Development of systems with such modeling language is based principally on models as abstractions of real-world and/or thought concepts where different kinds of models represent different views on a system. During systems development such models are enriched with additional information and are thus transformed from more abstract into more concrete ones. While object oriented models traditionally served as blueprints for manual systems implementation, the model driven architecture initiative of the OMG (OMG, 2003) promotes the usage of models throughout the entire development process. Starting from a so-called Computation Independent Model (CIM), different kinds of transformations lead to Platform Specific Models (PSMs). These PSMs can be used later to generate code for a specific platform. This paper presents a code generation approach by model transformation taking as source models: the Domain Class Diagram (DCD) and Transition's State Diagram (TSD) and instead of generating directly plain text for the chosen platform, an intermediate structural model for the Java platform is generated. Such intermediate model will enable its extensibility with new features. The core idea of this article is code generation by model transformation from transition State diagram for system's complex classes. The generated code contains full details for the class (attributes) and full methods signatures.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129415672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many BPM tools provide mechanisms to adapt reference process models in order to meet new needs. However, this adaptation results in a set of variants which have to be managed. One of the most proposed solutions is the configurable process model. Therefore, evolving this configurable process model in terms of activities, a data flows and resources changes becomes a crucial issue. In this paper, we propose a process pattern which guides designers for managing evolution of configurable reference process models.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127932601","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It uses interactive game-like delivery methods to acquire new linguistic skills in playful manner using the capabilities of modern mobile devices with multi-touch technologies. The LingoSnacks learning platform provides an environment of authoring Arabic learning content and delivering it to the end-users in interactive, intuitive and enjoyable way. The learning content is organized into packages that contain a list of words, the different meanings of words with examples and multimedia illustrations. The package also contains other related linguistic and morphological information such as the parts of speech of example sentences. The developed system was tested to ensure that it meets its functional requirements. Additionally performance and usability evaluation was conducted to refine the system and demonstrate that the design constraints are satisfied.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133787564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, and despite all its advantages, it still suffers of a significant drop-out rate which is due, in particular, in the absence of an appropriate monitoring and support in learning. We propose to achieve an intelligent tutoring system able to classify learners into groups representing their learning profiles through their interactions, by taking into account their evolution during the learning. For then associate each learner with a tutor of the same profile that can react to its actions, providing them support and appropriate accompaniment throughout their learning The classification of learners in the profiles was carried out following several steps. Indeed, the profile derived by the classification algorithm cannot be considered as a correct profile, we have to consider the mood of learner, the personal and professional constraints that can significantly influence his performance and behavior. Thus, it is essential to continue to monitor his progress and to deduce his exact profile following behavior which dominates throughout his apprenticeship. However, the need of support by a tutor with a good knowledge of the needs and expectations of learner appears in his first contact with the apprenticeship system. Thus we have to be able to deduce his exact profile while associating an intelligent tutor providing ongoing support and as relevant as possible from the start of training. Due to the large number of learners, we propose a method for classification based on the behavior of ants; it is an improvement of the unsupervised algorithm ANTCLUST. The choice landed on the artificial ants because they are known for their dynamic and evolutionary aspects that will allow us to continue to supervise the development of learners.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121625537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been shown to have a better ability to represent the image than the continuous orthogonal moments. A problem concerning the use of moments as descriptors is the highest cost of calculation, which may limit their application to the problems in which the calculation online is necessary. In this paper, we present an approach for the rapid calculation of two-dimensional Tchebichef moments by using image block representation for binary images and the slice representation of intensity to gray-scale images. A theoretical analysis shows that the computational complexity of the proposed method is based on the number of blocks of the image, thus, it can accelerate the computational efficiency since the number of blocks is less than the size of the image. Finally, the performances of Tchebichef moments in describing images were measured in terms of the image reconstruction error.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125111735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More precisely, the purpose is to better take into account the semantic dependencies between words expressed by the co-occurrence frequencies of these words. There have been many proposals to compute similarities between words based on their distributions in contexts. In this paper, we compare and contrast the effect of two preprocessing techniques applied to Arabic corpus: Stemming, and Light Stemming techniques for measuring the semantic between Arabic words with the well known abstractive model -Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA)- with a wide variety of distance functions and similarity measures, such as the Euclidean Distance, Cosine Similarity, Jaccard Coefficient, and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The obtained results show that, on the one hand, the variety of the corpus produces more accurate results; on the other hand, the Light Stemming outperformed the Stemming approach because Stemming affects the words meanings.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131539843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SC2 is a naïve Bayes-like classifier based on Markov Model. We describe the classifier, and then provide experimental results on the University of New Mexico's four system call trace data sets, namely Synthetic Sendmail UNM, Synthetic Sendmail CERT, live lpr UNM and live lpr MIT. SC2 classification results are compared to leading machine learning techniques namely, Naive Bayes multinomial (NBm), C4.5 (decision tree), RIPPER (RP), support vector machine (SVM), and logistic regression (LR). Initial findings show that the accuracy of SC2 is comparable to those of leading classifiers, while SC2 has a better detection rate than some of these classifiers on some data sets. SC2 can classify efficiently very long stealthy sequences by using a backtrack, scale and re-multiply technique, together with estimation of standard IEEE 754-2008 relative error of floating-point arithmetic for an acceptable classification confidence.","PeriodicalId":120664,"journal":{"name":"2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology","volume":"3 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120905191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
