IT professionals have been facing difficulties and risks for the development of software projects. This research focuses on the effectiveness of two data mining algorithms that are Apriori algorithm and FP-Tree Algorithm in Software Engineering domain. These two algorithms have shown the capability of generating association rules in software engineering data. Associations between software risk factors and risk mitigation have been found using these algorithms which is a unique idea. Both the algorithms have different methodologies but with the same goals in the form of rules generation. This research paper targeted three things. Tracing of these two algorithms applied to the given dataset, Comparison in terms of pros and cons of both the algorithms and the combination of the two, novel adaptive architecture in a clear way. The proposed security scheme, which uses both a password and the various devices, is always open by malicious user. In order to solve that problem, the biometric authentication systems are introduced but they have a problem which is the secondary damage to the user. So, the authentication methods using EEG (Electroencephalography) signals were developed. However, the size of EEG signals is big and it causes a lot of problems for the real-time authentication. And the encryption scheme is necessary. In this paper, we proposed an efficient encryption scheme with junk data using chaos map on the EEG signals for person authentication in real-time.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122290974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diseases share some similarities of symptoms that make them difficult to separate without the proper diagnostic tools. The majority of pneumonia cases occur in the third world countries wherein even the basic diagnostic tools (e.g.: x-ray) are extremely rare. In these countries, the WHO recommends using rapid breathing and chest in-drawing as approach to diagnose pneumonia in children with cough. As the results, many asthma patients were misdiagnosed as pneumonia and prescribed for unnecessary antibiotic treatment. In this study, we propose a cough sound analysis based method to differentiate pneumonia from asthma. Cough is the major symptom of pneumonia and asthma. Past studies showed the acoustic of cough sounds may carry important information related with the diseases. However, there were no attempts to use cough sounds to separate pneumonia and asthma in pediatric population. Our method extracted sound features such as Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients, non-Gaussianity score and Shannon entropy. The features were then used to develop artificial neural network classifiers. Tested using leave one out validation technique in eighteen subjects, our method achieved sensitivity, specificity and Kappa of 89%, 100%, and 0.89 respectively. The results show the potential of our method to be developed as a tool to differentiate pneumonia from asthma in remote areas.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116802403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

EEG signals were segmented and averaged into the event of stimulus to obtain the ERPs pattern. In neurophysiology research, ERP component at P300 will forms the visual responsiveness to detect the cognitive processes. P300 component is decomposed using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) with Daubechies (db4) at 7th level decomposition. In conclusion, visual stimuli assessment brings up a dissimilar in P300 pattern between two-phases. The mean performance shows that, the younger children tend to working memory impaired rather than older children.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132182202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The image is first divided into 64 × 64 pixels block. The progressive pixel-to-pixel evaluation is done to find the individual pixel intensity in each block. Then the different value between the maximum pixel intensity value and the minimum pixel intensity value is calculated. This value will lead to a special representation of each where the block with high difference value is set as the hard region block while the block with low difference value is set as the smooth region block. This region will be decomposed individually using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and thresholded using different threshold method based on the block characteristic. The proposed method shows compression did well on image with a large smooth area.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124585423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the operation modes of the conventional H-Bridge four quadrants drive dc chopper for series motor are limited to driving and regenerative braking (only with the presence of residual magnetism), with no capability of reverse operation. Hence, a new Four Quadrants dc drive chopper for series motor in EV's application, optimized by Artificial Intelligence is developed. This paper further describes the application of Self Tuning Fuzzy Logic for controlling chopper operation of the proposed Four Quadrants dc drive chopper. The appropriate mode of operation will guarantee optimum consumption of the battery power, thus provide longer distance traversed.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128757514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a voltage droop control scheme applied to a back-to-back converter architecture is proposed. The control objectives are to regulate secondary circuit/feeder voltage, internal dc-link voltage and feed-in current so as to maximize active power penetration and to maintain an optimal voltage profile. The converters and their controllers are designed and modelled as a stage in cascade with a typical benchmark LV feeder, and simulated using MATLAB. Basing on the simulated cases, it is observed that this concept can be applied as a means of increasing the maximum permissible active power penetration, with optimal voltage profile, in the LV reticulation.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121123912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is specially true when talking about the state-of-the-art technologies used in transportation, as is the highly nonlinear Electromagnetic Suspension (EMS) system of a high-speed Magnetic Levitation (Maglev) train, where a very accurate and highly robust control system is required. The implementation of a control of this type requires of a deep knowledge of the physics behind the system, followed by the design of a high performance control, even when using standard control methods. Moreover, as the Maglev technology is still very new and under development, seldom it is possible to test a developed control on a real Maglev system for getting accurate experimental results. Therefore the importance of this work, which explores, through simulation and experimental tests, the development and implementation of an uncoupled and parallelly actuated PID control for the purpose of levitating an accurately scaled Maglev EMS system (a 1:29 scaled prototype of the EMS system in a bogie of the Shanghai Maglev train), yielding valuable experimental results. The results obtained show that the levitation is feasible by using the purposed control technique, but they also highlight the importance of taking into account the inherent coupling of the system for achieving better performance results.","PeriodicalId":128830,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134265127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
