There are huge amounts of work being done in defining the term ‘rights’. ‘Rights’ is defined by most human rights scholars in a four-separate perspective, as a claim, immunity, a freedom and a power. These concrete meaning of ‘rights’ might be revealed from Hohfeld’s idea of ‘rights’ that may be used in a rigid sense of the right-holder’s claim to something with a correlative duty. The emergence of a new consciousness of the patterns of discrimination against women and a rise in the number of organizations committed to combating the effect of such discrimination in 1960s, called the Government of Malaysia to show its support not only by setting up organisations, but also by allocating funds. However, there are critiques that justice for women is impossible to be upheld in Malaysia because the Government reserves few articles of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women due to its inconsistencies with Shariah. Therefore, it is critical to comprehend the Islamic ideals of human rights concept and principles and value the progress of women’s rights in Malaysia.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43297542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The primary goal of this research is to highlight the idea of Al-Johori education as found in two of his works, Kitab Adab Perempuan Juzuk Yang Pertama and Kitab Adab Perempuan Juzuk Yang Kedua. This study also aims to demonstrate the importance of Al-Johori’s ideas on women’s education when the issue has been accepted by the community through teaching for female students in Johor religious schools from the 1920s to the 1930s. In this study, archival research methods were used to analyse each discussion, as well as Al-Johori’s work as the primary reference. The Johor Branch of the National Archives of Malaysia houses files from the Islamic Religious Department, the Johor State Secretary’s Office, and selected Kadi’s Offices. In each issue discussed, the primary documents were compiled, processed, analysed, and presented as evidence of argument. Simultaneously, this study considers the use of secondary sources such as theses, books, and journals for the chronological arrangement of discussions. Finally, this study concluded that Al-Johori’s work is significant when used as an educational idea for women in order to produce a society that is strengthened with knowledge.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41720238","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study uses qualitative analysis through text analysis approach. Data for this study is focused on cultural values where it is obtained through reading, recording and scoring techniques. Data validity was obtained through an appointed intrarater. The results reveal that there are few cultural values conveyed by Goethe in this poem which resonates with 7 cultural elements proposed by Edmund Anderson (1996). Among the elements that were discovered in the poem are values on religion and belief, confidence, value of human practice and the knowledge system is also found in the Malay culture, including the development of human knowledge and community practices. There is no doubt that this poem also contains artistic value that is so subtle and distinctive.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41684995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, the government cannot afford to spend on big investment projects for ASD’s patients due to budget limits. In addition, worldwide economic recovery is slowing down and the increasing cost of living also worsening the condition. Despite that, basic wellbeing needs should maintain a right direction growth similar the demographic growth to satisfy the ASD population’s demand. The insufficiency of fit resources brings a gap to this balancing rule by leaving the way to imbalance within the society which can put the stability of states in danger of loss, harm, or failure. Therefore, all sectors can play an important role by collaborating with the government to create partnerships in searching for enough sources. This research intended to identify the level and relationship of teachers’ financial well-being and job satisfaction in the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE). The study sample included teachers in a district in the State of Perlis. This investigation employed a financial well-being questionnaire established by the Division of Psychology and Counseling with researchers (2018) and a job satisfaction questionnaire utilising the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) introduced by Weiss, Dewis, England & Lofquit, 1967. Financial well-being instruments had an Alpha Cronbach reliability of .89, while the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire Instrument (MSQ) had an Alpha Cronbach reliability of .90. The study outcomes confirmed that teachers obtained a high percentage of the level of the financial well-being of 49.5%, followed by a moderate level of 42.7% and a low level of 7.8%. As for job satisfaction, the data summarised that the teachers obtained a moderate percentage of 52.4%, followed by a low level of 32% and a high level of 15.5%. Ergo, the study’s data discovered a notable relationship between financial well-being and job satisfaction among teachers. The researcher recommended that the scope of the study sample be expanded so that it becomes more comprehensive to represent teachers throughout Malaysia. Moreover, the results could aid interventions in further enhancing teachers’ financial well-being and job satisfaction, such as formulating modules, psycho-education, and guidance. Furthermore, the research analysis could also be expanded by examining differences in variables based on study demographics, such as variations in teachers’ financial well-being based on service and grade tenure and differences in teachers’ job satisfaction based on work experience and age.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49611996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aims to outline how urban youth construct their fear of poverty and how this issue is affecting their identity formation. The research was conducted using both the quantitative and qualitative designs. 720 respondents were involved in the survey. 30 of these respondents were chosen to be involved in three Focus Group Discussion sessions. This study demonstrated that youth’s idea of fear is based on real situations and the ‘possible fear’ is to avoid this threat in the first place. The results identified that economic situation is the main contributing factor for one to be in poverty followed by the lack of education, lack of governmental support and lack of societal support. Finally, this study shows that by identifying this fear, it is hoped that the youths will have stronger confidence in their identity and self in relation to the current world context.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47127932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The variables of the study were integrated of different orders as indicated by Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) unit root test. Bounds cointegration test revealed that there is a cointegrated long-run relationship between the study variables. The study results showed that there is a statistically significant positive long-run relationship between real GDP and each of broad money supply and total government expenditures. Moreover, the long-run coefficient of money supply was much greater than that of government expenditures, implying that the effectiveness of monetary policy is higher than that of fiscal policy in affecting the economic performance, and both policies can be implemented to stimulate the economic growth in Jordan. Therefore, the study recommends the Jordanian government to improve the management of fiscal policy by controlling its current expenditures, increasing the productive investments, as well as applying a comprehensive tax reform in order to strengthen the role of fiscal policy in boosting the economic growth.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42830282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Collocation is regarded as one of the crucial parts in translating metaphorical connotations as it captures the meaning that transcends its literal translation and it cannot be quoted literally otherwise it will spoil the intended meaning. This study aims to highlight the importance of collocation in achieving an exact translation especially in translating the Arabic metaphorical connotations into the Malay language based on semantic equivalence between the source and target text to the closest possible to the meaning of the original Arabic text. This study employs descriptive and analytical methods. Based on the examples, the study concludes the need of taking into account the role of collocation in the translation of the Arabic metaphorical connotation to the Malay language in order to achieve the precise translation as well as to determine the semantic equivalence. Therefore, this research suggests that the translator should choose the correct combination of words in the target language so that he does not come out with a correlation that is incompatible with the nature of the target language.","PeriodicalId":12715,"journal":{"name":"global journal al thaqafah","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72948868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
