Of particular concern is the high grade 2 disability rate of 5 to 15% among new cases reported from the state that indicates presence of hidden cases in community and delay in diagnosis. the actual number of cases in the community is expected to be much higher. Insulin is required by the body cellsto remove and use glucose from the blood. The insulin and its various analogues are essential in management of type 1 diabetes mellitus. This study has been done to analyze how variation in various storage conditions and climatic changes causes change in therapeutic efficacy. Storage condition affects the stability of insulin as observed in a study in which insulin stored at temperature between 32 and 37°C showed 14 to 18% decrease in its potency and could not cause a significant decrease in blood sugar level when compared with those receiving insulin stored at 5°C. This work was done with the aim of finding the effect of climatic changes and storage condition on efficacy of insulin.","PeriodicalId":131259,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Health and Diabetes","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129175721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the forefront health issues are the escalating incidence of noncommunicable and chronic diseases. The nature of these conditions imposes a significant burden on health resources. However, the greater and often silent brunt is borne by the people afflicted by them. They are charged with making lifelong, daily decisions that significantly bear an impact on their care. The health educator workforce is dwindling, but the need for health literacy is on the rise. It is therefore critical that health educators need to be trained in a way that ensures their performance in imparting health-related knowledge and skills is maximized to ensure optimal outcomes in persons living with chronic disease. Patient empowerment is key, and embracing the patients as partners in the education process rather than recipients is advocated by numerous authors. It is also important to ensure we embrace evidence that have proven useful in other areas such as HIV/AIDS management. Last, it is useful to embrace the changing role of the health education, not merely as instructor charged to deliver health information but rather as a facilitator of behavior change.","PeriodicalId":131259,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Health and Diabetes","volume":"07 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129307906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Without conversation, no meaningful social activity can take place. While most communication through this mode is pleasant, some conversations may turn out to be difficult. Such conversations can be characterized by any of the following: discomfort or distress prior to the interview, during the talk, or after completing the meeting. The “difficulty” of a conversation may be due to the topic of the discussion, the personal characteristics of the conversant, or perhaps the external environment. It is not necessary for every “optimal” conversation to end in agreement, neither is every interview marked by disagreement considered “difficult.” These features are universal. They apply to conversations in health care and diabetes care, just as they do in other professional and personal domains.","PeriodicalId":131259,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Health and Diabetes","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134181113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
