The literature on Self-driving cars has steadily been growing. However, there has not been any effort to systematically select, review, and synthesize the literature on this topic. A systematic literature review is conducted that reports different perspectives of autonomous cars like liabilities and responsibilities of these Self-driving cars in case of accidents, ethics related to decision making, potentials and drawbacks of using Self-driving cars, people's perspective about them and challenges faced by them. Data has been extracted from different papers to identify various aspects of self-driving cars as discussed above. More recent and current findings are considered to deal with these research issues. Review's and findings presented in this paper are expected to help researchers and practitioners to understand the Self-driving cars from various perspectives.","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132782417","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It presents a brief of color-blind disability and the challenges faced by color-blind users while operating mobile-phones. The mobile OS provide static color-blind color schemes for different types of color-blind users that need to be adapted manually. A research application is developed to introduce an adaptive interface scheme with sensing of the colorblindness type and switch to respective color-blind mode. The evaluation of this adaptive environment is performed through usability experimentation. User task effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction are the criterion for the said evaluation. The results concluded that the provided color-blind modes may increase the usability in user satisfaction but not much gain can be obtained in effectiveness and efficiency. It is also found that only switching to respective mode might not make much difference in adaptive and non-adaptive environment until the adaptive interfaces are properly designed through user centered design (UCD) for specific users.","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128793057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Authors frequently outsource their work to freelance writers or forge a new piece of writing by using text spinners. These activities seemingly go unnoticed by the readers. In this paper, we propose a way of uncovering true authorship by sampling statistical model of writing features. We acquire dataset of original work from a group of authors and perform feature vector analysis to formulate every author's profile. The profile includes normalized laxative and grammatical components derived from sample space of dataset. Based upon those features, once a new writing is fed, the algorithm extracts relevant components, assigns associative weights and classifies the writing with respect to the author. The algorithm intelligently adjusts weights for swift convergence and precise classification. So far our system is able to achieve an accuracy of 100% above a certain range of words. We have tested it on various text models, spun texts and plagiarised content and the performance of our algorithm has been very promising. It is a great help in academia and professional publishing houses.","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122294590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the advancement in sensor devices various automated systems based on sensors have been emerged. These systems automatically perform tasks on the basis of information provided by sensors to actuators that control the behavior of devices accordingly. Due to limited resources, energy constraints and interference in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) to obtain the longer performance from sensor nodes is challenging for researchers. Energy is very scarce resource in WSNs that need to be preserved for longer working of WSN. Transmitting data to the base station by sensor nodes simultaneously can create congestion in WSNs. Clustering effectively transmit data from all nodes towards BS as data is collected by cluster heads from all other nodes. Cluster heads then transmit collected data towards base station. A new algorithm is proposed in this paper, which uses clustering technique to form unequal sized clusters of sensor nodes to transmit data to the base station. This distributed algorithm calculates the residual energy of nodes, distance from base station and number of nodes in order to increase the life time of sensor networks. Results show that the proposed algorithm performs better and improves the network life time and lessens the energy utilization","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131703840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many researchers from industry and academia have contributed to classify games on the basis of different parameters. The previous taxonomies are built for specific purposes, but they do not consider the structure of games. A very few classifications, known so for, are specific to mobile games. A game may be composed of different levels or parts. Similarities and differences among those parts play an important role in understanding and developing similar games. We propose a new taxonomy on the basis of structural similarities of mobile games. We build a mathematical foundation for our taxonomy and devise some categories of games. The simplicity of our proposed taxonomy helps researchers to understand the structure of games.","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128277558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Context awareness highlights the significance of contexts to be utilized to ease user's tasks and fulfill their desired objectives. Context-aware systems acquire contextual information from sensors, embedded sensors in smart devices and information system, perform reasoning and then adapt their behavior accordingly. With the advent of mobile devices such as smart phones, GPS system, PDAs, and wireless sensor nodes, context-aware systems are getting to be progressively prevalent nowadays. These systems are heterogeneous in nature and run in a highly decentralized environment. However, the imperfect nature of context causes inconsistent behavior of the system. This paper presents a contextual defeasible reasoning(CDL) based conceptual framework for context-aware multi-agent system, which uses the notion of multi-context system and distributed semantic knowledge sources, to model the heterogeneous system and state interesting resource bounded as well as conflicting properties of the system. We illustrate our approach using a smart rescue system and show context-aware agents' reasoning processes.","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129651687","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, we often fail to remember essential tasks, to-do list, important meetings and assignments. One way is to create manual reminders and getting notifications accordingly; but this needs human intervention. This work presents a more promising approach for design and development of a smart android app that will access SMS's consisting of useful information for creating reminders and notifications irrespective of any human involvement. It will be of paramount interest for users to get reminded and notified about expiry dates of availed mobile tariffs, upcoming meetings and significant activities. This app can parse messages sent by friends, family and co-workers and auto schedule reminders if arrived messages contain any useful schedulable information. In addition, this app can also process emails received through Gmail, and Messages received via Facebook and WhatsApp. This app is incredibly customizable according to user preferences and has option to decide when and if the user should get notified. As a part of user testing an initial version of this smart app was uploaded to Google Play store. End-user response was measured in terms of reviews, ratings and app downloads as discussed in results section.","PeriodicalId":128949,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advancements in Computational Sciences (ICACS)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122104045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
