The study used 100 female Ketarras chickens aged 20 weeks; divided into 2 groups of maintenance systems, namely 50 in the battery cage and 50 in the umbaran rearing. The research was conducted at the Commercial Zone and Animal Laboratory (CZAL) Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu. Variables of production performance include: feed consumption, egg weight, percentage of egg production, egg mass production and feed conversion, while egg quality variables include: sample egg weight, egg index, yolk color, yolk weight, albumen weight, egg shell weight and shell thickness egg. Sampling for observation of egg quality was 100 eggs in each rearing system. Production performance data is discussed descriptively, while egg quality data is analyzed using the t test. The results of the evaluation of production performance showed that feed consumption and feed conversion in battery cages were lower with egg weight, egg production percentage and egg mass production being higher than in umbaran rearing system. The results of the t test showed that the rearing system had no significant effect (t count<t table) on all egg quality variables. The locations of the muscles observed were the Longissimus dorsi (LD), Pectoralis superficialis (PS), Semitendinosus (ST) and Triceps Brachii (TB) muscles. Cattle aged 1-1.5 years and 3.5-4 years with moderate body condition, 250 g of each sample was taken for every 6 Bali cattle. This study used a 4x2x3 factorial design with a total of 24 experimental units, in a randomized block design (RBD), factor A was muscle type (A1 (LD), A2 (PS), A3 (ST), and A4 (TB)). Factor B is age (B1 aged 1-1.5 years and B2 aged 3.5-4 years). The treatment showed a significant effect, so further tests were carried out using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) and how to analyze the data using SPSS. The variables measured were pH, cooking losses and water holding capacity. The research data was processed using analysis of variation (ANOVA). The results of this study concluded that there was no interaction between the type of muscle and the age of the cattle in the meat quality test on pH, cooking loss and water holding capacity of Bali beef. Muscle type has no effect on pH, cooking loss and water holding capacity of Bali beef. Prioritizing the development of local livestock such as native chickens as producers of food products of animal origin, able to answer challenges in the world of animal husbandry as it is today. This study aims to: (1) conduct an analysis of the factors that influence the development of free-range chicken in the city of Padang, (2) provide an alternative strategy based on the potential of the city of Padang for a better free-range chicken development effort. This research was conducted by conducting surveys and direct observations at the research site. The research was carried out in three stages: 1) Identifying and analyzing external factors from the free-range chicken development effort, 2) Identifying and analyzing the internal factors of the free-range chicken development business, and 3) Creating alternative strategies for the development of free-range chicken livestock in the city of Padang. Respondents in the study were Farmer Groups who received assistance from the Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit (UPPO) program in 2017, namely the Kelompok Tani Hulu Gawan, Kandih Maju Bersama, dan Kelompok Tani Sawah Rambahan. The method that we used in this study is a survey method. The observed variables are inputs and outputs of implementation of the UPPO program. The results of this study indicate that the inputs for the UPPO program assistance carried out by the research farmer groups are match accordance with the technical instructions for processing organic fertilizers. The livestock breeds used were Simmenal Cattle, Ongole Crossbreed, Limousin and Coastal Cattle. The feed given to livestock is field grass and beef, livestock rearing is carried out intensively, disease prevention that has been carried out is cage sanitation and treatment of intestinal worms by giving Albendazole bolus drug and in kelompok tani Hulu Gawan, injured cattle are given Gusanex Antiseptic spray. For the cattle marketing is generally through intermediary trading.\u0000The production of organic fertilizer for the Kelompok Tani Hulu Gawan is 2.1 tons/month with 9 livestock, Kandih Maju Bersama 1.4 tons/month with 5 livestock and Sawah Rambahan 1.7 tons/month with 7 livestock. Birth rate of cattle in the Kelompok Tani Hulu Gawan in the number of children born was 2, Kandih Maju Bersama and Sawah Rambahan was 1 cattle. None of the cattle of the Kandih Maju Bersama and Sawah Rambahan farmer groups died, while the Kelompok Tani Hulu Gawan had 1 death. A total of 25 samples of Boerka goats, namely 10 male Boerka goats and 15 female Boerka goats were used to identify qualitative and qualitative traits at the age levels of 0-6 months, >6-12 months, and >12 months. The morphometric parameters observed consisted of qualitative characteristics, namely the diversity of coat colors, the diversity of horn shapes, the diversity of the color of the legs and the diversity of the front lines. While quantitative traits consist of body weight, height, body length, and chest circumference. The results of qualitative research found that Boerka goats had a dominant diversity of brown white fur color, short and small horns, black and white leg color, and a convex head shape. This study used 100 Isa Brown strain laying hens. The cages used were 20 box cages of 60x50x50 cm size. The research method used is a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments (T1: 0%, T2: 0,5%, T3: 1%, T4: 1,5% and T5: 2%) of sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) leaf extract and each treatment was repeated 4 times. The result of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment of sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) leaf extract had no significant effect (P>0,05) on AI and ND antibody titers at 3, 4 and 5 weeks of age, but has a significant effect (P<0,05) on AI and ND antibody titers at 6 weeks of age. In conclusion, the administrasion of sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) leaf extract in drinking water was able to accelerate the formation AI and ND antibody titers and was able to maintain higher antibody compared to the control treatment. The study used the in vitro method for testing, while the leaf extract was obtained using the immersion method. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with a one-way pattern (One Way ANNOVA) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The test uses fresh beef samples that have been rotten for 6 days at room temperature. The fresh weight of each meat sample was 100 grams. The treatments were P0 (control: only water), P1 (100% tobacco), P2 (100% green binahong), P3 (50% tobacco: 50% green binahong), P4 (70% tobacco: 30 green binahong) and P5 (30% tobacco: 70% green binahong). The results observed in the study included the time (seconds) required for larvae to come out of the meat after spraying on each treatment, the death of myiasis larvae at 5, 10, 15, and 25 minutes. This study used 100 DOC without male and female separation. The cages used were box cages measuring 75x60x50 cm per unit of 20 units and each unit consisting of 5 chickens. This research method is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), with 5 ration treatments and 4 replications. The treatment rations were A (100% Commercial / Control Ration), B (75% Commercial Ration + 25% Local Ration) C (50% Commercial Ration + 50% Local Ration), D (25 % Commercial Ration + 75% Local Ration) and E (100% Local Basal Ration). Parameters measured were ration consumption (g/head/week), body weight gain (g/head/week) and broiler ration conversion. The results of the analysis of diversity showed that the provision of rations based on local raw materials as a substitute for commercial rations had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on ration consumption, body weight gain and broiler ration conversion. The results of the DMRT test showed that the provision of rations based on local raw materials as a substitute for commercial rations on ration consumption, body weight gain and ration conversion in treatments B, C and D were not significantly different from treatment A, but significantly higher than treatment E.
