An observation checklist, field notes, and tests were the tools utilized in collecting the data. The researcher combined qualitative and quantitative data to analyze the data and examined the observation checklist with field notes for qualitative data. Moreover, the researcher examined the test that was determined by the mean score for each cycle in qualitative data. Based on qualitative data, this research concluded that students' reading behavior in the classroom improved through the Listen-Read-Discuss teaching and learning process. The student's performance increased from the first cycle to the second cycle, as evidenced by the observation checklist and field notes. Quantitative data results also revealed an improvement in the students' reading comprehension mean scores from the first to the second cycles. Based on the result, the researcher advises teachers to use strategies to teach reading comprehension based on the findings provided in this research report. The study subjects were students of class VIII A SMPQ An-Nawawiy Mojokerto, amounting to 34 students. This research was conducted in two cycles which in each cycle there were four components, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The object of this study was reading comprehension skills of students of class VIII A SMPQ An-Nawawiy Mojokerto. The technique of data collection included field notes, objects / observations, interviews, documentation, and tests. And the technique of data analysis was descriptive qualitative analysis technique. The results showed that the strategy of Collaborative Reading and Alternative Text can improve students reading comprehension skills of class VIII A SMPQ An-Nawawiy Mojokerto. The improvement of students’ reading comprehension skill was based on product quality and process quality. The quality improvement of the learning process can be seen from students that become more active, enthusiastic, and students were also always working with other friends while solving problems to be done in groups. Improved process ultimately has a positive impact on product quality improvement. The improvement of product quality learners were seen from student learning outcomes. Based on the results of pre-action testing conducted, students' reading comprehension ability obtained an average of 64. After being given action in cycle I, the average score of students reading comprehension ability become 68.88. It increases 4.10 points. Then in cycle II, the average score becomes 81.91. These results indicate that this research can be said to be successful because the average value of students' reading comprehension ability increases compared with pre-action values.","PeriodicalId":113492,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientific Research, Education, and Technology (JSRET)","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139356188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Blended learning is the mixing of conventional (face-to-face) learning models with online learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the blended learning on the learning outcomes of community nursing practice. Method: The research design used the Pre-Experiment One Group Pretest-Post test. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with respondents as many as 50 nursing students who met the inclusion criteria of the study. The learning outcomes research instrument used a knowledge questionnaire and practical skills observation. Data processing includes univariate analysis with percentages, and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results: Learning outcomes before participating in community nursing practice were 40% very good and 40% good, while the learning outcomes after participating in community nursing practice were 60% very good. There was a significant increase in learning outcomes between before and after the application of blended learning, namely being very good as much as 50%. Blended learning is proven to be effective in improving the learning outcomes (Pv 0,000, CI 95%). Conclusions: This study supports feasibility blended learning strategies based on are able to produce an increase in the learning outcomes of nursing students. This study aims to determine the relationship between eating behavior and physical activity with blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Method: The study design used correlation analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was all type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at the Gayaman Public Health Center Mojokerto. The sampling technique of this study was consecutive sampling. The research instrument used an eating behavior questionnaire adopted from the Aethelstone and physical activity level (PAL) questionnaire and was analyzed using the Spearman Rho test. Results: The results showed that 44.6% of respondents had poor eating behaviors, 48.2% had mild physical activity, and 80.4% had high blood glucose levels. The results of the Spearman Rho test showed that there was a significant relationship between eating behavior with blood glucose levels (p value=0,001;α<0,05) and physical activity with blood glucose levels (p value=0,002;α<0,05) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Gayaman Public Health Center Mojokerto. Conclusion: Poor eating behaviors tend to cause high blood glucose levels because of excessive intake of food and drinks that contain carbohydrates which are metabolized to be glucose, if the patient is not doing physical activity then the glucose levels become high. This research applied a qualitative descriptive research design through several stages of data collection techniques, which are observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicated that the use of museums as a history of learning media had been going well. Visiting museums provide new insights and knowledge to students so that students are more active and their interest in learning about local history is higher. However, the implementation had not been optimal and there were still some obstacles generally experienced by teachers who were the unavailability of a specific time given regarding visiting museums, and the difficulty of coordinating students when visiting the UPT Cultural Park and Museum. There are also some obstacles experienced by students which are incomplete information and explanations from several collections stored at UPT Cultural Park and Museum so that students find it difficult to understand what they observe.
