For such knowledge, you must perform a literature review and explore what has been published in the area. There are several methodologies, some more scientific as systematic review, and others. Some have a defined protocol but mainly depend on the authors’ analysis. This research includes several database searches to retrieve text to analyze using text mining, to help on the initial step of review – identify keywords. When you are just starting a new R&D and you need to know the buzzwords for further and deeper investigation you can use text mining to help you. This work is a starting point to perform a state-of-the-art in health literacy area. Further than “Health literacy”, the top ten words are “University” and “School” beyond “Medicine”, “Patients”, care and “information”.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132958646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, by connecting a thermographic camera of this type to a smartphone, it is possible to obtain thermographic images of reasonable quality in a simple, quick, and painless way. Its transport and handling are quite easy, which allows its use by anyone and anywhere. Furthermore, the cost of these cameras is reduced, thus making their use even more accessible. In the present work, it was intended to develop an application to automatically segment and evaluate the skin lesions from thermographic images obtained through the smartphone. The detection of the injured region (by the percentage of area) and obtaining its characteristics, such as minimum, average, and maximum temperature were implemented to monitor the lesion. The results obtained are promising and reinforce the interest in using this application in health centers or by medical and nursing teams, for the care, prevention, and monitoring of skin lesions in conjunction with other diagnostic methods.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130504429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper addresses the indicators present in the air and their relationship in the accommodation and transmission of viruses, as well as how these environmental indicators can lead to health problems. Therefore, the main goal of this work is to review the scientific contributions in the literature in order to determine and select the potential environmental indicators present in indoor environments which have an impact on the health of people who work and live within these spaces. For this purpose, we carried out a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) related to environmental monitoring, COVID-19, Internet of things, air pollution and environmental indicators within indoor spaces. This SLR allowed us to identify indicators that according to their level of presence can represent a high risk for people’s health. Therefore, the process of planning, conducting and reporting the Systematic Literature Review enabled us not only to identify some environmental indicators, but also their corresponding monitoring advantages and disadvantages, and multiple perspectives and approaches of each contribution in the literature. Further on, this study will be the basis for the proposal of an automatic and intelligent platform based on Internet of Things for monitoring indoor environments in order to detect high risk levels for the contamination of contagious diseases.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128830329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Academics, citizens, and decision-makers from different levels of government have a surging interest in knowing how to properly frame and adapt the transforming demands, opportunities, and social patterns brought by technologies which allow sharing data and processes, expanding digital capabilities, and combining services and governance models. In parallel, concerns over accountability, access and participation take up more space in the debate around digitalization of governments. On the one hand, technology can be used to legitimize the public sector, bringing citizens closer to politics, and reducing civic apathy. Yet, on the other hand, if this digitalization process is left unquestioned, the foundations of democracy as we know it will be eroded. Therefore, this research aims at identifying the ‘platformization’ level of Portuguese municipalities, by building an Index that combines both qualitative and quantitative data, through an exploratory sequential mixed methods approach. Additionally, an in-depth analysis will be conducted using comparative methods, in order to capture distinctive patterns within selected municipalities. The outputs of this research are expected to contribute not only for mapping Portuguese municipalities’ penetration of digital platforms, but also for broadening the evidence on the impacts of these technologies on public scrutiny, citizen participation and legitimacy in the context of local democracies.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125473584","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Choosing a software architecture is something that will impact the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and, as such, should be seen as an extremely important task. A monolithic architecture enables a fast initial development, however there are several limits after a certain point. A microservices architecture is highly scalable and can handle many clients simultaneously, but it is too complex to be used at an early stage of software development. If the software grows, it will have to scale, and an architecture migration may be necessary. This paper presents an architectural approach for this migration to be done with minimal refactoring and keeping infrastructure and implementation costs low.","PeriodicalId":121747,"journal":{"name":"2023 18th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132706941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We can currently find many university degrees that follow a hybrid approach, where the students can choose between face-to-face (attending to the classroom with the teacher) or online (followed by telematic means) teaching. Often, the implementation of this hybrid approach implies that the teaching is made at the same time to face-to-face and online students.
