It studies the BER of an embedded switching between the ZF spatial multiplexing and the Alamouti STBC when it is combined with three beamforming techniques: the ZF-beamforming, the STBC-adaptive beamforming, and the spatial multiplexing-adaptive beamforming. It is shown that the embedded switching technique is efficient when it is combined with the STBC-adaptive beamforming as well as the spatial multiplexing-adaptive beamforming.
