Physical health is an individual's essential living condition, and environmental health damage is the most harmful to society. Due to environmental pollution, the consequences of the damage to residents' health are severe and irreversible. In this regard, people who unfortunately suffer from environmental health damage are often in unbearable pain and are prone to pessimism and misanthropy, which in turn develops into dissatisfaction or even hostility toward society, affecting the normal functioning of society. This paper mainly discusses the following three aspects: First, from the connotation of environmental infringement and environmental pollution-induced damage to human health, it analyzes the harm and characteristics of environmental pollution to the human body and clarifies the basic theory of environmental pollution-induced damage to human health. Secondly, the DICE model measures the health damage caused by PM2.5 resulting from environmental pollution to the human body. It also puts forward the relevant legal compensation system for human body damage caused by environmental pollution in the country and provides relevant suggestions for improving the system. © 2025 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
","PeriodicalId":13435,"journal":{"name":"IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering","volume":"20 9","pages":"1405-1414"},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2025-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144767835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particularly in the future power distribution networks modeled as T-connection line topology, the current 5G standard based on the configurable frequency division multiplexing access (OFDMA) cannot perfectly meet the strict reliability requirement in data communication due to the lack of a robust signal processing strategy. This paper is concerned with improving the performance of the T-connection CDP service via the novel 5G and beyond (5G/B5G) system design. First, a reliable PIoT B5G system based on hopped-subcarrier and configurable OFDMA (FH/OFDMA) is proposed to improve the reliable connectivity for multiple CDP nodes. Second, the impact of the synchronization error and the data error of the proposed communication link on the performance of CDP, including mal-operation rate and refusal operation rate, are studied via signal analysis. The numerical analysis and simulation results verify that, compared with the current OFDMA-based 5G network, the proposed scheme boosts the reliability of CDP (i.e., lower mal-operation rate and refusal operation rate) benefited from the new communication design. The proposed FH/OFDMA-based PIoT B5G network is capable of combating the synchronization error and the data error over the complex electromagnetic environment, which enhances the robustness of the information exchange among multiple CDP nodes. © 2025 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
","PeriodicalId":13435,"journal":{"name":"IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering","volume":"20 9","pages":"1436-1443"},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2025-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144767394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The radiation field was analyzed using the radiative transfer equation, which considers the energy gained by the emission and that lost by the absorption of traveling radiation beams. Numerical simulations were performed using the radiative transfer equation and net emission coefficient models for comparisons. The radiative transfer equation model considers the radiative heat transport from the center to the fringe of the arc column; therefore, the arc column is thicker, and the current density and arc-center temperature inside the arc column are lower. In the net emission coefficient model, the arc column is thinner, and the temperature at the center of the arc becomes excessively high owing to the intense Joule heating. In the vicinity of the current-zero point, the difference in the electrical resistance of the arc column due to the radiation model becomes significant, and the net emission coefficient model overestimates the electrical resistance. This difference in electrical resistance based on the radiation model increases with the applied magnetic flux density. © 2025 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
","PeriodicalId":13435,"journal":{"name":"IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering","volume":"20 8","pages":"1315-1322"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2025-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144573964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Security and privacy concerns may be addressed by using blockchain technology. Federated learning is a paradigm for increasing data mining accuracy and precision by ensuring data privacy and security for both internet of things (IoT) devices and users in smart environments. Algorithms for dealing with limited training data and avoiding a particular model are included in the proposed model. Drones are indeed being researched and proactively employed in emergency situations, as well as catastrophic and high-casualty situations. Governance, security, flying circumstances, security and privacy, authorization, confidentiality, and specifics around the creation, maintenance, and operation of a medical drone network are now obstacles to extending their usage in emergency medicine and emergency medical service (EMS). In this paper, we present the more effective FL to protect the data privacy of drones, which involves doing local and global parameter updates for drones and exchanging training parameters concerning fog nodes, rather than sending drone raw data to the cloud. Even so, eavesdropping and analyzing parameters that are uploaded during the training procedure might still provide ground eavesdroppers with information on drone privacy and operations. Specifically, in this work, we examine how to optimize the power management strategies to optimize all the required parameters of FL security cost while being bound by battery usage of drone capacity and the necessity for quality of service (QoS) (i.e., required training time). Extensive simulations were conducted, and the results demonstrate that the proposed Secure Federated Power Control (SFPC) can effectively improve utilities for drones, promote high-quality model sharing, and ensure privacy protection in federated learning, compared with existing schemes. © 2025 The Author(s). IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering published by Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
","PeriodicalId":13435,"journal":{"name":"IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering","volume":"20 9","pages":"1393-1404"},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2025-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/tee.70025","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144767370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The lack of public charging infrastructure is hindering the further adoption of EVs in Japan. Therefore, a practical forecast is needed to analyze the spatiotemporal distribution of charging demand and aid in related fields such as infrastructure allocation and electricity grid management. This study aims to address this problem by generating high-resolution daily trips of each agent from real-life personal trips survey and deploy on multi-agent simulation software, MATsim. Subsequently, according to the proposed energy consumption model and charging rules for different types of EVs, the spatiotemporal distribution of charging demand is aggregated in the studied regions. We then compare the existing public charging stations with the predicted charging demand to identify overloads in current charging stations. The analysis revealed significant variability in charging demand across individual stations. These findings underscore the uneven utilization of charging infrastructure and emphasize the need for targeted interventions in both high-demand urban areas and underutilized suburban stations. Our framework effectively models agents' trip trajectories and generates the spatiotemporal distribution of charging demands in a bottom-up fashion, even with limited information. © 2025 The Author(s). IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering published by Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
","PeriodicalId":13435,"journal":{"name":"IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering","volume":"20 8","pages":"1219-1228"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2025-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/tee.70022","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144573127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The frequency dependences of soil conductivity and permittivity have been ignored frequently. It is desirable to accurately represent the frequency characteristics of soil when analyzing lightning over-voltages in power and telecommunication systems. However, there have not been sufficient studies of soil characteristics in the dominant frequency band of lightning currents. In this paper, the frequency dependences of the conductivity and permittivity of a soil sample, which is composed of 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, or 5-mm-diameter cement particles, are measured, and they are approximated with the Debye dispersion model. The approximated frequency characteristics of soil conductivity and permittivity are introduced into finite-difference time-domain computations using the recursive convolution method. However, the efficacy of these filters is limited, resulting in increased operational expenses. Based on Virtual Impedance Harmonic Suppression (VIHS), this paper proposes a novel control method for addressing harmonic issues in terminal grids. By adopting a dq-axis control structure, the grid-connected system using the VIHS control method and the working principle are given. Furthermore, the voltage harmonic suppression coefficient at the point of common coupling (PCC) is defined to evaluate the harmonic suppression capability of VIHS method. Due to the existence of low-order harmonics and inductive loads, the Resistive-Inductive Virtual Impedance (RIVI) is identified as the optimal combination for actual working conditions, and the impact of RIVI control parameters on harmonic suppression is analyzed. Finally, the proposed VIHS method is evaluated through simulations and experiments, and the experimental results indicate that the VIHS control method effectively reduces harmonic components of the PCC voltage. © 2025 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
","PeriodicalId":13435,"journal":{"name":"IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering","volume":"20 8","pages":"1257-1267"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2025-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144573998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in the process of using Ag/Ni contact materials have the disadvantage of welding resistance. Doping to improve the performance of Ag/Ni has long been of great interest and has been used in experimental studies, resulting in a waste of many aspects and a lack of theoretical basis. In order to address the above problems, this paper proposes a performance simulation method for W-doped Ag/Ni interface model based on the first principle of density functional theory. The interface models of Ag/Ni(15), Ag/Ni(17) and W-doped Ag/Ni(15), W-doped Ag/Ni(17) are constructed and optimized, and the work of interfacial separation, interfacial energy, density of states, and Mulliken population are obtained and analyzed by energy simulation, and the results show that the interfacial bonding strength and stability of W-doped Ag/Ni materials are enhanced. After that, the W-doped Ag/Ni contact materials were prepared by mechanical alloy process and powder metallurgy, and the consistency between the simulated interface model and the experimentally prepared contact materials was verified by the qualitative analysis of the phase structure of X-ray diffraction experiments. The wettability experimental results are in agreement with the simulation. Therefore, the calculation of interfacial properties by a first-principles approach based on density functional theory can effectively predict the welding resistance of Ag/Ni contact materials.
