The current article presents an analysis of the main methodologi-cal approaches to the narrative analysis and the results of the empirical research of the motivational and meaning sphere of the personality of a woman in the implementation of maternal behavior by the method of narrative analysis. Data Collection. The study included 84 mothers and 105 women without children aged 31 to 40 years. The task of presenting the narrative was to write a fairy tale on a white sheet with pencil for 20 minutes. Method and Measures. Basing on the description of possible actions by the pro-tagonists of narrative V. Y. Propp and analysis of the approaches to describing the structure of the narrative of Ukrainian and foreign researchers, we have identified 14 features, given the expediency of their psychological interpretation, and conducted a quantitative analysis of the narrative. After identifying the presence or absence of features of the narratives, two-by-two contingency tables (n = 84 and n = 105) were constructed to determine the statisti-cal relationship between the features and the Pearson’s chi-squared test (х 2 ) and the Cramйr’s V were used. To process the results was used IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0.0.1 software. Results and Discussion. Revealed different frequency combinations of structural features, which were found in the narratives of the subjects with high level of statisti-cal significance.","PeriodicalId":121823,"journal":{"name":"Odesa National University Herald. The availability of psychological violence forms in such families is reinforced by another psychological peculiarity — the co-dependence. The co-dependence can be characterized as self-destructive behavior, which is based on psychological violence and the noncompliance of the upbringing and family interaction principles. The content of the principles of non-violent communication in social work with co-dependent families is to learn of effective communication co-dependent, that is the basis of harmonious interaction in the family. The peculiarity of the implementation the principles of non-violent communication is the development of several communicative skills: a) verbal expression of co-dependent family members feelings; b) the ability to hear and understand another; c) to identify the needs of co-dependent in social interaction. In the activity of a social worker with co-dependent families, a four-stage model of the teaching the principles of non-violent communication is used, which can be conditionally defined on the following signs: the description of the conflict situation, the expression of feelings by each member of the family, the verbalization of the spouses needs, the formulation of the request to satisfy the family members needs. The principles of non-violent communication help to overcome the problem of gender violence, to find a way for both women and men to realize themselves in the family as parents and individuals at the same time, not referring to unconstructive and discriminative forms of communication. The methodical recommendations which allow to realize the principles of non-violent communication in the work of a social worker with co-dependent families are given. The teaching the principles of non-violent communication will promote harmonization of family relations, the correction and the prevention of psychological violence in co-dependent families, the education of independent person with an active self-expressed position and conscious behavior.","PeriodicalId":121823,"journal":{"name":"Odesa National University Herald. The author tries to answer questions about what happens to the youth’s self-awareness in the process of adaptation to new living conditions and educational activity abroad, how the personality enters into the diversity of life situations of the new socio-cultural environment, how the young person achieves conformity (compatibility) with the new cultural environment, how to rethink old values and creates new ones. Student’s effectiveness of professional training first of all depends of how successful the young man is adapted for independent activity and further acceptance of himself in the new social role — «student» and actions on self-development. Possibilities of forming mechanisms of effective overcoming of problems (mechanisms of adaptation) that arise directly affect and the strength of motivation to study a student who is studying in a other cultural environment. In general, the concept of «adaptation» as well as «motivation» are universal. The existence of diverse definitions is due to the specifics of existing scientific approaches and schools. Depending on the approach and understanding of the concept, the strategy of overcoming the existing problems of adaptation and motivation to study students in a other cultural environment is solved. The main primary studies of the problem of adaptation are located in the organismcentered, population-centered, biocentric approaches, sociological, psychological. However, a purely psychological look at the problem of adaptation requires a dynamic look at the problem. The process of adapting the individual in the conditions of the other cultural environment of students is important to consider, based on all the content of its educational and scientific activities, communication, in the context of the development of its consciousness and value relationships. As a result of this aggregate of the interrelated dynamic characteristics, we obtain a certain «mirror» of the success of the social-psychological adaptation of the individual in a other cultural environment, namely the motivation to study as the main purpose of the student’s stay in this environment. For us, the motivation for learning is a combination of the causes of the sociopsychological nature that determines human behavior, its orientation and activity in learning. From the analysis of the meaning and degree of influence of the motives for the success of the training, it is said that without motives, the motives create only a potential opportunity for the professional development of a young person, the realization of which is precisely due to its activities and adaptation in a other cultural environment.
