The load is also uncertain. Hence, it is necessary to use power reserve equipment to compensate unforeseen imbalances between production and load. However, this power reserve must be ideally minimized in order to reduce the system cost with a satisfying security level. The quantification of power reserve could be calculated through analysis of forecasting uncertainty errors of both generation and load. Therefore, in this paper, a back propagation artificial neural network approaches is derived to forecast solar radiations. Predictions have been analyzed according to weather classification. Some error indexes have been introduced to evaluate forecasting models performances and calculate the prediction accuracy. Forecasting results can be used for decision making of power reserve for renewable energy sources system with some probability or possibility methods.","PeriodicalId":115632,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Electrical Sciences and Technologies in Maghreb (CISTEM)","volume":"60 12","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113970130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, operation as a local reactive power compensator. This analysis is treated by taking account some constraints that reflect the real operation of a wind driven, such as the pursuit of the references and the influence of the system physical state. The captured wind energy is optimized to extract the maximum power using the MPPT algorithm. The studied system control is tested and validated through numerical simulation. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the control strategy leading to best performances.","PeriodicalId":115632,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Electrical Sciences and Technologies in Maghreb (CISTEM)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124144543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach use two sliding windows with a uniform size in two directions (vertical and horizontal) in order to extract the features according to the lines and columns. Then, the two sequences of obtained information have been modeled by a factorial hidden Markov model. This model is a variant of the dynamic Bayesian network, in which we represent the interaction and the dependence between the two primitive sequences using an intermediate hidden layer. The approach has been tested with the benchmark IFN/ENIT database and the recorded results have been encouraging.","PeriodicalId":115632,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Electrical Sciences and Technologies in Maghreb (CISTEM)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126273539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The coexistence of many stable behaviors for a given set of system parameters and for different initial conditions is presented putting evidence into the most exciting phenomena in nonlinear dynamics, referred to as multistability. A classical method of speed control of synchronous motor is applied in order to obtain numerical coordinates of equilibrium points. Their stability is analyzed by mean of Eigenvalues derived from Jacobian matrix of the system. The sets of initial conditions leading to such or such equilibrium point known as attraction basins are traced for different sets of system parameters whether that was close or far from critical points or bifurcation.","PeriodicalId":115632,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Electrical Sciences and Technologies in Maghreb (CISTEM)","volume":"220 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132021159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
