This makes every nation of the world a unique entity. Rather than a blessing, cultural diversity has become a tool of oppression, domination, nepotism, injustice, disparity and discrimination in the hands of political actors and influential citizens in Nigeria. In the fight against police brutality that gave birth to a dramatic event tagged “End Sars Protest” on 20th December 2020, Nigerian youths demonstrated unity in diversity. On the contrary, the same youths are major instruments of various secessionist movements and agitating groups such as Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Movement for The Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSON), The Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), and Yoruba Nation. What a paradoxical situation! Against this background, this study focused on youth’s awareness of Nigeria's cultural diversity and its implication for leadership development. The study explored social leadership development theory as a theoretical framework while adopting descriptive survey research design and structured questionnaires to gather information. The population for the study is comprised of the members of the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA) alongside the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN). As a result, the study adopted a purposive stratified random sampling method to select a specified number of respondents from each youth organisation within the coalition and National Youth Council of Nigeria. Then, the data collected were analysed by Microsoft Data Analysis Tool Pack and Integrated with Microsoft Excel for easy display and graphical illustration. From the findings, the study recommends that youth organisations in Nigeria should adopt a cultural approach to leadership development in their training schemes. Also, the government of the Nigerian public and private sectors should make a policy of cultural inclusion and create a sensitisation platform to educate people on the uniqueness of Nigeria's cultural diversity.","PeriodicalId":120234,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139277081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And it has been established that for higher education institutions to survive the competition, they must engage stakeholders as one of their main intangible assets. It is against this background that this study was conducted to investigate stakeholder mapping strategies adopted by public universities in Ghana. It employed a qualitative method to interpret responses from Key Informants (KI), and literature, to empirically understand how effective stakeholder mapping is undertaken in higher education management. Expert Purposive sampling was used in the selection of the KIs to obtain privileged information regarding stakeholder mapping in higher education management using the C. K. Tedam University of Technology & Applied Sciences as a case study. The software applications used for the data collection and analysis were Google forms. The findings revealed that stakeholder mapping as a concept and a practice is anchored on the Act establishing the C.K. Tedam University of Technology & Applied Sciences and the University’s Statutes. It further reveals that stakeholder mapping served as a strategic tool for identifying and engaging key stakeholders through representation on Boards and Committees as well as consultative meetings and public fora on the basis of power, influence, and interest. However, some key stakeholder groups were not covered in the Act and thus not adequately represented on the governing council which is the apex decision making body. Accordingly, this study recommends that any future amendment of the Act should cover neglected stakeholders and Corporate Social Responsibility should be institutionalised as a measure for enhancing the University’s relations with external stakeholders.","PeriodicalId":120234,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124572725","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It explains the two concepts that are similar in nature by discussing who is a legitimate child and who is an illegitimate child; it also discusses the legal implications of an illegitimate child and that of legitimate child. It discusses the rights and privileges of a legitimate child and also those of an illegitimate child. The article discusses the statuses of illegitimate child under Islamic law, statutory law, customary law, and under void marriage and voidable marriages. It goes further to discuss the provision of Section 42 (2) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) viz-a-viz the status of illegitimate children. The work reviews some relevant cases to the topic. It concludes by summarizing that it could be deduced that before a child could be regarded as legitimate, he or she must be a product of a valid marriage. However, the case of acknowledgement did not take this into consideration. The article recommends that the Legitimacy Act be made less stringent, that the date of legitimation should be made effective from the date of birth and not the date of legitimation and that the constitution should be amended to include punishment for whoever discriminates or make derogatory remarks about an illegitimate child, among others.","PeriodicalId":120234,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115166467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper employs a bibliographic strategy, seeking to trace the evolution of this musical genre, and determine its implication for music pedagogy, premised on the theory of contiguity. Saturated data, collected through document review, were subjected to thematic-textual analysis. Findings suggest that song cycles emerged, towards the end of the Classical period and rose to their highest point in the Romantic period, with Beethoven having the credit for pioneering the genre. The study also revealed that in Leiderkreis, key relationship is important and plays a coherent role by making the songs an organic, composite whole in a manner which could be either formal or dynamic. It was concluded that Liederkreis has rich pedagogical prospects due to its focus on the strengths, talents, abilities of every student. The study recommended deliberate and adequate use of Liederkreis in the music classroom. By doing so, students could learn to value each other’s uniqueness in strengths, abilities, and competencies thereby promoting a community of learners where music teaching and learning becomes simplistic and organic, allowing all to grow and bloom. Future research will examine the extent to which Liederkreis has been employed in various music instructional contexts.","PeriodicalId":120234,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129461470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In effect, any assistance provided by administrative staff to students and faculty that benefits the institution's overall well-being constitutes an administrative support service. Despite their complementary role in the teaching and learning process, it appears from the literature that administrative support services receive little attention when it comes to students’ evaluation of university services for quality assurance. This article reviews digitally available scholarly research on administrative support services in higher education. The purpose of the review was to justify the inclusion of administrative support in students' evaluations of university services for quality assurance. To do this, the study reviewed scholarly works on administrative support services in higher education. In all, 43 research articles were analyzed in terms of six criteria, namely 1) nature of administrative support in higher education 2) administrative support as service 3) customers of higher education administrative support 4) quality as necessity in administrative support 5) justification for quality assuring administrative support service 6)justification for use of students’ to evaluate administrative support services. The study found that administrative support and teaching services have a direct symbiotic relationship. Quality assurance of teaching services without the same being done for administrative support services does not provide a complete picture of the overall service quality and well-being of higher education. Again, the study found that a lot of resources go into the recruitment and maintenance of administrative staff. To ensure efficiency effectiveness and accountability of this staff, there is the need for frequent evaluation. The study recommends periodic student satisfaction surveys to ascertain students’ level of satisfaction with administrative support services.","PeriodicalId":120234,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123371322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
