Companies need to exploit the potential of their employees to take advantage of their knowledge, connections and contacts, to engage in new projects and jobs or to move them to other positions. In doing their jobs employees establish contacts within the company and the business environment. Until the advent of the Internet, communication was carried out in a conventional manner and business did not allow to simply follow the links and communication between employees and their relationships with the business environment. Today, as part of e-business, employees communicate with each other, send and receive messages, simply put, create a social network. The analysis of these networks provides a wealth of information that can be used to promote business, find employeeswho represent the nodes of communication, but also provides a wealth of information on employees or those who are interested in the right jobs, who use social networks to post information about themselves. This paper explored the possibility of obtaining information relevant to the selection of internal human resources based on an analysis of corporate online social networks. Research methods are taken from the field of graph theory and social network analysis (SNA), whereas in addition to quantitative parameters of nodes also additional dimensions of data filtering are considered. This approach is called the extended SNA. In addition to demonstrating and explaining, the extended SNA has developed an application that simulates the communication between employees within a corporation, for the analysis and detection of suitable employees, and visualizes the results in the form of a graph.","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127835814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The issue of industrialization is closely connected with this research and it is in this context that fresh insights are offered into industrial development, ones that are essentially different from the prevailing stereotypes that have for years been dominant in the management of the economic system in Serbia. Following the introductory chapter that gives a short review of the genesis of Serbian industry, the author offers a view of the industrial system through three chapters: 1) Industrial system of Serbia – Quantification, problems and implications; 2) Restoration and recovery framework – Industrial policies and strategic framework for fast and sustainable exiting the crisis condition; and 3) New industry of Serbia – Serbian industry transformation in the context of European integration processes, the future context (factories of the future), challenges and needs, where special attention is paid to the analysis of the problem of science pragmatization and its active part in the process of industrialization in the framework of the ver tical and horizontal technology transfer, as part of the European integrations of Serbia.","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"1 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122701799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, there is an open question as to what are all the things that comprise a business infrastructure. In Serbia, there is not a legislative framework yet which recognizes and stimulates its development by categories and geographic position. Parallel to the lack of notional and legislative frameworks, we can also observe numerous activities in the field of creation of development policies and project investments in concrete facilities and sites. During the previous several mandates (since 2007), the Government of Serbia has stimulated the development of business infrastructure throughout the country using the budget funds. During the same period, significant donor funds have been spent precisely for the projects in the sphere of enhancement of business infrastructure in Serbia. In addition to the definitions provided for a set of important notions, the paper also presents a structural analysis based on the results of the survey / mapping of business infrastructure. It also shows the methodological procedure with a special view at the socalled brownfield and greenfield potentials. Also, the results of the survey have been considered within a general socio economic context with a critical view at the effects of the implemented development policies.","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125279016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have conducted a research on a population of 68 students enrolled for the first time on distance learning studies of Belgrade University. Using a paired sample t-test, independent samples t-test, and ANOVA, we have proven that there is no significant difference in students' satisfaction with distance learning during the semester (t=1.796, p=0.078), in satisfaction by gender (t=-1.176, p=0.244) and that three groups of students with different attitudes toward learning opportunities have different degree satisfaction with distance learning studies (F=9.954, p<0.001). Satisfaction is important for developing trust in distance learning, as elaborated in the article. Using a post hoc analysis we have explained the differences and proposed implications for the learning process.","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128446403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SCBs are grouped into: 1) public sector banks comprising the State Bank of India and its associates, and nationalized banks, 2) private sector banks comprising old and new private sector banks, 3) regional rural banks and 4) foreign banks. The banking system in India underwent a metamorphic change with the introduction of the first phase of reform in 1991. The objective of the early phase of the reform was to create an efficient, productive and profitable financial service industry operating within the environment of operating flexibility and functional autonomy. The second phase of financial sector reforms in 1998 focused on the strengthening of the financial system and introduction of structural improvements with an aim to align Indian banking standards with the internationally recognized best practices.","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124550534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of the model is to enable simple discovery, while allowing formulation and execu- tion of advanced search queries, augmented with visualizations of result sets and domain structure and adaptation of results according to students' interests. Several components were also implemented and their descriptions and other remarks are given following the description of the model. In modern educational systems, the final outcome of the learning process heavily depends on providing learn- ers with an access to the right information at the right time. An appropriate presentation and visualization of information can strongly influence the learning experience by allowing learners to explore an educational do- main instinctively, gaining a better insight into its structure. The main goal of this paper is to enhance data man- agement, visualization, and adaptation within an e-learning system. A model for semantic annotation of concepts present in learning management systems is presented, including the description of a structure of se- mantic applications that will utilize annotated resources to enhance data handling, browsing, searching, vi- sualization, and adaptivity. The developed solution is based around the principles of modularity and independency among components.","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117353844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Barac","doi":"10.7595/MANAGEMENT.FON.2013.0023","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7595/MANAGEMENT.FON.2013.0023","url":null,"abstract":"Modern e-learning systems include a set of complex processes, different elements, services and users’ roles. The users of these systems belong to heterogenic groups considering their characteristics. At the same time, e-learning systems provide various types of learning resources: tutorials, e-books, scientific articles, etc. Each learning resource is specific and has a different way of presentation, content structure, area of study, etc. The number and quantity of education content increases rapidly. In the development of an effective e-learning platform one of the most important requirements is to identify users’ characteristics and then use the obtained information for the creation and realization of educational processes (Aixia & Wang, 2011). Currently, research shows that a majority of educational institutions use the so-called learning management systems (LMS) (Graf, Liu & Kinshuk, 2010; Graf, 2007). These solutions provide a variety of features that enable management of: courses, e-learning activities, e-learning resources, collaboration, etc. LMSs appear to be the best possible solutions for the realization of teaching and learning resources (Barać, 2011; Despotovic, Markovic, Bogdanovic, Barac & Krco, 2012; Graf, Liu & Kinshuk, 2010). LMSs are focused on the support for all processes in e-education (Brusilovsky, 2004; Graf, 2007). The main goal is to enable users to use appropriate services that facilitate the organization of teaching and learning processes. At the same time, communication tools such as forums, chats, wikis, etc. improve interaction during courses realization. However, LMSs deliver the same course content to each student, including the same course organization, resources and services (Brusilovsky & illan, 2007; Graf, Kinshuk & Ives, 2010 ). They do not consider any students’ characteristics, such as: knowledge level, motivation, learning styles, expectations, etc.(Essalmia, Ayeda, Jemnia, Kinshuk & Graf, 2010). Managing courses without taking into account these issues very often results in failure (Dekson & Suresh, 2010).","PeriodicalId":116669,"journal":{"name":"Management: Journal for Theory and Practice Management","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128642046","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
