Unlike previous Wien-type oscillators, the condition of oscillation of the proposed circuit can be controlled electronically using the current gain of ECCII. The structure is realized using grounded resistor which is easy for developing as a voltage-controlled oscillator. The condition and frequency of oscillations can be controlled orthogonally. PSPICE simulation results are given to confirm the presented theory.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121249733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To activate a ring oscillator circuit at an input voltage of 0.35 V, we deployed depletion-mode NMOS transistors in a ring oscillator. Generated 0.35-V clock signals were boosted to nominal 0.7-V clock signals by voltage doubler circuits using depletion-mode NMOS transistors. Finally, these clock signals were used in a boosted-gate charge pump circuit. Through SPICE simulations, we verified that our DC-DC converter generated an output voltage of 3.8 V at an input voltage of 0.35 V. The load current was 1.6 uA, and the total power consumption was 56 uW.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122635668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In case of smart health, we need to help patients and healthcare practitioners manage their appointment easier. Nowadays, there are many patients who are receiving treatment for diseases in hospitals and this tends to be increase in every year. In some diseases, doctor needs to follow-up the patient symptom continuously so that the doctor makes a follow-up appointment for the next treatment. Some hospitals currently have no patient appointment reminder when the appointment is coming while some hospitals remind their patients via either telephones or short message service (SMS). This results in costs and can be errors in the appointment reminder. This paper proposes an automated patient appointment reminder for cross-platform mobile application. The patients can receive appointment notification before the appointment date, be able to postpone or cancel the appointment easily when they cannot come to see the doctor or the patient get better. In addition, the doctors and patients can observe their appointment via mobile application. The application performance is evaluated by user satisfaction scores.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128733432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is widely used in human life and in various applications. One of them is radio frequency (RF) based applications. In the RF application, frequency bandwidth is an important resource. It is limited by range and should be used wisely. Thus, a regulation for governing the allocation of RF bandwidth needs to be supported by RF monitoring system. It will help the regulation to monitor illegal RF utilization and prevent interference among legal RF sources. In this paper, we propose a software defined radio (SDR) based RF monitoring systems using kurtosis and energy based spectrum detection. These two techniques are selected because they can complement each other to enhance the accuracy of monitoring. Both of them are blind-detection method which means they do not need to know the characteristic of the incoming signal. Hence, it is very useful for detecting the unknown and illegal RF signals. We evaluate the system using LabVIEW. From evaluation results, we can see that the proposed system can indicate the occupied frequencies.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114554388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In new network architectures, mobility management is an important aspect for the future of mobile networks. To offer the mobility of an entire network (e.g., vehicles), it needs the mobility protocol for a moving group of users or devices. This paper proposes a DMM solution based on SDN architecture for NEMO called SDN-NEMO. This solution offers a lot of advantages including no need to deploy any mobility-related component at the access router, independence of the underlying technologies, and per-flow mobility support. To evaluate the SDN-NEMO, we describe an analytical evaluation for signaling and packet deliver costs. The numerical results shows the SDN-NEMO can provide better costs and optimal route for the mobile network.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121654402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to preserve hue, color image processing is often carried out in HSI or HSV color space which is translated from RGB color space. Transforming from RGB color space to another and processing in these spaces usually generate gamut problem. We propose image enhancement algorithms which conserve hue and preserve the range (gamut) of the R, G, B channels. First we show an intensity processing method while preserving hue and saturation. In this method, arbitrary gray-scale transform functions can be applied in the intensity component. Next, a hue and intensity preserving saturation mapping method is proposed. Arbitrary gray-scale methods can be also applied in the saturation mapping. Finally, we combine two methods and realize the hue-preserving color image processing with a high arbitrariness without gamut problem. Numerical results confirm our theoretical results and show that our processing scheme performs much better than the conventional hue-preserving methods.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126523076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed methods are considered in an optimal receiver behind the multiantenna system that provides by approaching a zero-forcing (ZF) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) based on the blind signal processing techniques. In this paper, we measured the 4 × 4 MIMO calibration kit with 2.45 GHz sleeve monopole array antennas and employed a vector network analyzer (VNA) to make of channel sounding. The measurement results after data processing is demonstrated by a realistic received signal and we point out how to evaluate the multipath interference with the proposed methods. For the MIMO multiantenna system, we guarantee that the proposed blind channel estimation methods helps to cancel the multipath fading channel and maintains an uncertainty of receiving signals in multiantenna system as perfectly.","PeriodicalId":131543,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132065171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
