Optimizing the learning process in the new normal era will be effective by applying blended learning. One of the learning models that can support students is blended learning with discovery learning models. Through the discovery blended learning (DBL) model, students become more active in the learning process. This model can increase students' self-efficacy and collaboration with peers in the class because students feel confident and can solve a problem. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of blended learning with discovery learning models on self-efficacy and learning outcomes in Biology subject during the new normal era. This research is a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control of pretest-posttest group design. Data analysis was carried out by using the N-gain test and independent t-test. The results indicate that there is a significant difference in effectiveness in the class using DBL on student learning outcomes and self-efficacy with the control class using the conventional model. In DBL syntax, students' ability in formulating problems and finding concepts independently, and presenting results can help students improve learning outcomes and self-efficacy. The DBL model can be used as an alternative model to support students learning Biology at the high school level (SMA/MA) in Indonesia so that students are more active in discussions to solve problems related to the subject matter. This model is also expected to guide students to find concepts independently so that students become more confident and believe in their abilities, especially in the new normal era.","PeriodicalId":123598,"journal":{"name":"Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124112082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The MB-KM program provides opportunities for students to master various fields of science, develop creativity, capacity and other competencies related to the needs of the world of work. The results of the needs analysis show that there are still four competencies that have not been maximally mastered by students, namely: school management competencies, analytical thinking, technological novelty and science behavior with an average of 51.75%, while the other three competencies: pedagogical competence, high school chemistry science, and DIGITAL LEARNING IT competence have been very good with an average of 80.20%. Against the background, this was conducted research on the Development of Rational-Creative Performance Technology Training Model for Chemistry Education Students. This research is educational development research (Borg & Gall: 2007). The characteristic of this training model is in the form of Merdeka Learning Teacher Mover for school education. The MODEL ID used to design this training model is adapting the modified ASSURE model, while the Rational-Creative Performance Technology Training Model was developed by Zurweni & Affan Malik (2020). The results showed that the Rational-Creative Performance Technology Training Model has four synths: Innovation Intervention Orientation, Rational Exploration, Rational Technology Training and Evaluation. Evaluation and validation results and trials state that the Rational-Creative Performance Technology Training Model falls into the category of good, with field trials have not been successfully implemented due to the covid-19 pandemic. It was concluded that this Rational-Creative Performance Technology Training Model is worth using and is a new breakthrough as an alternative to enrichment in the debriefing of students who follow the PLP Program to partner schools. It is recommended to use this training model at the level of the Study Program as well as at the student debriefing enrichment session before following the introduction of the school field.","PeriodicalId":123598,"journal":{"name":"Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124845811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, the current study adds to the body of literature that explores the growth of students' quantitative reasoning through teaching models. This study uses measuring tools such as a quantitative reasoning test and an observation sheet. The randomized pre-test–post-test control group design has been used in this investigation. The study included 95 second-year middle school students from Pangkep, Makassar, South Sulawesi, who were split into two groups: experimental and control. The N-gain index, which has high, medium, and low categories, was used to calculate the improvement of students' quantitative reasoning exam results. The finding of the data, 86.0 % of students in the experimental class increased their quantitative reasoning exam scores in the high category, while only 46.6% of students in the control class improved their quantitative reasoning exam scores. Students' quantitative reasoning improves substantially more when they utilize the problem-based learning models to learn about the linear program than when they use direct learning. As a result, students' quantitative reasoning can be improved by using problem-based learning models.","PeriodicalId":123598,"journal":{"name":"Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131999834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This phenomenon is an unpleasant sensation that interferes with someone's ability to communicate well with mathematics. Although several studies have investigated the relationship between mathematics anxiety and mathematics proficiency, none have explored the effect of mathematics anxiety on individual students' mathematics scores, particularly in biology education students. A correlational analysis was performed with quantitative research methods to explore the association between mathematics scores and mathematics anxiety. 68 participants were recruited for the study, using non-probability sampling, voluntarily and purposively. A student's mathematics anxiety was assessed using a mathematical anxiety scale. The data were analyzed by correlation and regression analysis to determine whether mathematics anxiety was associated with student success. The mathematical model is the best approximation of the relationship between variables described by the equation (3.6 + 0.0 A1 - 0.5 A2 - 1.6 A3 - 2.3 A4 - 2.9 A5). The results suggest that poor mathematics skills increase with levels of anxiety. Students with the least amount of anxiety are predicted to get passing grades of A and B, whereas those with more anxiety are likely to get lower grades of D and E.","PeriodicalId":123598,"journal":{"name":"Formatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan MIPA","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122694598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
