However, it is challenging to define the right measurement locations in a 3D environment. Waist girth is a key body measurement and is hard to define on a 3D body model following existing manual body measurement standards. The purpose of this research is to explore some commonly used waist definitions and analyze them to see which one provides the best and most consistent results. Four waist definitions were selected and labeled on sample scans from the Size USA database. The researcher then evaluated each location and marked the level that best represented the real waist level. It was found that the Center-b/w-bust-hips was the most effective way to find the waist level on a 3D model. However, a new 3D waist definition with better performance is demanded.","PeriodicalId":129029,"journal":{"name":"Pivoting for the Pandemic","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126411358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effluent characteristics of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and total organic carbon (TOC) were also measured. ASTM D5673-16 Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry was used to measure the Al ions in the treated liquors and in the substrates. COD and TOC were measured using the COD 8000 method and the TOC analyzer. Both for fabric and yarn, the Al remaining in the substrate decreased with an increase in PAS. The 7% wof PAS concentration was significantly more efficient (p<0.050) compared to the often recommended 12% concentration. This research supports the use of PAS as a mordant for the selected wool substrates when the effluent is neutralized. Further studies could investigate lower concentrations of PAS, the feasibility of reusing the treated liquors, and the impact of PAS amount to dye color parameters.","PeriodicalId":129029,"journal":{"name":"Pivoting for the Pandemic","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125111175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, some small businesses do not use social media, citing lack of time or resources as barriers. According to the diffusion of innovation theory, perceptions about an innovation predict whether an individual or organization adopts or rejects the innovation; and these perceptions are driven by internal and external factors driving the decision unit's knowledge of the innovation. Norms of the social system surrounding the decision unit can exert external pressures, while the decision unit's internal characteristics, such as organizational culture of openness/learning, can also play a pivotal role in its innovation adoption/rejection decision. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to examine how the levels of external pressures and organizational culture of openness/learning influence small business owners'/managers' decision to use social media.","PeriodicalId":129029,"journal":{"name":"Pivoting for the Pandemic","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125045869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To enhance my professional works, I sought an opportunity to learn machine knitting. I also learned to knit cords using six-needle cord knitting machine. After returning to my own institution, the lack of knitting equipment posed a challenge for my practicing, progressing, and perfecting of the techniques I learned. Nevertheless, I undertook the challenge and utilized my new understanding in knitting. The purpose of the design was to create a cocktail dress using an unconventional material— specifically yarn. The dress features bias drapes of yellow and blue ottoman stitch pieces with a blue all-knit piece and red cords strap forming a knot with tassels on the back. The yarn colors were selected for the contrast effect. The content of yarns is 100% acrylic with characteristics of durability, easy care, and softness.","PeriodicalId":129029,"journal":{"name":"Pivoting for the Pandemic","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122124322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, this study aims to investigate the relationship between consumers’ motivations, perceived co-creation value, engagement toward brand-engagement activities, as well as brand loyalty. Additionally, the mediating effect of perceived co-creation value was examined. Data were collected from 237 consumers and analyzed using structural equation modelling. Empirical results revealed significant influences of respective consumers’ motivation on their perceived co-creation value, which, in turn, had a positive influence on their engagement in social media as well as brand loyalty. Results also suggest that perceived co-creation value mediate the relationships between consumers’ motivations and engagement.","PeriodicalId":129029,"journal":{"name":"Pivoting for the Pandemic","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122141931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
