In the scientific and technical community, teleoperation is the most common term for remote operation. Telepresence, on the other hand, is a subset of telerobotic systems equipped with an immersive interface that allows the operator to feel physically present in a remote environment by conveying his presence through the remote robot [2]. In a teleoperation system, there are two main components that must be prepared. Namely the controller or robot operator (local site) and the controlled robot (remote site) [3]. Telerobot requires a transmission medium to communicate. WebSocket is very appropriate to be used as a telerobot communication protocol [4]. There are many types of telerobot, including hand robot. In this study, a telerobot uses the convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm to classify hand movements based on electromyography signal. Model testing has a training process and model tuning to get the best hyperparameter value. These results are tested on five subjects and call an average accuracy of 0.996600, f1 score of 0.996634, and precision of 0.996309 with a data composition of 80% for training data and 20% for testing data. To test the telerobot time delay by sending several motion codes from the local site to the gateway server and forwarded to the remote site with a local site bandwidth of 7.79 Mbps download and 1.56 Mbps upload and a remote site bandwidth of 11.6 Mbps for download and 5.96 Mbps for upload, the resulting average values average of 0.395 seconds or 395 ms.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121314485","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hand gesture recognition has emerged as an alternative method for predicting handwritten text, using sensors such as Kinect, LeapMotion, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and electromyograms to extract geometric and spatial information. Continuous hand-gesture recognition using cameras is preferred due to its ease of use and low hardware costs. Researchers have proposed different methods for recognizing hand gestures, including fuzzy logic, deterministic finite automata, trajectory-based methods, and dynamic probability long short-term memory (DP-LSTM). However, the latest research has shown that using LSTM can result in spatial information being lost. Therefore, this work proposes an architecture that captures spatial information using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and LSTM as Conv-LSTM, achieving high recognition rates in hand gesture trajectories for letters a to e in English captured using MediaPipe. Our results show that our proposed model can achieve high accuracy in classification and attained 0.8438.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127106268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Invasive methods are often used for measuring partial discharge in high-voltage transformers. With this method, the sensor is placed close to the transformer, which poses a significant risk to the operator’s safety. A method is needed for safer and more effective measurements without endangering the operator’s safety. This paper will present a PD detection method designed using a log-periodic dipole antenna as a sensor. The log-periodic dipole antenna is designed with a microstrip form, making it simple yet performing well. This antenna is designed to detect signals in the partial discharge spectrum, which is 250-750 MHz, or in the VHF and UHF frequency ranges. The radiation pattern characteristics produced by the microstrip log-periodic dipole antenna are highly relevant for use as a partial discharge sensor. This antenna’s measurements can be made from a safe distance from electrical equipment or through non-invasive methods. The minimum frequency represents the VHF band, and the maximum frequency represents the UHF band. The result of the microstrip log-periodic antenna simulation design is, as expected, detection of PD signals emitted by transformers.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133958873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Histopathological images contain adequate phenotypic information. Therefore, these images play an essential role in diagnosing and treating breast cancer. Pathologists perform a microscopic examination of tissue stained with Hematoxylin and Eosin stains. Nonetheless, the manual evaluation of histopathological images is a time-consuming job. With recent advancements in digital imaging, computer-aided analysis of histopathological slides has become essential. In order to perform image analysis using image processing, nuclei segmentation categorized as crucial initial stage. However, there are several challenges in segmenting nuclei images, including variations in color intensity, the presence of occluded objects, the wide distribution of cell clusters and the lack availability of appropriate annotated datasets makes it challenging to produce sufficient segmentation. This study present nuclei segmentation on histopathology images utilizing U-Net. From several tests conducted, the model shows promising result performance in cell segmentation with accuracy 92.70%, precision 87.10%, recall 84.07%, f1 score 85.24% and IoU 74.54%.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134076645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to achieve high reliability in SCADA system, TNB Distribution Network (DN) uses several communication mediums: fibre optics, copper wire/pilot wire, UHF, leased-line, satellite, and General Packet Radio Services (GPRS). Copper wire, widely known as pilot wire, is highly used for SCADA communication in primary substation, not to mention fibre optic. The simplicity in establishing the communication on top of robustness has led to the high utilisation of pilot wires in SCADA system. However, the communication over pilot wires suffers from electrical noise of power cables that are laid together underground. Currently, the communication modem used for pilot wires is not dedicated to operating over induced voltage environments. Hence, most communication under high induced voltage experiences intermittent issues, thus deteriorating the service performance of SCADA system. Therefore, this report discusses the Power Line Carrier application as an alternative technology to serve as an optimum solution for intermittent Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) communication over high induced voltage environments and other long-distance issues communication (over 10km) and unknown failure. Three sites with different pilot wire issues are selected to test PLC modem performance. Overall, RTU communication under high induced voltage is achievable using PLC modem technology.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131069769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

NSGA performs normalization to population at every generation to solve scalable multi-objective optimization problems. The normalization is generally performed based on ideal and nadir points of the population. The nadir point is obtained by extreme points corresponding to objective axes. However, when the conventional normalization method proposed in NSGA-III, for example, is applied, the search direction does not face to the direction of Pareto optimal front sometimes. Although, in order to avoid such problems, alternative extreme point estimations have been proposed, when the number of objectives is large, the normalization direction becomes inappropriate as above. This paper proposes an extreme point estimation technique for proper normalization even in many-objective optimization. Furthermore, a novel normalization method that does not depned on maximization/minimization before/after the normalization is also proposed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114970474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, no EEG method has yet proven to be entirely reliable for lie detection. Therefore, further research is necessary to develop a roadmap for utilizing brain signals in interrogation tools other than the Polygraph, which is still commonly used by law enforcement to solve crimes. This additional research is expected to yield valid data and more dependable methods for analyzing EEG signals. The parameters obtained from this research can be used to develop AI-powered computer systems that can detect when someone is lying based on their brain signals. This study used Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis to investigate brain activity in 20 participants who viewed familiar and unfamiliar images. EEG data were collected from specific channels (T3, T4, T5, T6) in the temporal region, as well as channels (O1, O2) in the occipital region, across the alpha, beta, and gamma frequency ranges. The findings revealed that the PSD values observed on the specified channels T3, T4, T5, and T6 were higher when participants did not recognize the image object. Additionally, channel O2 showed increased right-brain activity when participants failed to recognize the object. Machine learning algorithms were employed to classify the data, with the Random Forest method achieving the highest accuracy at 95.4%.","PeriodicalId":116682,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116965578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
