the firm’s performance and its association with the variables representing the WCM is studied for a sample of 54 firms for the period 2004-2010.The variables like invdays and ardays show a considerable effect on the firm’s earning capability. The study proved a direct and considerable affiliation between the firm liquid position with its performance. Profitability and the firm’s size have a prominent positive association. The association between the debts ratio and the firm’s performance is inverse but this association is insignificant. Similarly, the results show insignificant relation between the profitability and the cash gap and account payable in days. The results show that there is an imperious role of better managing firm working capital with the firm’s performance.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133922784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main aim of this study is to determine the impact of ESG on financial performance. The study adopts the sample of available non-financial firms listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange of Malaysia from 2010 to 2020. The study employs two methods for calculating the dependent variable. One is an accounting-based approach and the other is market-based. This study contributes to the literature by using country-level governance factors instead of firm-level. The data is collected from Refinitiv Data-stream and WGI. This study applied GMM for the analysis of panel data. The result depicts that social and governance influence the ROA. The environmental factors increase ROE while social and governance decrease. Social and governance influence long-term market performance.The outcome of the study provides policy directions and practical implications to better understand the ESG factors.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"386 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115980532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A survey method was used to gather data. The online consumers were the unit of analysis. For checking reliability and measurement model validity, we go through confirmatory factor analysis. The technique of structural equation modelling was also used. The result presented that e-trust has been affected by all the e-s-qual dimensions. Some recommendations for further studies are to use distinct methodologies, such as focus groups and interviews. Study the e-trust in online contexts from other perspectives too. Practical implications suggest that marketers should take emphasis on enhancing customer e-trust by providing good website service qualities. Better marketing strategies should be developed by online stores so as to address consumer e-trust. Likewise, the study result provides valuable information to marketing managers, especially dealing with online stores. This study provides interesting internet marketing knowledge to researchers as well.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129979754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research studied numerous vital antecedents of knowledge hiding that are previously not examined together. We used social learning theory to explain the mechanism and conditions that induce knowledge hiding. The three-phased data were collected from 121 sales and marketing employees working in life insurance companies of Pakistan through an online survey using the measures validated in prior research. The results supported that self-serving leadership propels knowledge hiding in subordinates by signalling tolerability of such behavior. The employee Machiavellianism and a competitive work environment strengthened this relationship. The findings add to the literature on leadership and knowledge hiding behavior by examining how workers perceive knowledge hiding signals from their leaders, especially when the leader himself demonstrates self-serving conduct. The implications of these findings for theory and practices are discussed.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127787311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two econometric models formulated based on the Jorion approach of the two-factor model have been analyzed for petroleum and food sectors stock returns, market return and exchange rate (i.e., USD) for the study period 2005-2012, which represent an era of military regime proceeded by the democratic government of Pakistan Peoples Party. A sample of 37 petroleum and food sectors listed firms have been evaluated by applying the unit root test and OLS multiple regression. Further, the Quandt-Andrews test of unknown breakpoint has been applied, which showed an extended structural break during the period 2007 to 2010. Additionally, the results revealed that the coefficients of exchange rate and market return are negatively related to petroleum and food sectors stock returns. Therefore, investors must take precautions before investing funds in stocks of food and petroleum sector firms.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"210 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123392434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
