For this end, the exponential part of the classical potential vector is expanded onto spherical Hankel and Bessel functions by taking advantage of the isotropic field emission of the source. The usage of high harmonics in the calculations is the key point in this work. In order to observe anomalous field, up to 25 harmonics in all electrodynamics relations were added. We restring ourselves to those base stations antennas located on buildings whose height are ranging between 5 and 10 m. In this study is encountered that the proposed formulation yields a negligible deviation from standard values of exposure levels, through the measurement of specific absorption radiation (SAR) thereby discarding possibilities of contamination by radiation around the emission source. The present model yields a difference of 2.5% with respect to previous works, fact which is traduced in SAR values of around 24μWKg-1 for a 2GHz and 1 Vm-1 source, contemplating an error of order of 0.5%.","PeriodicalId":123628,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE ANDESCON","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126818355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extracted features correspond to real and virtual corners of the scanned scene. The method is based on the Hough Transform (HT) for line extraction, where the intersecting points of these lines are considered as features. This work highlights the use of the HT outside of image applications, and presents a new filtering algorithm that reduces false positive in line detection by the HT based method. The developed method was tested under various simulated benchmarks in order to compare the performance as a function of correctness, uncertainty, execution time and other parameters. Also, a real data benchmark was included in the tests. Finally, a simulation of EKF-SLAM was performed to demonstrate the functionality of the developed method in more complex tasks.","PeriodicalId":123628,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE ANDESCON","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129487099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, it is a fundamental step and indispensable procedure for a number of image processing approaches. Especially in magnetic resonance images (MRI) due to the Rician presented in these, where the level of noise must be evaluated. In this paper a new method to estimate the noise level in MR images T1-w is proposed and compared with a known level of the ration of signal and noise presented. The advantage of this is its easiness for utilization during image acquisition and of course the adaptability of the idea of other areas of body. The correctness of the evaluation is addressed by comparison of Atlas noise free images where the level of Rician noise was artificially added and known. The main idea is the matching of same slices after registration in order to evaluate the level of noise. For evaluation of the range of noise in an image we used the signal noise ratio - SNR and a set of MRI with increasing levels of Rician noise. However, others metrics like the normalized cross correlation - NCC or the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) could be used as well.","PeriodicalId":123628,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE ANDESCON","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128548736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Controllers based on Synchronous Finite State Machines (SFSM) are components widely used in complex digital systems. These systems can present critical requirements, such as power consumption, robustness, performance, etc. In this context, the asynchronous paradigm shows interesting features that fit as an alternative for the design, but the lack of appropriate tools and the high difficulty of the design are already drawbacks. This paper proposes a new architecture, based in transparent latches, for implementing asynchronous FSMs with local clock. The existence of a local clock reduces the requirements of asynchronous logic. The asynchronous FSMs with local clock, implemented in the new architecture, are synthesized by SICARELO method. This method parts from a popular specification known as extended burst-mode (XBM) and uses the techniques of the synchronous paradigm to accomplish the synthesis. The new architecture was tested in a set of well-known benchmarks and compared with the AFSMs implemented through the standard architecture gRS, synthesized by the Miriã tool. Compared to Miriã tool, SICARELO tool achieved an average reduction of 12% in the number of state variables, 4% in the combinatorial logic of products and 15% in literals, although presenting a penalty of 79% on the number of latches. These results lead to a high potential of practical implementation of this method in actual applications.","PeriodicalId":123628,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE ANDESCON","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122679210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we describe the design, realization and characterization phase lock loop (PLL)-based, X-band microwave generators, which are fundamental elements in any high frequency electronic system operating in this band. In this paper we describe an X-band (7.2 GHz) generator, which has been designed, realized and characterized in our laboratory using commercial microwave integrated circuits (MMIC's). The realized X-band generators have been characterized on their parameters of signal purity, phase noise and frequency stability. The resulting performances are comparable to those shown by similar commercial generators.","PeriodicalId":123628,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE ANDESCON","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129947923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
