Desa","doi":"10.1109/INDIN.2006.275843","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/INDIN.2006.275843","url":null,"abstract":"Machine downtime can be defined as a total amount of time the machine would normally be out of service from the moment it fails until the moment it is fully repaired and back to operate. Once a unit experiences a service downtime or downgrade, the covariates or risk factors can directly impact on the delay in repairing activities. Our study reveals the model to identify the potential risk factors that either delay or accelerate repair times, and it also demonstrates the extent of such delay, attributable to specific risk factors. Once risk factors are detected, the maintenance planners and maintenance supervisors are aware of the starting and finishing points for each repairing job due to their prior knowledge about the potential barriers and the facilitators. There are not many sufficient studies made on the application of artificial intelligence techniques to access troubleshooting activities as it always taken into consideration in a verbal sense and yet is not dealt with mathematically. The proposed study extended Choy, John, Thomas & Yan [1] models using either semi-parametric or non-parametric approaches of reliability analysis to examine the relationship between repair time and various risk factors of interest. Then the models will be embedded to neural networks to provide better estimation of repairing parameters. The proposed models can be used by maintenance managers as a benchmarking to develope quality service to enhance competitiveness among service providers in corrective maintenance field. Accordingly, mid-term capacity planning paradigm has shifted from algorithm-based solutions for single production site to collaboration-oriented planning in multiple production sites. This paper presents an agent-based multi-site capacity planning framework for autonomous plants within an organization by exploiting the features of agents (autonomy, social ability, re-, and pro-activeness). The creation of a \"community of practice\", where explicit knowledge in knowledge base and tacit knowledge are shared among systems and people, will facilitate the knowledge flow across department walls and plants' boundaries, supporting the generation of \"global optimal\" capacity plans. However, this change is driving to reengineer the color reproduction workflows and how to help printing companies in improving their printing processes by means of color management has not been clearly spelled out by ICC yet. This is the main challenge for ICC to uphold color management for the printing industry in the next generation. This paper aims to address such a problem encountered in printing industry. It provides process modeling for a variety of color work flows, identifies the primitive activities in a unified process model for next generation color management to improve the color print quality and efficiency. This cognition can be achieved by considering tourist's information, scenery information, general knowledge of tourism and situational variables in one context. Some new SVM models, by minimizing the confident risk under given empirical risk, are proposed to achieve this aim. The solving methods for these models are also discussed. It is shown that the smoothing technique is more suitable to solve these models. A numerical experiment is carried out to claim that the empirical risks of these models are well controlled. The main advantage of these models is of good interactive. The trade-off between the empirical risk and the confident risk can be controlled more easily than traditional SVM models. In particular the needs of the automotive powertrain sector are considered, and a new Technology Cycle Plan initiative by the Ford Motor Company is described, which aims to fundamentally enhance the capabilities of Ford's automation systems in a lifecycle engineering context. Ongoing research at Loughborough University, which has shown the potential value of adopting a lifecycle engineering approach to automation, is briefly reviewed, and the opportunities for more virtual engineering and greater functional modularity in future automation systems are highlighted.
