The main objective of this paper is to propose a new modeling approach using an Adaptive Network based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) to investigate the electrical performance of GaAs/Si solar cell including the interface defects generated by the large lattice mismatch between Si and GaAs. The influence of the interfacial defects on the efficiency has been conducted by extensive simulation using both Atlas 2-D numerical simulator and ANFIS-based computation in order to predict the device behavior under critical conditions. With a nonlinear model of this process, the use of identification and control concepts for linear model as developed in the literature isn't useful to be used. So that, the nonlinear systems are approximated to Linear Time Invariant (LTI) systems, that is a local approximation of real system. To take account of the nonlinearity and using the linear approaches developed, a linear parameter varying modeling is required. The nonlinear model is transformed to an LPV one using the automated generation method for affine LPV representations. This method consists of generating an LPV model where the nonlinearities are hidden in the vector of parameters. Then, this transformation method is applied to a wind turbine system to get an LPV model for this benchmark system. This aims to introduce a less restrictive condition on the nonlinear functions. To ensure asymptotic stability, sufficient conditions are formulated in Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). For comparison, an observer based on the utilization of the One-Sided Lipschitz condition is introduced. In order to keep power transformer in good condition, regular inspection and maintenance is needed after equipment put into service. Various preventive test, on-line monitoring and portable test are must, but condition evaluation and fault diagnosis for power transformer still is kind of art, which normally depend on standards, guideline or accumulated experiences on-site. In this paper, insulating condition is evaluated by equipment's operating load, and time series model is established to analyze load characteristics. After outlier value extraction and data reduction, two typical load growth modes have been proposed. Results show that the proposed load time series model could be applied to equipment operating status trend analysis. This paper presents some solutions to improve the wind power integration rate in the network while maintaining its stability. The study is based on the use of regulators and FACTS (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems) systems. We presented in a first step the various power grid components models as well as regulators and FACTS system. Then, the maximum wind turbines integration rate has been calculated for different cases after checking the power grid stability criteria. In this research study, a motion descriptor is constructed based on the extraction of optical flow features across consecutive frames for the classification of human activities. A histogram of features is derived from images taking into account the solely local properties embedded within the motion map. Feature selection which is based on the proximity of instances belonging to the same class is performed to obtain the most distinctive features. Experimental results carried out on the Weizmann dataset confirmed the potency for the proposed method with a high recognition rate of 95.02 % to distinguish between different basic human action classes such as running, walking, waving and jumping. The dataset is made of 19 basic actions for 9 different subjects. Its effectiveness can be improved by reducing the Electro Magnetic Interference EMI problem with better Electromagnetic compatibility EMC immunity of the component. This work presents the EMC immunity testing of RF-MEMS for different substrate cases Silicon (Si), Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) and Silicon Carbide (SiC). This MEMS structure is exited by used the electromagnetic solver HFSS (high frequency structural an external parasite line which will induce an EM radiation around the MEMS component; In order to analyze the EM test immunity of the MEMS we simulator) based on finite element method for simulation. For the different substrates, a comparative study of the electric and magnetic fields is exposed and discussed. We have investigated also on the surface current densities on the RF line.
