However, improper data collection adversely affects accuracy. In this study, we discuss how to influence the accuracy of data collection mechanisms. The learning vector quantization (LVQ) algorithm is tested to determine the effect of data sampling on accuracy. Training and test data are gathered in the data collection process. Results show that sampling techniques and retrieval of training and test data influence the accuracy of the LVQ classification method. Therefore, the chosen sampling technique can improve accuracy relative to overall data usage.","PeriodicalId":114952,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICon EEI)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120945348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heat as alternative energy source that is wasted a lot, a brick kiln furnace is one for example. High temperatures up to 173 degrees Celsius in furnaces can be converted to electrical energy by peltier component. Besides the price, peltier characteristic is a decisive factor in peltier selection. Commonly in Indonesia’s market, peltier has a various prices, TEC type is generally sold at a price range IDR.35,000.00 to IDR.100,000.00. The most common peltier in the market is the TEC1-12706 type, available in electronics stores sold for IDR.35,000.00 other TEC types taken for example is TEC1-12715 type which have a larger current rating sold online with price IDR.100,000.00. In addition to TEC type is also available TEG-SP1848 type with prices ranging IDR.65,000.00. The release of heat on the cold side greatly affects the output of electricity produced by peltier so that the treatment on the cold side is closely related to the output of electricity generated. Selection of peltier type based on price/ characteristics and treatment to the cold side are crucial factors for thermoelectric module design at brick kiln furnace application. The result shown TEC1-12715 best in current output but lowest in output voltage. The best voltage and power performance especially for high temperature is TEG-SP1848 peltier, best threatment for cold side is use water flow. Use TEG-SP1848 as thermoelectric device and water flow as cooling system successfull to build thermoelectric generator for brick klin furnace application.","PeriodicalId":114952,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICon EEI)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122644979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ADS-B allows the dissemination of flight traffic information more effectively, in lower costs and flexible implementation. On the other hand advances in technology in the field of communication that support the dissemination of information ADS-B is also growing rapidly. Named Data Networking (NDN) emerged as a new alternative to replace the commonly used TCP/IP communications around the world. NDN offers flexibility, native support for security and content-centric communication, meaning that NDN no longer relies on forwarding data to TCP/IP layers but is handled by a route search mechanism toward the intended content using hierarchical naming similar to the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) concept. This mechanism eliminates the reading process to the lower layers during the forwarding process, and is expected to improve the performance of data transactions. In this research, data transmission is generated by an ADS-B source through a mock-up network in which NDN already implemented. System performance is then evaluated through round-trip-time and packet loss parameters to see if it meets the standards set by the aviation authority to be feasible to implement in operational activities compared to systems using IP. Evaluation results show that there is a 34% decrease of round-trip-time performance and packet loss reaches 7% in idle network traffic conditions. This condition is considered acceptable in the operational condition but need improvement to reduce the packet loss in order to satisfy the desired value.","PeriodicalId":114952,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICon EEI)","volume":"2017 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133626575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
