Many variables contribute to students' inability to answer mathematical questions, one of which is a lack of confidence in their abilities. The purpose of this study is to describe how well-equipped pupils are to deal with arithmetic challenges associated with absolute value equations. Study participants were selected from each level after each level's self-efficacy was assessed using questionnaires. The tools used in data collection procedures, which are training tactics, include short interviews, self-efficacy questionnaires, and assessments of one's ability for solving mathematical problems. The data processing and analysis process have three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-making. The research subjects were three students from each of the three self-efficacy levels—very high, high, and medium—and their propensities for resolving mathematical puzzles were then evaluated. Students with a very high level of self-efficacy perform mathematical problem-solving tasks more effectively than students with high and medium levels of self-efficacy.","PeriodicalId":123617,"journal":{"name":"Daya Matematis: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122655381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The procession of determining the children of ‘matamusan’ contains ethnomathematical values not realized by the cultural legatees. This research aims to explore the ethnomathematical elements in ‘matamusan’ culture. In addition, this research can be beneficial at developing context-based mathematical learning materials and a reference in developing the operational curriculum of the education units in the autonomous learning curriculum, particularly in elementary schools. This research employs a qualitative-exploratory method using an ethnographic approach, while observation and interviews are used as techniques to collect data. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research show that there are six mathematical concepts in the cultural procession of determining ‘matamusan’ children: (1) the concepts of one-dimensional geometry, namely a line consisting of horizontal lines, parallel lines, and acute angles, and two-dimensional geometry, namely rectangles and rhombus. (2) the concept of counting; 3) the concept of the median; 4) the concept of the unit of time; 5) the concept of the unit of weight and; 6) the concept of currency, which can be used to develop teaching materials on mathematical content, especially in elementary schools whose implementation is in the form of context-based mathematical problems..","PeriodicalId":123617,"journal":{"name":"Daya Matematis: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122313293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, error analysis, especially on the topic of Diophantine equations and Chinese remainder theorem. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 46 students of mathematics education at Sanata Dharma University. The data collection technique used a test. The data were analyzed to determine errors in doing number theory problems using the type of error according to Newman. According to Newman, five types of errors are reading, comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding errors. The conclusion of this study showed that the most errors made were related to process skill errors and transformation errors, while only a few experienced comprehension and encoding errors. None of the students made reading error.This shows that students already understand the meaning of the problem, but when changing and looking for solutions to problems an error occurs. The factors that may cause this error are a lack of understanding of the concept of the Diophantine equations and Chinese remainder theorem, as well as a lack of problem practice.","PeriodicalId":123617,"journal":{"name":"Daya Matematis: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115738169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The orthogonal properties of DSTQFT are obtained by combining the orthogonal properties of DSTFT and the Fourier quaternion transform (QFT). Based on the results of the study, it was found that the orthogonal nature of the Directional Short-Time quaternion Fourier Transform (DSTQFT) is different from the orthogonal nature of the Directional Short-Time Fourier Transform (DSTFT). The learning process must be able to increase the independence and creativity of students so that their skills are more focused and produce output that is ready to face challenges in the 21st century. One of the alternative 21st-century learning methods that is appropriate to use is the blended learning method . The implementation of the blended learning method will work effectively if it is equipped with teaching materials such as textbooks and LKM as reference materials for students in learning. Therefore, in this study developed STAD type cooperative teaching materials with the blended learning method . The method used in this research is Nieveen's (1999) development method which includes the initial investigation stage, the prototype stage, and the assessment stage. Financial series data mostly have a heavy tail distribution which causes the probability of extreme values to occur. To overcome these extreme values, it is necessary to apply a mathematical model in calculating risk estimates in financial data combined with the Extreme Value Theory approach. The Adjusted-TVaR model is a measure of the risk of modification of the TVaR model to eliminate outliers in the tail of the distribution. The purpose of this study is to measure the accuracy of the Value at Risk, Tail Value at Risk, and Adjusted Tail Value at Risk using the Peak Over Thresholdapproach in Extreme Value Theory Models.The results of the risk estimation research using the POT approach method, show that the higher the level of confidence and the chosen constant, the higher the value of Adj-TVaR presented. This value represents that the potential loss will be higher. The estimation results obtained that the VaR value is smaller than Adj-TVaR and Adj-TVaR is smaller than TVaR. This shows that Adj-TVaR is more efficient to use in terms of predicting risk value when compared to TVaR with the Peak Over Threshold approach","PeriodicalId":123617,"journal":{"name":"Daya Matematis: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127945559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
