Akhmetshin","doi":"10.31044/1684-2499-2022-0-3-36-44","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31044/1684-2499-2022-0-3-36-44","url":null,"abstract":"In order to meet the customer requirements, criteria for sufficient stability of the production process of P4 crankshaft forgings with untreated counterweights for controllling unbalance dispersion values depending on the key parameters of a forging (KPF) and the hot die forging (HBI) process have been established. A method for predicting the stability of the hot forging process of P4 crankshaft forgings with untreated counterweights using a non-linear model describing the key characteristic of the forging («crookedness») was developed. The control method of the unbalance dispersion of the forging depending on its KPF was tested at the forging shop. The general method of plastic flow proposed by A. L. Vorontsov was used. The obtained formulae allow one to determine the deformed state of a billet in any point of the given area. The influence of technological parameters on the force parameters and the filling of a die cavity was investigated. The stress-strain state and temperature fields of the forged-piece, the optimal shape and dimensions of the initial workpiece providing minimal technological efforts, forging steps, optimal conditions for filling the die cavity and conditions for cooling the forged-piece were determined. For it an induction plant was used which consists of two FS-series induction-arc furnaces. Problems of furnace charge preparation were considered: the fractional composition, oxidation, content of harmful impurities and a charging way. It made possible to ensure pot resistance and to decrease the melting period. The determination of flow velocities and stresses in the area of plastic deformation, located under the punch end near the formed thick wall of the bracket has been carried out.
