Many systems have been proposed and tested to achieve the desired automation, none of which have been considered a standard. Global positioning system is an effective and fast mode of communication and may be considered as an accurate tool to determine ones navigational information. The present work proposes an algorithm to automate the railway level crossings, which works based on global positioning system data. An experiment has been conducted to detect one onboard location from a stationary point, with the help of Global Positioning System. Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) is one of the major parameter which regulates the solar generation. This frequent change of solar generation makes a great impact on the power factor of a hybrid system. To compensate the power factor with compensation device for a PV connected system must consider a relation between power factors with PV generation. In this paper author established a relation between Direct Normal Irradiation which regulate the PV generation with power factor of the system to make system more stable and economical. As MRI images suffers from contrast degradations, these contrast degradations in MRI images can be solved by application of image contrast enhancement techniques making it more suitable for medical applications. The main objective of image enhancement is to obtain a high quality image after improving the characteristics of the input image. Contrast enhancement techniques are used in images to enhance the visibility quality of internal human body texture in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images. In this paper we have applied the Histogram Equalization (HE), Adaptive Histogram Equalization (AHE) and Contrast-Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) in order to improve the contrast of MRI medical images. Experimental results have shown good efficiency to improve the contrast of MRI medical images with very high quality. This paper aims to investigate the effect of different types of demand response program on transformer loss of life. Various standards and models exist in literature to calculate hottest spot temperature and loss of life. In this paper, the IEEE standard thermal model of transformer with variable load input and ambient temperature is developed. The model is validated using real-time load data, ambient temperature, and manufacturer data of a 25 MVA, 33/11 kV, substation distribution transformer. So the healthcare professional’s community is strongly emphasizing on developing low cost and efficient real-time ECG monitoring devices for continuous monitoring and predictive detection of life-threatening conditions which can be addressed at an early stage, before its lethal onset. In recent times it is observed that real-time ECG monitoring systems gained popularity due to their practical designs and comfortable attachments which do not interfere with patient/subject mobility as monitoring is performed in their natural environment, so due to motion artifacts or several other artifacts their outputs degrade at the analysis end. For free space optical communication, atmospheric losses are the dominating factors in the link budget analysis. This paper discusses various factors which influence the medium between the transmitter and receiver and the link budget calculations. Transmission power is the main priority in link budget, which decreases gradually along the path due to attenuation effects caused by weather conditions. Theoretically, more transmission power is received at the receiver when scattering is low due to low level of attenuation, Total losses should be catered in such a way that sufficient power is available at the receiver to retrieve the information. To improve reliability of a FSO link, an intermediate relay node may be used. The overall link quality may be further improved by using an additional radio-frequency (RF) link assisting the relay, as described in this paper. For assessing the link quality, we have considered three metrics, namely, probability of outage, average bit error rate and ergodic capacity. Analytical expressions for these three metrics have been found which contains easily computable Meijer’s G functions and the numerical results are verified through Monte Carlo simulations. The turbulence in FSO links is modelled with Málaga distribution whereas the fading in the RF link is modelled with Rayleigh distribution. Despite the outstanding growth of the railway network, it still plagued by several problems that require immediate attention. In most cases, the train accidents occur at railway tracks due to undefined cracks or irregular inspection [2]. The conventional manual inspection is not very efficient. Therefore, our technology proposes automatic system for crack detection as well as missing fastener classification using a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) technique which is a combination of most useful Ultrasonic and Eddy Current testing methods [3]. First, HPU is designed with low impedance (coupled line) and high impedance section. Further, the structure is modified by folding the low impedance section inside the free space of HPU and analyzed its slow-wave characteristics. The proposed unit provides high slow-wave characteristics compared to the reference line. In addition to this, two transmission zeros (TZs) are obtained by adjusting the impedances and electrical lengths of HPU. The proposed unit is used to design a compact WPD due to the high slow-wave factor (SWF). Therefore, the physical dimension of the proposed WPD occupied only 76% circuit area compared to reference WPD.
