This fading causes deep fade on signal spectrum at one particular frequency. To overcome this problem, many researchers proposed a multi-carrier technique, which divides wideband signal bandwidth into multiple narrowband signal before transmitted using certain number of subcarriers. By using this technique, the depth fade can be localized, hence only one subcarrier will be affected such that the number of error bit can be minimize. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a form of multi-carrier technique which uses bandwidth effectively. This OFDM system can be implemented on Wireless Open-Access Research Platform (WARP) that is one of the Software Defined Radio (SDR). By implementing OFDM on WARP module, the bit error rate (BER) system performance can be analysis in the real channel. The implementation of OFDM technique on WARP modul is based on IEEE 802.11 standard. If the range between transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) short enough (less than 10 m), the distance variation didn't affect the BER performance significantly. Whereas, if there is an obstacle between transmitter and receiver, the BER will increase significantly compared no obstacle (dear condition) for short range Tx-Rx distance. For example, BER is 0 in clear condition when the transmit power is -26.125 dBm, meanwhile the BER value is 9.3 × 10-6 in obstacle condition and for short range distance, the objects near propagation path provide reflected signal power with significant contribution.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123080427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Memory based CF measure distance/similarity between users by calculating their rating to several items. In the next step system will predict user rating with specific algorithm e.g. Weight Sum. One similarity measurement that often used is Pearson correlation. Since CF used many (almost all) users and items, Pearson correlation suffer on time and space complexity. To overcome this problem, CF that used Pearson correlation often selects some user to be used as neighbor. The mechanism itself, never mention clearly. In this paper, we introduce Naïve Random Neighbor Selection mechanism. Our research show that best performance achieve at parameter combination of Pearson Correlation Threshold = 0.1 and Number of Neighbor = 21 that shows MAE = 0.791 that placed on the third position among other algorithm.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134455107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wikipedia as an online encyclopedia provides many resources, data, and information on the internet. Main problem in our research is how to represent information from Indonesian Wikipedia article into some knowledge representation such as ontology. Ontology is a set of related concept and relation between those concepts. Ontology usually has a large and complex structure because ontology is made to cover a large area topic. Our approach in this ontology building is focused on hyponymy relation and meronymy relation. Our proposed method is using taxonomy template information in Wikipedia to extract hyponymy relation and some pattern to extract the meronymy relation. Our experiment shows that hyponymy relation can be extracted into 5038 relations. For our meronymy relation extraction process has 82.23% as the highest accuracy.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131196371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cognitive radio users can utilize the frequency spectrum that is not being used (white space) by detect the frequency spectrum. Spectrum sensing is done periodically to ensure there is no interference, in that sense spectrum sensing activity in cognitive radio will increase energy consumption. Therefore, energy efficiency is very important to consider in cognitive radio technology. This research is study on energy efficiency in cognitive radio with cooperative MME (Maximum to Minimum Eigenvalue) spectrum sensing method. Energy efficiency is implemented by finding the optimal values of probability of a user wait or switch/handoff to another channel while the primary user is using the current channel. Cooperative MME spectrum sensing detection process which is not depend on the uncertainty of noise shows better performance than the energy detection method.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130751100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, DFIG wind turbine has a variable-frequency AC / DC / AC converter (VFC) and IGBT switches that very sensitive to overcurrent which occur during transient disturbance. To protect the DFIG rotor circuit from excessive current, the rotor side converter will be blocked when VFC trip, so the DFIG detached from power system. Release of DFIG during disturbances can cause the production of electricity will be disrupted. By applying the proper control design, the quality of electricity supply during a disturbance can be corrected. In this research, the optimal design of PI controller in the rotor side converter (RSC) with DFIG wind turbine using the Differential Evolutionary Algorithm (DE) is proposed to improve the DFIG performance during disturbance. The simulation results indicate that the application of optimal design of PI controller on DFIG using DE can improve the performance of DFIG during disturbances. It shown by the significantly reducing of overshoot rotor current and voltage DC-link of DFIG with the optimized design when compared with the initial controller design system.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125149754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quadrotor is a nonlinear system with multiple input multiple output and has stability issue due to external disturbance. These characteristics lead to difficulty in cruise control of quadrotor automatically. Decoupling method is used to eliminate the interaction of other control on rotational motion, then the roll, pitch, and yaw angle can be controlled independently. Nonlinear PD controller is obtained from invers model of control signal on a quadrotor and it is used to control the translational motion in x and y axis with nonlinear dynamics because of the influence the rotational angle. Simulation results show that the proposed method can eliminate the control interaction of roll, pitch and yaw angle, hence it works like single input single output system and translational motion on x and y axis can achieve the expected trajectory precisely.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126313379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
