A method for predicting the stability of the hot forging process of P4 crankshaft forgings with untreated counterweights using a non-linear model describing the key characteristic of the forging («crookedness») was developed. The control method of the unbalance dispersion of the forging depending on its KPF was tested at the forging shop.
