In addition to the accepted analysis results the parameters of the sample span, the single continuous length of the second phase, the analysis of changing in the sequential volume of the second phase are proposed. A method for visualizing the results in the form of polar diagrams was developed and presented. As an example, the studies were carried out on carbon steel 40 micro-grinders without etching. Defect-free samples and samples with dot and line inclusions were considered. Zorin","doi":"10.31044/1684-2499-2023-0-3-17-24","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31044/1684-2499-2023-0-3-17-24","url":null,"abstract":"The results of tests to determine the impact strength of carbon fiber reinforced plastics based on an epoxy matrix and components that form an independent liquid phase in the composite structure (anaerobic polymer material (Loctite 638), silicone elastomer (Unisil-9628), synthetic wax) are presented. The tests were carried out after holding the samples at temperatures of 20±2 °C, –30 °C and –50 °C according to the Charpy method with the direction of an impact perpendicular to the plane. The use of an anaerobic polymer material as a component of the liquid phase of the hybrid matrix makes possible to obtain the highest impact strength among the compared types of carbon plastics and to ensure the stability of this characteristic after exposure at a temperature of –50°C. Synthetic wax in the structure of the composite matrix ensures the stability of impact strength after storage at a temperature of –30°C. The influence of the preparation of a dispersed filler on the properties and structure of the compound has been evaluated. The resistance of the epoxy-sand compounds to the effects of aggressive media (anti-icing materials) was investigated. The values of the friction coefficients of the epoxy-sand compound were determined. Carbon and basalt fibers were used, a composition of epoxy resin and an amine hardener was used as a polymer matrix. The results of strength tests for assessing the adhesive strength by the pull-out method are presented, using two types of samples: macro and micro, differing in the accuracy of determining the contact area between the fiber and the polymer matrix. Carbon fiber specimens were made, using the infusion technology with various curing technologies. The finished specimens were kept in a 7% NaCl solution and the interlayer shear strength and microstructure were evaluated. The copper coating of 100 nm thickness was deposited on two sides by the magnetron sputtering method. Layers of the carbon tape were bonded by soldering before impregnation. It allowed us to increase interlaminar shear strength of composite material. Impregnation was performed by the vacuum infusion method. As a result, interlaminar shear strength was increased by 70%. Compositions of different chemical nature (epoxy, anaerobic, organic-silicon and hot melt glue based on a copolymer ethylene with vinyl acetate) were used as adhesive materials. AISI 430 steel samples were applied as substrates.
