The system is based on a single-stage photovoltaic (PV) topology where an array of solar panels is connected to various inverters, with each inverter supplying a corresponding centrifugal pump. The inverters are operated to extract the maximum power available from the PV system. A standard indirect vector control strategy is used to regulate each machine currents. Moreover, a modulation strategy aiming to reduce the ripple of the inverters common DC link current is presented. This motor is a type of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), and two kinds of Nd-Fe-B magnets with different coercive force are used. The motor model proposed in this paper can improve the motor variable speed range and efficiency compared with a basic motor model. No-load, load, and stress analyses are carried out using FEA simulations. Both shorted turns of the stator windings and broken rotor bars, are taken into consideration. Internal signals from the vector control structure are utilized in order to diagnose both winding damages. The use of current or voltage signals in a synchronously rotating coordinate system is proposed in this paper. Experimental tests have been conducted for different speed and load torque values. Such methods are useful for identifying the individual modes of a system without constructing a component-based model. In the Smart Grid, Prony Analysis has been widely used on post-disturbance ring-down measurements, which have been increasingly available with the extensive deployment of PMU's. Both methods decompose the signal into decaying sinusoidals, and estimate the frequency, damping, amplitude and phase of each modal component. The first method is based on the original Prony's method, whilst the second method is based on the thought that the system can be viewed as a digital synthesis problem where the system has the properties of an infinite impulse response filter. Both methods employ EMD-based pre-filtering. The main contribution is the development of the finite element model of proposed wireless energy transfer system with reconfigurable shielding plates. The created simulation model is reconfigurable in a way of the modification of the material as well as the geometrical properties of the shielding plates and coils. This model is then used for determination of the influence of the shielding on the transfer characteristic of the WPT system and thus optimal working point and area of the WPT system. Superconducting cables can be one of the effective solutions to these problems. MATLAB simulation models were developed to analyze DC railway feeding systems and to obtain their characteristics such as voltages, currents, power loads, and energy consumption. Two different model lines of DC feeding systems were used to investigate how the superconducting cables are to be introduced into the feeding systems for effective reduction of the substation power loads. Starting from a real case study, represented by a laboratory prototype of a DC micro-grid, analytical considerations are carried out by means of functional models of the main components of the microgrid. The proposed modeling allows the identification and optimization of an energy management strategy, which is specifically evaluated in this paper to reduce electric power supplied by the main grid.
