With proper management, BR should create a synergistic effect between humans and nature in order to foster the so-called sustainable economic and social development at BR territories. Approaches to BR management therefore vary (especially in the way communities and stakeholders are involved) and sometimes even differ within BR of a single country. In the introduction, the paper deals with the theoretical definition of social entrepreneurship, its conditions in the Slovak Republic, characteristics of educational work in kindergartens and the perception of gifted children and work with them in the international context. In a separate chapter, the paper describes the methodology, the data collection procedure, sources and methods used. In the last chapter, it presents and describes the results of the analysis of the level of parental awareness and demand for a preschool with a special focus on artistically gifted children, the appropriateness of its introduction to the market, and indicates the limits. The paper serves to clarify and support the solution of the problem of education and training of above-average gifted children, which is not given enough attention in our country, through social entrepreneurship, where social work and its individual components are almost indispensable.","PeriodicalId":126962,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika a spoločnosť","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129417965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Technostress is a growing phenomenon resulting from the widespread use of ICT technologies in modern society. The aim of this paper is to propose and characterize strategies to reduce technostress and the digital divide that would help the inclusion and retention of older workers in both private and public organizations. This paper is based on the Arksey and O’Malley framework for scoping reviews. The results of the research conducted show that one of the most effective strategies to mitigate the effects of these phenomena is social dialogue between employers and employees, which can be a source of innovative and creative solutions. As part of the answer to the research question, we found that the social dialogue about solving the impact of technostress should include the active involvement of older adults, which would reflect their current needs.","PeriodicalId":126962,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika a spoločnosť","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131345545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the fact that reminders are sent to taxpayers, informing that in case of non-payment they will be referred for execution, there are still those who do not pay. Several studies have shown that behavioural interventions can be a tool to reduce the proportion of non-payers, i.e. taxpayers can be “nudged” to pay taxes on time. In this article, we present the results of behavioural intervention in the city of Banská Bystrica. The goal was to increase the city’s revenue from the waste disposal fee, dog fee and real estate tax through proactive communication – reminders and leaflets with targeted framing. As part of the intervention, the city sent 520 reminders, divided into 4 groups of 130 tax subjects. The intervention did not bring the expected results as it was in other Slovak municipalities. Based on this fact we deduce possible factors why this intervention was not so successful.","PeriodicalId":126962,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika a spoločnosť","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128843006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We collaborated with the town of Hlohovec, Slovak Republic. We used behavioural interventions to increase the number of both projects submitted and voter participation. A database of existing interventions and an overview of suitable interventions were prepared. We used a design specifically developed for the town of Hlohovec. Our intervention was focused on flyer design and aimed at all citizens. We modified flyers using the knowledge of behavioural science. Two redesigned flyers were created and two different slogans are used for each redesigned flyer. The intervention we implemented in the town of Hlohovec appears to have been highly effective in increasing the number of voters. However, a big challenge for the future is to find a way how to filter effects of support activities to increase citizen involvement prepared by the town. The behavioural intervention we developed can be used in any other municipality in which there would be an effort to solve the lack of interest in participatory budgeting.","PeriodicalId":126962,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika a spoločnosť","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130853630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the measures taken by the government, business entities were forced to limit, and some even to stop, their business activities. However, the Government of the Slovak Republic adopted various packages of measures to prevent economic collapse, which could be used by entities. This issue will be the subject of research in this article, where we will focus on the effectiveness of the measures taken through the gross domestic product. We will carry out our research using secondary data, namely a study published by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. We believe that the results of this research will contribute to other crisis situations that the Slovak Republic will face in the near future, such as the energy crisis, which will also affect the functioning of business entities.","PeriodicalId":126962,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika a spoločnosť","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116031648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the study is to map, using the case study method, the problem of vertical fiscal imbalance in the performance of delegated responsibilities at the level of local self-government in the Slovak Republic. Research ousomes show that municipalities overwhelmingly do not know the costs of performing delegated responsibilities (cost-center accouting is notu sed) , and thus we cannot legitimately determine vertical fiscsal imbalance scope. Identifying the sope of vertical fiscal imbalance througth the cost-center accouting is the starting point for its solution by the functionalisation of inter-level financial relations so that the revenues of public administration units at its different levels correspond to the expenditures associated with the performance of the delgated responsibilities.","PeriodicalId":126962,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika a spoločnosť","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127690125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
