The contact pair is one of the most important and, at the same time, most problematic parts of the current-carrying path of electrical switching apparatuses, because of its power losses. Amount of power losses is mostly affected by a contact force and by a type of used contact material. Inappropriate choice of these parameters could lead to the extreme heating of contact pair and whole device. A material of contact is affected by a high temperature. Phenomena called local softening and welding may occur due to the high temperature. Metallic bridges create a permanent connection between the contacts. This permanent connection decreases a contact resistance, but unfortunately it disables the function of the entire switching device - the ability to break the electric circuit. The paper shows one of the possible solutions to the problem with on-line detection of phenomena between contact pair using temperature rise measurement.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122310788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AR is understood to be a real-time combination of real world imagery, typically in the form of images recorded by a camera, with digitally generated one. Additional elements have to be added to the camera-captured image in real time and the whole experience should be interactive in nature, as well as allow the user to move freely. After analyzing the current applications of the discussed technology, the authors propose its utilization within the scope of companies operating in the electric power-related branch of industry, with the major focus being put on enterprises specializing in electric power distribution, both in terms of network infrastructure management and organization of training sessions pertaining to key procedures and machine handling.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130504437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Output results of FEM analysis are compared to the real laboratory measurement of asynchronous motor. External magnetic stray field is used like the basic diagnostic method of it. The main parameter to be analyzed is the induced voltage generated on the coil, which senses the external stray field in radial direction of motor axis. Fast Fourier Transformation is used to evaluate the individual components of the voltage spectrum according to common diagnostic procedures. 2D FEM model of asynchronous motor has the same parameters of real motor in laboratory including nominal output power, rpm, power factor, voltage and current. Irreversible machine failures are created with adjustment of rotor bar by drilling or in case of eccentricity by misaligned setting in bearings.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127145525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The velocity of AE wave is crucial especially in methods used for partial discharges (PD) localization and its value may influence the location, which is calculated based on arrival time. Experimental works were performed using piezoelectric transducer for AE signal generation (transmitter T) and hydrophone for AE detection (receiver R) immersed in an elongated tank filled with liquid dielectric at various distances d between T and R. The velocity was calculated based on time of arrival (ToA) of the AE signals propagating from T to R and distance d. The transmitted AE signal was modulated using a frequency range from 40 Hz to 400 Hz what enabled to determine the velocity values within the analyzed spectrum. Based on the gathered results it was stated that velocity of AE signal propagating in the considered oil decreases while increasing the distance between T and R. Furthermore the calculated values depend strongly from the frequency of the AE signal. For an exact calculation of location of PD occurring in this type of dielectric the appropriate value of velocity should be considered. It is also recommended that a correction factor related to distance between PD and AE sensor is taken into account.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126670351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This temperature gradient has both a short term influence and a long term influence. In the brief time the gradient creates mainly a conduction inhomogenity. This means that the conductivity of insulation adjacent to the heated core is higher than conductivity of insulation at outer radius of the cable. After a long time operation the changes of conductivity became massive due to chemical reactions accelerated in the places with higher temperature. All these processes give rise to the interfacial polarization which is created in insulating material with non-zero gradient of conductivity or permittivity. In our work we try to identify the mentioned interfacial polarization in a specimen of commonly used PVC cable. It was found, that the polarization appears at frequencies of the order of a few mHz. Measurement in this scale requires a special apparatus as it is sensitive to any perturbation. Here we are dealing with the problem of separation of polarization part from the conduction part of dielectric data. Following our experiments the best way of date processing is the use of complex modulus formalism. Experiences with interfacial polarization induced by a temperature gradient will be utilized for monitoring the cable properties during a long-term ageing.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115513897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The attention is focused on the optimization of deposition conditions of sputtered ITO. For the comparison as an alternative also IZO transparent conduction oxides (TCO) were prepared and measured. ITO (IZO) are key layers to attain good antireflection and collection properties. It is shown that sputtering current affects both optical as well as electrical properties of prepared ITO. Complex electrical characterization of prepared solar heterostructures was performed by using DC and AC techniques. Measurements were performed under the dark and light conditions. The obtained results show the usefulness of complementary approach in order to assess the behavior of measured samples.
