Methods : We searched for studies describing the physiology of swallowing and aspects involved in dysphagia, such as definition, causes and their impact on quality of life. We used the electronic databases Pubmed, Medline, Scielo, books, as well as articles identified in the references. Results : Deglutition disorders may occur due to disease and / or treatment modality, persisting during or after termination of treatment. The frequency and severity of dysphagia will depend on the modality of treatment used, location and stage of the tumor, when involved in structures that participate in swallowing. Patients with tumors in more advanced stages and located in the pharynx try to present worsening of swallowing function. Such factors may directly affect swallowing and quality of life of the patient, especially in family, social and lifestyle relationships. Such responsibility may occur in the ethical, civil and criminal spheres, among others. Over the years, the society and the professional-patient relationship have changed supported by current legislations, as well as increased information and communication. So, we have witnessed an increasing number of disputes in court involving dentists and theirs patients, which reveals the importance of professionals to know the regulations in the practice of dentistry and the consequences of the illegal act. Objective: The present study aimed to provide knowledge, through a literature review, on the legal aspect of professional responsibility of the dental surgeon and to highlight the importance of dental documentation as a means of proving professional performance. Methods: It was used books, theses and scientific papers published in electronic databases such as SciELO, Bireme, MedLine and Lilacs, in Portuguese language, besides laws and regulations published in official electronic addresses. Among the extraoral access to approach the infraorbital margin there are cutaneous accesses (subciliary, subtarsal and infraorbital) and Transconjunctival with some variations. The transconjuntivais access enable orbital floor display, infraorbital rim and medial orbital wall for placement of grafts, osteotomies and osteosynthesis, leaving imperceptible scars in the conjunctiva. The zygomatic complex is anatomically located in the midface and due to its anterior projection it is quite affected by trauma, and facial bone structure, after the nasal bones, more prone to fractures. Case Description: This paper discusses a clinical case on the transconjunctival access to orbitozygomatic fracture approach of a female patient JJC, 30, discussing their indications, techniques and complications. The type of equipment or surgical armamentarium can directly influence bone repair. The aim of this study was to perform a literature review concerning the use of piezoelectric technology in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures evaluating its indications, advantages and disadvantages. For the preparation of this critical review of the literature, a search of scientific articles was carried out in PUBMED until the year 2012. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria porposed by the authors, a total of 28 articles were found compatible to the objective of the study. As a conclusion, it can be stated that the piezoeletric system has been shown to be a very promising surgical technique indicated to oral surgeries, and providing accurate, clean, and minimally traumatic osteotomies for the soft tissues. According to World Health Organization, it is estimated that those are responsible for about 17, 3 million or 30% of total deaths in the world each year. Among cardiovascular diseases, the thrombotic disease is one of the most prevalent. Pharmaceutical strategies to the thrombosis treatment, due to the predominance of platelet and fibrin depending on the type of thrombus, include anti-platelets medicine, anticoagulant and fibrinolitical agents, even though they have different courses of action, they aim to interfere on main steps of forming and maintenance of blood clots, increasing substantially the risk of spontaneous or induced bleedings. The general trend is upward for patients who are being treated with oral anticogulant to be able to undergo dentistry procedures, with no need of any interruption or modification during therapy, yet with emphasis on preventive procedures of local hemostasis. This approach is still controversial to patients which make use of AAS, considering that the action of interrupting the usage some days before the procedure continues to be a prudent course of action in order to reduce the risk of hemorrhage, and differently from anticoagulants, apparently with no damages to the patient. Modernly the resinous components are used in direct adhesive restorations, in orthodontic brackets´ luting, in indirect restorations´ luting, in canal root filling, in sealing areas of bad coalescence like pit and fissures, among others. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to do a review about the evolution of adhesive systems and to discuss the main efforts of the present time in perfecting them in the sense of minimizing their inconveniences. METHODS: Selection of papers through electronic bases LILACS and PubMed/ MEDLINE using indexing terms like: dentin-bonding agents, adhesives and hydrolysis among the years of 1999 and 2016. RESULTS: The adhesive systems have been reason studies in the sense of preserving the existent interface between the composed resin and enamel and dentine. That union presents problems as: hydrolytic degradation, separation of phases among hydrophilic and hydrophobic components, homogeneity lack in the formation of hybrid layer, exhibition of collagenous fibrils no completely involved by the monomers to be polymerized, leaching monomers, differences in osmotic concentration gradient, difficulty of larger intimacy among organic and inorganic materials, interaction or removal of the smear layer and presence of quiescent bacterias in adhesive interface. The largest inconveniences are: nanoleakage, with bacterial invasion and secondary decays.
