The approximated simplest fuzzy logic controller (ASFLC) is a 4-rule fuzzy logic controller (FLC), which successfully approximates the control actions of a 49-rule FLC using some compensating factors. The input scaling factors (SFs) of ASFLC are tuned online by a single nonlinear parameter using bipolar sigmoid activation function. The online tuning of SFs of ASFLC results in better dynamic response of shunt APF. The scheme is tested under randomly varying nonlinear loads. The simulation results presented under transient and steady-state operating conditions demonstrate that dynamic performance of proposed ST-ASFLC is better than 49-rule FLC, ASFLC with fixed SFs, and ST-ASFLC using the log sigmoid (unipolar) activation function. Considering its diminishing and time-dependent effect, assessment of the overall effect of emissions is very complex. It is possible to evolve a generalized methodology for arriving at a single emission discounting number for the process, using the concept of time value of carbon emission flow. The number incorporates the effect of the emission resulting from the process as well as the machinery over the entire operational lifespan. The advantage of this method is its quantitative aspect as well as its flexible nature and can be applied to any process or technology. Various applications of H.264/AVC includes conversational, storage, and streaming. It also includes many advanced H.264/AVC video decoders using such coding tools that provides improved coding efficiency for a very wide range of applications which includes video telephony, real-time videoconferencing (for low bit rate video codec), direct-broadcast television, blue-ray disc, digital video broadcast, running video etc. This paper recommends considering the decoder performance on different video quality measures along with their related algorithm mainly Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) and deblocking filter. In this work, a design is proposed to extract some useful energy out of the grazing wind on the top surface. A converging air duct passage along with spiral casing is provided on top of roof which is used to drive a vertical axis turbine. The produced energy can be used to drive an alternator to produce electricity. These vehicles emit toxic gases, which results in environmental pollution and create massive health problem. For energy security and greener tomorrow, the concept of hybrid vehicle came into existence. Hybrid vehicles consist of alternative energy storages like fuel-cell, super capacitor, battery or hybrid storage. The presence of two power sources, i.e., engine and battery, makes it necessary to intelligently split the power between them to minimize the fuel consumption. An intelligent controller should be used to split the on road power demand for optimum fuel economy. This article applies a genetic algorithm based controller to toggle between engine and battery. The optimization is based on the selection of vital parameters such as state of charge in the battery, engine on time and power demand. This paper deals with an approximate calculation which shows the effect of saving one unit of electricity per week per customer annually. The losses and efficiency is analysed at transmission and distribution stages of power system network to find actual energy needed to supply one unit of energy to the end user. We have calculated the amount of emission of CO2, SOX, NOX and other gases, which are produced while burning the coal, that get mixed with the atmosphere causing greenhouse effect and one of the main reason behind global warming. We have also calculated the amount of air, heat energy, and oxygen required to burn the coal. Finally the cost of energy (coal cost) saved annually at the national level is examined. In this paper performance analysis of PV systems at various Insolations, Temperature, Partial shading were examined and their relationship with output power has been investigated in MATLAB/Simulink environment, whereas the test for Tilt angle was carried out using PVSYST software. Further the simulated results were optimized using Fuzzy Logic Toolbox of MATLAB and it was concluded that optimum output power lies in the medium range, whereas current and voltage in low range. The simulated model corresponds to the practical 2 KW panel installed and MPP is tracked using MB technology incorporating pyranometer. Simulations are carried out at different switching frequencies in view to analyze the effect on harmonic distortion of output voltage. The simulation results are verified using a prototype.
