With each passing year there is a rapid and growing technological evolution that can be mobilized in the area of aging that can promote better levels of health. This evolution has been shown to be systematic with the emergence of numerous applications and digital platforms that could facilitate the daily routines of citizens. In particular, there is a need to involve older citizens in this new digital context, in order to provide them with better living and health conditions. Currently, digital resources are emerging, namely applications that are available free of charge for use on a digital medium, which aim to respond to the new needs of older people. In this context, an investigation was carried out with 6 participants, who used the MyTherapy application for 2 weeks and it was concluded that it is an asset in helping the elderly to take medication correctly, since it was verified that the itself supports as a reminder, resulting in a timely intake, fulfilling the daily medical prescription","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134311653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To increase user satisfaction, app developers invest a lot of work into gathering and utilizing user input. This paper presents an analysis of the mobile app market through the development of a mobile app. The app provides users with an overview of the most important statistics, including the best apps in each category, the categories with the most apps, and the overall statistics. The data was collected through the analysis of publicly available annual reports, and presented in a user-friendly format through the use of graphics. The focus of the study was to provide a useful tool for developers and individuals seeking specific statistics. Although the approach has proven to be effective, the authors suggest potential, such as incorporating live data from the Google Play Store and analysing the App Store. Additionally, comparing the data from multiple years can provide useful insights into the evolution of the market.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133074899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, the main principles of gas concentration measurement are compared and it is concluded that non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensors may be the most appropriate solution to be integrated into a low-power WSN node. As a result, the design of a sensor is proposed, optimizing the measurement time and consumption, so that they can be self-powered using energy harvesting and supercapacitors (SCs) instead of batteries. Finally, the energy balance is carried out for an application example.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115621407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem with this change is that not all tax systems have evolved with the same intensity, and it is likely that in the economies of many countries, indeterminate and uncontrollable tax evasion and avoidance is taking place up to now. For the collection of information, a survey was used that seeks to determine the level of evolution of the tax systems of Peru and Chile, the sample taken is non-probabilistic and considers companies that have at least the median range in their countries of origin. The research is applied, cross-sectional and descriptive. It is concluded that the advance of electronic businesses in the study area has been registering significant growth, with more than 61% possibilities, which generates higher income that is subject to taxation. Likewise, electronic commerce has had a much more relevant growth with 87% progress, which puts pressure on the current tax system so that it can implement greater tax collection measures.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114635517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the context of oncology, it was no different, as several studies address health care or services related to mobile devices. Apps aimed at the medical field (m-health) focus directly on monitoring symptoms and improving interaction between health professionals and patients, combined with the convenience of smartphones. In this context, this work aims to address recent studies on the use of m-health in the clinical practice of oncological diseases and report the characteristics of the apps involved. For this, a review of m-health focused on oncology was conducted using the PubMed and Science Direct databases. The investigation was carried out using tools inherent in international databases and was limited to articles published between 2015 and 2022. In total, 34 articles were analyzed, with a higher frequency of publications between 2019 and 2022. The resources observed were patient follow-up, prevention of signs and symptoms, monitoring of treatment and aid in prognosis and diagnosis of patients. It is concluded that a close collaboration among patients, health professionals, and information technology professionals is necessary to optimize symptom recognition and improve patient-professional communication. Although the pandemic has intensified the increase in the use of m-health, its use is expected to increase in the post-pandemic scenario, bearing in mind the changes in social dynamics and the growing dissemination of technologies.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114856940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the key challenges in addressing VAW is the lack of mechanisms to make the data available accessible and easy to interpret. Data visualization techniques and tools can play a crucial role in supporting understanding of this issue and raising awareness. We present the results of a qualitative observation conducted with 34 individuals who used a visualization tool to explore the 2019 Survey on Family Relations and Violence Against Women in Ecuador. The tool enhanced participants’ understanding of the prevalence, types, and scope of gender violence in Ecuador and its impact on women’s lives. We also discuss the implications of our observations and the potential and limitations of data visualization tools for addressing these and similar social issues.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116751179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A study was conducted on random maps, by Monte Carlo simulation, in which the weights are uniformly distributed, in order to assess the impact of these conditions on the shortest paths. We provide a freely accessible webpage, where the user can insert the number of nodes, specify whether it is a directed or undirected graph, and the range of the distribution, to observe the influence of each parameter. We consider several goals: we offer the procedure computation, based on the well-known Dijkstra’s algorithm; we combine the PHP language with a numerical language (Fortran), with the gnuplot graphing utility; and we stress the suggestion of the Internet as a computing medium. The simulation runs on the webpage, thus needing no software installation or special power or matching operating system. This Web application is an example for many other problems, and is implemented on a Linux platform. The study draws attention both to the use of the Web for scientific computing, and to the convenience of this use in scientific publications. We advocate web-based computing in general, as it can use the same programs as classical computing, the programs being always the technical difficulty. In our technological era, this still scarcely explored approach also promotes the transfer of knowledge from academia to industry.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115119854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
