The scenario is based on a novel serious game, that gets high school students acquainted with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes the development of their computational thinking skills. Game-based learning is built upon collaborative problem solving and evolves around an interactive story augmented with small quests/inquiries.\u0000Students work together to navigate the serious game on the SDGs. As students complete SDGs-related quests/inquiries, the story evolves. The challenge is a game expansion with custom settings (backdrops/avatars) that will take place in Scratch, allowing students to differentiate their learning path. For the game, that was developed in Scratch visual programming environment, this works suggests an educational scenario and indicative student activities for hybrid (synchronous and asynchronous) education. Using the Flipped Classroom instructional strategy, the scenario starts asynchronously, unfolds synchronously, and is completed asynchronously.\u0000The proposed serious game follows the guided discovery method for the acquaintance with the SDGs and the accompanying educational scenario aims for students to acquire the required programming skills to develop a small interactive application on the SDGs. Through game expansion challenge students hone their programming skills in a purposeful and entertaining way. An evaluation by students concludes the work.

It is an extension of an earlier study that was done in a different time frame to support related conclusions. The dataset includes all students in the last two grades of primary school and the first three years of secondary school. The academic success levels, as well as their longitudinal dimension and divergence by demographic factors, were identified. The results of our previous study, which showed that there are four consistent levels of academic achievement across time, were confirmed by the current research. In addition, the significance of demographic characteristics such as gender and guardian occupation were verified. Last but not least, the importance of early identification of low-performing students was emphasized, as was the likelihood of a significant improvement in their performance. We think that one of the biggest problems with making good educational policies is that it's hard to help students who aren't performing well.

The CFRP plates are bonded to the outer surfaces of the flanges with a view to reducing warping normal stresses. The maximum warping normal stress in the flanges of a steel I-shaped member without the CFRP plates is compared to those obtained with the CFRP plates having various thicknesses. It has been found that the use of CFRP plates bonded to both flanges of the I-section result in a substantial reduction of the warping stresses. For the study presented, the maximum warping normal stress without CFRP plates drops down to merely one-third of its value when 0.625-in. thick CFRP plates are mounted on the outer surfaces of the I-section flanges.

The students in those sciences learn the basic principles and effects of ionizing radiation on patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, as well as the theoretical background in biomedical equipment operation. It is fundamental for those students to receive proper hands-on training, to successfully connect the theory with practice. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed education to a new normal, establishing the use of emerging technologies to facilitate distance learning and virtual interaction. In this paper, we reviewed the literature for applications of virtual reality (VR) learning environments in the education of medical ionizing radiation sciences. We performed a literature search in the databases PubMed and Epistemonikos for the last decade (2012-2022), using combinations of keywords. We also performed a manual search in ResearchGate electronic repository. We identified 15 studies investigating the impact of the application of VR learning environments on students in medicine and allied health professions relevant to medical ionizing radiation sciences. The application of VR can lead to the improvement of learning outcomes, the development of clinical and soft skills, facilitate the comprehension of theoretical concepts through visualization and increase the level of confidence of students before clinical practice. In addition, it is an attractive method of training, offering the benefits of repetition and practice in a safe environment for the students. None of the studies refer that VR learning environments have replaced the clinical placements of the students, which are considered a critical component of their clinical practice. Concluding, there is only a little, regional, and relatively recent quantitative evidence, demonstrating the successful incorporation of VR learning environments in curricula of medical ionizing radiation sciences. From our perspective, VR can become a valuable pedagogical tool for those curricula, helping the connection of theory with clinical practice and enhancing the confidence of students.

Since the CoI Framework has been widely used to examine the quality of educational interactions, its applicability to non-formal education has not been adequately explored. This research is a case study of the "Distance Education" group on Facebook. It was mainly carried out during a period of restrictions due to COVID-19, when most schools in Greece remained closed.\u0000This study explores the process by which shared understanding and learning were fostered in a Peer-to-Peer setting of teachers. Through group exploration and interaction team members were able to provide solutions and answers while focused discussion and smooth functioning were controlled by administrators who were also educators.\u0000The results of this research show the presence of social, cognitive, and teaching elements during the discussions. Similarly, the findings of the analysis of the discussions show that they contained content directly related to the learning activities, thus indicating the presence of the cognitive component. Off-topic discussions helped develop social relationships. Overall, when interpreted within the framework of CoI, the results reveal that all three components of an effective online learning experience were present in the context of Peer-to-Peer conversations between teachers.\u0000The most important finding is that during the pandemic, teachers had to develop reciprocal relationships and create common plans and projects that helped them overcome difficulties and, finally, reflect dialectically on the extraordinary conditions created by the pandemic. The results of the research can be used by professionals who wish to apply the framework in a non-formal educational setting.

The seeds contain oil of about 24.86%. The oil is of high quality and possesses good characteristics that can be used as feedstock in food industries and in many other industrial applications. This research study was focused on investigating the proximate composition, mechanical and chemical properties of soursop seeds for industrial uses and as a potential supplement for feedstock. The data obtained from this study was statistically analysed using Tukey HSD. The results for the proximate analyses of soursop seeds were found to be high for all moisture content levels (19.10%, 19.82%, 20.67%, 21.25% and 23.15%). The samples with 30% moisture contain level contained the highest level of fat. Carbohydrate content in the sample was found to be low for all moisture content level (3.21%, 3.46%, 3.79%, 4.23% and 44.76%). The relative density values were between 0.92 and 0.98 (g/cm3) with specific gravity from 0.72 to 0.96 and refractive index was 1.46 at all the moisture levels employed. The results obtained from investigating the various composition of soursop seeds and also the oil expressed from the seeds indicted that, soursop seeds possess some good qualities which can be used for many industrial applications.

Expansion further to fully Autonomy is extremely complicated since it requires planning safe paths in unstable and dynamic environments. Impression learning and other path learning techniques lack generalization and safety assurances. Selecting the model and avoiding obstacles are two difficult issues in the research of autonomous vehicles. Q-learning has evolved into a potent learning framework that can now acquire complicated strategies in high-dimensional contexts to the advent of deep feature representation. A deep Q-learning approach is proposed in this study by using experienced replay and contextual expertise to address these issues. A path planning strategy utilizing deep Q-learning on the network edge node is proposed to enhance the driving performance of autonomous vehicles in terms of energy consumption. When linked vehicles maintain the recommended speed, the suggested approach simulates the trajectory using a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) concept controller. Smooth trajectory and reduced jerk are ensured when employing the PID controller to monitor the terminals. The computational findings demonstrate that, in contrast to traditional techniques, the approach could investigate a path in an unknown situation with small iterations and a higher average payoff. It can also more quickly converge to an ideal strategic plan.
