In this work, we have designed a low profile, high gain, broadband four elements printed log periodic dipole array (PLPDA) working over the range of (24-39) Ghz. In the first part of the design, a PLPDA is designed, which achieved around 10.5 dB gain, 49.6% impedance bandwidth. Later some horn corrugation is cascaded to the PLPDA which enhanced the overall gain up to 13 dB, while 52% impedance bandwidth is obtained. All results are validated using two different numerical packages.","PeriodicalId":128207,"journal":{"name":"2018 18th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics (ANTEM)","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115722205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To enable this planar system to utilize a more complete set of magnetic field data, we present a method that can invert multiple planes of magnetic data collected by rotating the antenna under test. The flat gain of 30 dB ±0.5 dB is achieved using a three-stage amplifier topology over 412 GHz. The minimum noise figure of 1.0 dB is achieved in a packaging chassis within the frequency band. In order to achieve such a low noise over a wideband, several bandwidth enhancement techniques are applied in the design. An inductive feedback at the source of the first stage results in a very wideband input matching ($vert S _{mathbf {11}}vert < -12$ dB) over 3–15 GHz. The gold wire bonds at the input and output of the chip are separately analyzed and modeled into matching networks to ensure wideband low noise behavior of the chip after packaging. This GaAs pHEMT LNA is suitable for radio astronomy receivers such as the Atacama Large Millimeter Array Band 3 IF warm amplifiers.","PeriodicalId":128207,"journal":{"name":"2018 18th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics (ANTEM)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134428444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One related direction of research is the X-ray sterilization of blood that is stored for future use. Currently, the tags used to indicate the irradiation level of the blood rely on visual indicators rather than an automated method. As a result, the irradiation levels of the blood cannot be ascertained. This paper proposes a new wireless dosimeter tag to measure the radiation levels with sufficient precision so as to avoid any material wastage and costs. The tag relies on an RF tag which consists of a CMOS transmitter, energy harvesting component and an off-chip inkjet printed antenna. In this paper, using 0.13 μm CMOS technology a floating gate MOSFET dosimeter design and an off-chip inkjet printed antenna are presented. These two components are the basic building blocks of the complete wireless dosimeter system. The floating gate MOSFET design is studied for its pre and post-radiation performance. The measured results show how the difference in the device current can be used for the radiation dose measurements. For the antenna, a printed antenna with suitable shielding is employed to enhance its radiation performance in the dissipative blood environment. The measured radiation pattern shows adequate gain and back-lobe radiation characteristics, thus making the surroundings invisible to the antenna and best suited for the intended application.","PeriodicalId":128207,"journal":{"name":"2018 18th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics (ANTEM)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131507059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was initially used to model high frequency surface wave radar scattering from a rough ocean surface or across layers of ice covering the ocean. This paper extends the existing theory by assuming an arbitrary dielectric constant for a simple rough surface and by suggesting an approach to model the backscatter from a stratified medium that has a rough surface. When an arbitrary dielectric constant is used for the rough surface, the shape of the scattered field remains the same, but is weaker due to the transmission of energy through the surface. Scatter from rough surfaces and stratified media both can be expressed as the sum of a direct and reflected wave. This form is exploited to understand the scatter from a rough surface over layered media.","PeriodicalId":128207,"journal":{"name":"2018 18th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics (ANTEM)","volume":"132 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114749551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
