Whereas adolescents are expected to develop digital-security behaviors, and becoming digital citizens to protect themselves from threatening online risks, parents play a critical role on such development. The present study aimed to analyze the relationship between parental active and restrictive mediation practices and digital-security behaviors in adolescents. The sample comprised 480 secondary school students aged between 11 and 15 (M age = 12.88, DE = 0.94). Multiple linear regression was calculated. The results showed that active and restrictive parental mediation positively correlated with adolescents’ digital-security. Thus, we argue that parental mediation is critical to explaining adolescents’ online behaviors.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125626469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The European Union and associated countries promote actions to improve the educational system and among them teacher training has an important role. One of the programs that allows the development of this type of activity is the Erasmus+ Programme. The projects of this program are the source of inspiration for the research that is being carried out in order to obtain a methodological guide for the successful use of digital technologies in education in improving learning. This article focuses on five examples of projects classified as good practice or successful experience related to teacher training as a result of the analysis that is being carried out in that research. The examples that are developed here show how to work towards a better specialization of the teaching staff and serve as inspiration to design training practices that encourage initial and continuous learning and professional improvement of teaching methods, in turn influencing the improvement of the educational system as well as teaching and learning processes. All this aimed at covering the real training needs of teachers.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122800840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This project has been implemented on the subject of Power Electronics. However, to facilitate the transfer to other subjects, the catalogue of active teaching activities is sufficiently varied to make it easy to extrapolate and use in other subjects, thanks to the fact that teachers have a wide variety of activities to choose from the set. Finally, a survey has been drawn to evaluate this new active methodology’s satisfaction, impact and improvement to know the students’ perspectives once they have worked with this catalogue of activities.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131256365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This supervening global pandemic situation has affected all areas of society, including universities. In this regard, face-to-face learning scenarios were converted into online or hybrid teaching with the use of information and communication technologies as a meeting point between teaching staff and students. This work is part of the University Teaching Research Networks Programme of the Institute of Education Sciences of the University of Alicante (call 2020-21) and its general objective is analyse the resources used by teachers in hybrid teaching in the context of COVID-19. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design was adopted. A questionnaire was designed ad hoc for data collection, which was completed by a sample of 367 students of the bachelor’s degree in Teaching at the University of Alicante. The data were collected online through Google Forms during class. The results showed that PowerPoint is the resource most used by teachers for theory and practice classes. In turn, notes, materials in digital format uploaded to the virtual campus, are the resource most frequently provided by the teaching staff. Likewise, the university’s virtual classroom is the resource most frequently used by teaching staff to interact with students. In conclusion, it can be said that the change of teaching modality has led to an adaptation of face-to-face teaching to virtual scenarios, without any profound innovation in the university educational model.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115370764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the above mentioned, the purpose of this project was born, which seeks to solve this problem through a mobile application that motivates and develops skills and knowledge about STEM. This application has two interactive modules to obtain a more significant attraction in girls. The first is called “Motivate yourself”, which contains videos and motivational phrases to publicize the experiences of successful and empowered women who have studied STEM. On the other hand, the second module, “Learn while playing”, provides us with various interactive games that test their knowledge to enrich the girls’ learning about STEM-related topics. These modules were created based on the M-Learning method that focuses on learning through digital platforms. While for the application’s architecture, the Scrum methodology is used, which is based on fulfilling tasks with a development team for short periods called “Sprints,” using the open-source software React Native with its JavaScript programming language. After developing this application, a pilot test was implemented where the design and content were evaluated, and corrections and improvements were implemented according to the results. Finally, it was possible to create a motivational tool for adolescent girls who are often afraid of studying careers of this type, either because of a lack of knowledge or because they do not feel they have the skills to carry them out.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114348447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Augmented Reality offers great learning possibilities for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) because it adapts to their cognitive style. In this sense, the aim of this study was to examine the perceptions of Primary and Secondary Education teachers about AR as a didactic resource for intervention with students with ASD. From a descriptive approach using the survey technique, a 10-item questionnaire designed ad hoc was applied to a sample of 140 teachers from Denmark, selected by accidental non-probabilistic sampling. The results show that teachers are not fully aware of the didactic potential of the AR tool with students with ASD and have misconceptions about it. As a future line of research, teachers should be trained in the use of this tool so that they can put Augmented Reality into practice with students with ASD.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130143446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective was not to know their knowledge, but we focused on knowing their opinion about their contribution both from their degree and from the citizen perspective, as a previous step to the integration of the SDGs in our subjects, in a more exhaustive way. Based on the results, self-perceptions seem to differ according to the areas of knowledge. As a very positive point to highlight: 96% of the students surveyed believe that both from their degree and from citizenship they can contribute to the SDGs. The objective where they think they can contribute the most from both aspects is that of gender equality. The analysis is also carried out by degree, to detect strengths and weaknesses.","PeriodicalId":116161,"journal":{"name":"2022 XII International Conference on Virtual Campus (JICV)","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126862745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
