In Portugal, the educational systems determine some rules to promote an educational process that leads students to attain specific skills, abilities, and attitudes according to the student profile at the end of compulsory education. Study or training visits are didactic tools that contribute to the link between theoretical content and practice, adding value to the teaching and learning process. In this sense, virtual study visits (VSVs) using digital technologies are a way to promote connections between knowledge and know-how since they have a low cost, require less bureaucratic processes, and allow teachers to make use of this resource within the timetable of the curricular units. VSVs can be used in all curricular units, adding value to the contents covered. This study rooted in the Design Science Research methodology, proposes the construction of an artefact that can contribute to the training processes within teaching. It is based on an innovation idea awarded in 2021 and consists of creating a web portal to promote virtual visits, which may be used as an environment for the promotion of virtual field trips customised according to the curricular units and the level of the classes. It is expected that the web portal can contribute to the sustainable development of the regions, as it will use local tour guides who will receive all the training to prepare multimedia material and deal with each level of education.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115123659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Users of Higher Education Institutions are specific cases, and it is important to know their perception, in particular that of students about these actions. The use of controlled attacks has been widely used, if possible, on a regular basis, to know the reality of an organization and, in this way, ways of acting can be planned to better defend and prepare users for current and future engineering attacks. Social. This work sought, through this simulated attack approach and an awareness campaign, to assess the state of users in terms of awareness of phishing and to propose and evaluate preventive measures for its improvement. Among the results found, it is identified that the most vulnerable groups are younger students, and students from different areas of study do not present relevant differences in the perception of phishing. Furthermore, the use of simple documentation and information techniques for users did not significantly improve perception, making it necessary to explore new ways of preparing users for phishing.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127085060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, we follow this track and present the first results of a new research approach to analyze and compare existing features commonly assigned to students used by automatic detectors for the behavior gaming the system in different situations, including problem-solving, considering various criteria. We have addressed the following main research question: What information or feature patterns about the students have been considered by automatic detector models of gaming the system behaviors? To answer this question, we have followed a knowledge discovery methodology in two studies: literature review and pattern identification. These studies were carried out in five concurrent stages: Selection of papers, Identification of the relevant works, Extraction of variables, Creating the patterns, and Mapping of the works in the standards. Results indicate that the detectors reported in the literature use eight variable patterns.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126866715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodologically, it was developed under the positivist paradigm, with a quantitative approach, the design is non-experimental and cross-sectional. The information was collected through a self-created questionnaire applied to 247 professors-researchers working in fifteen academic units. The findings show that professor-researchers perceive a level below the average in two of the six categories analyzed, which implies greater attention to the indicators of Quality and Leadership. Likewise, according to the results of this research, the aspects with more presence for the creation of learning communities in research centers of a higher education institution are Collaborative work, Interactive groups, Dialogic learning, and Authentic Evaluation. Therefore, the results will be especially useful to make decisions, establishing strategies, and set up actions to strengthen the areas of opportunity identified in the research.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116004217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
