For this purpose, a system of five non-linear analytical equations free of any simplifications, describing the PV module in three main operating points, has been formulated as a constrained nonlinear optimization problem. The latter has been solved by using a hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization and Pattern Search (HPSOPS) algorithm. The proposed procedure with the hybrid evolutionary algorithm has proven its effectiveness and reliability to estimate the five parameters, and its ability to reproduce the PV module characteristics for different solar irradiance and temperature conditions. The impact of solar irradiance and temperature variations on the single-diode parameters values has been also highlighted.","PeriodicalId":133593,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Signal, Control and Communication (SCC)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121674352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To avoid this problem of contamination, Soft Pilot Reuse (SPR) strategy was proposed, which is mainly based on assigning orthogonal pilot sequences to users that suffer the most on the problem of pilot contamination. In other words, the users located in the edges of cells are highly affected by the inter-cell interferences generated by the edge users of adjacent cells. Consequently, they should be assigned by orthogonal pilot sequences. This paper firstly divides users of each cell into edge users and center users that based on the users large scale fading coefficients compared to a threshold, which is specific to each cell. Thereafter, edge users are assigned with orthogonal pilot sequences while center users in all cells are obliged to reuse the same set of orthogonal pilot sequences. Moreover, the limit of using additional pilot sequences is derived, therefore the harmful effect of using extra orthogonal pilot sequences on the system throughput is analyzed and proved by simulation results.","PeriodicalId":133593,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Signal, Control and Communication (SCC)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114482752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The radiologists intend to reach an image segmentation efficiency in terms of accuracy and low computation cost. However, the pulmonary lesions segmentation is still considered as a challenging task due to the noise and intensity inhomogeneity present in Computed Tomography (CT). In this study, we proposed to accelerate the nonlinear adaptive level set model, using the Bayesian rule, by incorporated the double well potential in the regularization term to get accurate and fast pulmonary lesion segmentation in CT images. We have tested the proposed method on different sized and localized lesions. All the images were taken from the database without any preprocessing. The experimental results show significant speed improvement without losing the precision of segmentation.","PeriodicalId":133593,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Signal, Control and Communication (SCC)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128894366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These defects are mainly due to manufacturing errors or welding processes. In this context, image processing especially segmentation is proposed to detect and localize efficiently different types of defects. It is a challenging task since radiographic images have deficient contrast, poor quality and uneven illumination caused by the inspection techniques. The usual segmentation technique uses a region of interest ROI from the original image. In this article, a robust and automatic method is presented to detect linear defect from the original image without selection of ROI based on canny detector and a modified ‘Hough Transform’ technique. This task can be subdivided into the following steps: firstly, preprocessing step with Gaussian filter and contrast stretching; secondly, segmentation technique is used to isolate weld region from background and non-weld using Adaptative Thresholding and to extract edges; thirdly, detection, location of linear defect and limiting the welding area by Hough Transform. The experimental results show that our proposed method gives good performance for industrial radiographic images.","PeriodicalId":133593,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Signal, Control and Communication (SCC)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134029178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Identifying insulation faults in the shortest possible time prevents the occurrence of irreparable damage. This paper investigate the evolution study of the per unit length parameters (line parameters) of a power cable according to the frequency. So, the study was performed using the numerical method of finite elements. Through this method we exploit the FEMM (Finite Element Magnetic Method) software which gives the values of these parameters for a wide range of frequencies. Hence, we can accomplish the exact parameters per unit length evolution of the cable depending frequency. The importance of this method is that it allows for system analysis in the transitional regime that facilitates the identification of cable parameters and diagnostics in case of solid fault knowing the variation of parameters.","PeriodicalId":133593,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Signal, Control and Communication (SCC)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114674693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using identical PV, under strictly the same set of technical and meteorological conditions, a comparison of these Three algorithms is done. Following three criteria, Stability, Rapidity and energy efficiency, this comparison shows the advantage of the use of an MPPT with a variable tracking step. Until recently, the role of speech to understand emotion has been frequently ignored. In this paper, we have developed an emotion recognition system based on vocal channel highlighting the impact of the link between the features used for characterizing emotion state and the nature of emotion. For the purpose of this work, we have examined several features extraction methods (MFCC, LFCC and Energy) applied with Hidden Markov Model (HMM) as classification system. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated on real condition speech signal (IEMOCAP database). It is shown that the recognition of emotion varies significantly depending on the nature of emotion. In order to evaluate the degradation level, the main indicator may be the measurement of on-state resistance (R$_{DS-on}$), which is systematically associated with the evolution of the internal device structure. This is a study of temperature effects on I-V characteristics of N-channel power RF LDMOS devices, and especially of RDS-on resistance; which is a main constraint of LDMOS devices in high temperature operations, that can partially or total change the performances of physical and electrical device. R$_{DS-on}$ has strong temperature dependence. The main parameters relevant to the temperature effects of the electrical characterization of the device is reported and proven by the basic physical behavior. The analysis of the experimental results is presented and the physical simulations (2D ATLAS–SILVACO) are used to explain and observe the physical preview of temperature impacts on power RF LDMOS performance. The physical parameters like current lines, concentration, electric field and mobility are taken into consideration follows temperature dependence. Finally, initial impacts analysis is discussed.","PeriodicalId":133593,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Signal, Control and Communication (SCC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125699774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
