Durante esta etapa la sedimentacion esta integrada por carbonatos de plataforma y en menor proporcion de cuenca. El registro sedimentario carbonatico de este intervalo se divide en tres secuencias de deposito, que presentan los siguientes tipos de plataformas: (1): Oxfordiense (hasta 40 m), rampa homoclinal, con bancos marginales oolitico-bioclasticos (bajios). wackesioner de esponjas y ammonites ymudsxontw de protoglobigerimas. (2): Kimmeridgiense (hasta 750 m). rampa distalmente acentuada, con mudsiones ritmicos tableados, bioconstrucciones de esponjas y margas anoxicas de cuenca. (3): Titonico-Berriasiense (hasta 1.000 m), plataforma somera, de poca pendiente deposicional muybien diferenciada, con extensas llanuras de marea. parcialmente dolomitizada, limitadas por bancos marginales oolitico-bioclasticos (bajios) que pasan a facies mas abiertas de calpionelidos. Dos factores principales controlan la evolucion de la sedimentacion de carbonatos (1): la historia de la tectonica extensiva local y de la subsidencia tectonica y (2): las vartactones eustaticas del nivel del mar. La capacidad de produccion de sedimento carbonatico por los organismos, si bien es importante, estaria subordinada a los mencionados factores. {"title":"Análisis secuencial y sedimentología del Lías en los Pirineos centrales","authors":"X. Ramón","doi":"10.5209/REV_CGIB.1989.V13.41700","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5209/REV_CGIB.1989.V13.41700","url":null,"abstract":"El Megaciclo del Lias, en los Pirineos centrales, esta limitado en la base por un nivel de brechas ferruginosas (Brecha de Dubar) o su equivalente lateral de edad Hettangiense, y a techo por una superficie de erosion ferruginizada intra-Aaleniense. Dentro de este Megaciclo se han reconocido seis Secuencias Deposicionales (See. 1 a VI) que coinciden a grandes rasgos con las principales unidades. Las dos primeras secuencias 1 y II. estan formadas por carbonatos en facies de plataforma interna (evaporitas. colapsobrechas. dolomias y ciclos oolitos-estromatolitos somerizantes). Las cuatro restantes secuencias III a VI, son de tipo somerizante y estratocreciente, y se caracterizan por carbonatos en facies de plataforma externa (margas, calizas nodulares, lumaquelas y calizas oncoliticas). Las seis secuencias estan formadas por depositos en facies de Alto Nivel (high stand). Los limites secuenciales corresponden a una amalgamacion del maximo regresivo con el maximo transgresivo representado por un hard-ground. El analisis secuencial, no obstante, es dificil por la complejidad tectonica que dificulta la correlacion lateral directa entre facies de plataforma y cuenca, y por la escasez de fosiles. La sedimentacion del Lias, en los Pirineos centrales, tuvo lugar en un ambiente de plataforma carbonatada. Las dos Secuencias Deposicionales inferiores (See. 1 y II) estan constituidas por depositos de plataforma interna y las cuatro restantes (III a VI) estan constituidas por depositos de plataforma externa. El cambio en el ambiente deposicional esta relacionado con la fase de 4fiing durante la formacion del Margen Continental pasivo del Tethys. Cada Secuencia Deposicional esta considerada como un deposito de Alto Nivel (Augh stand) y no sc observan depositos de Bajo Nivel (kw stand). Los limites secuenciales inferior y superior del Megaciclo del Lias podrian corresponder a las discontinuidades de Haq e/al. (1987), 210 m.a. y 117 m.a. respectivamente. Haq et aL (1987) diferencia en el Megaciclo del Lias once ciclos (o Secuencias Deposicionalesjl. lo que contrasta con los seis ciclos diferenciados en los Pirineos centrales. La falta de coincidencia en el numero de ciclos puede explicarse por el hecho de que los materiales estudiados pertenecen a un dominio paleogeografico de plataforma y no todas las secuencias de Haq el al. Durante el Calloviense Inferior (Biozona Herveyi) la sedimentacion se caracteriza por el predominio de calizas (wackestone a packstone) bioclasticas con filamentos. Entre las Biozonas Gracilis y Plicatilis (Calloviense Inferior-Oxfordiense Medio), la sedimentacion esta dominada por calizas fosiliferas wackestone con oolitos ferruginosos y bioclastos que forman sucesivos episodios irregulares y discontinuos. El analisis tafonomico y bioestratigrafico revela la existencia de numerosas discontinuidades y lagunas estratigraficas en este intervalo, resultando en una sucesion condensada que presenta asimismo unos altos valores de condensacion tafonomica. Tras un episodio (Bz. Transversarium) caracterizado por la sedimentacion de calizas con espongiarios y crinoides, la sedimentacion durante las Biozonas Bifurcatus y Bimam Cuadernos ?le Geologia Iberica, n.0 23, 269-300. Melendez et al. matum se hace marcadamente glauconitica, reflejando tambien un cierto grado de condensacion estratigrafica con respecto a las areas mas noroccidentales de la plataforma, donde este intervalo presenta un caracter mas terrigeno, caracterizado por secuencias expandidas. En el corte clasico de las Ventas de San Pedro, entre Arino y Oliete, la parte inferior de la Subbiozona Planula (Biohorizonte Proteron) se ha caracterizado con ammonites en la parte superior de esta unidad carbonatada. {"title":"Late Oligocene - Early Miocene syntectonic fluvial sedimentation in the Aragonese Pyrenean domain of the Ebro Basin: facies models and structural controls.","authors":"G. P. Tirapu, C. The Upper Oligocene-Lower Miocene molassic infilling in that part mainly corresponds to an extensive fluvial system: the Luna system, which drained the Gavamie unit area and emerged in the basin to the west of the Sierras Exteriores Aragonesas. Small, margina] alluvial fans originated along the Sierras combined in the Luna fluvial system, as well as in the eastern Huesca fluvial system, outside the study area. TIn-ce tectosedimentary units (T.S.U.> were differentiated in the Uncastilio Formation (Figs. 2, 3 and 4), the evolution of whichwas controlled by teetonies affecting the drainage basins. The study of the different lithofacies, their lateral relationsbips and their areal distribution through time (Fig. 5) led to establish sedimentary models for the marginal fans and Luna fluvial system (Hg. 6>. The Luna system resulted from coalescence of two fluvial fans (Figs. 6 and 7). Despite the fluvial network appears mainily as radial, it was controlled by the syndepositional development of the Fuencalderas and Uncastillo anticlines, within the Ebro Basin. Syndepositional folding is shown by important thickness variations in T.S.U., as wel] as by tibe formation of wedge systems within the basin. Progressive uplift of these structures channeled part of the diseharge parallel to tibe basin margin (Figs. 6 and 7), while another portion flowed basinward from the periclinal ends. Vertical aceretion in the synclinal areas north of the anticlines compensated tibe anticlinal uplift, making the siope more genfle and originating bench terraces within tibe general fan slope. The possibility of random extinetion is considered. Extinction and origination rate averages for lineages of the Phanerozoic marine invertebrates are not coherent with the dynamics of this group. Their extinction rate diminished since the Lower Triassic to the Upper Triassic, but the lineage origination rate diminished since the Ladinian as well, and the clade had negative growth rate, and the probability of extinction was high. Se han obtenido las «series tipo» de las citadas facies a partir de siete unidades litoestratigraficas con caracter informal para cada una de ellas (fig. 2). Igualmente, se han obtenido subunidades y asociaciones de facies dentro de las unidades. A partir de la descripcion de las citadas unidades se ha obtenido la interpretacion sedimentologica de las facies que se estudian. Asi, las facies Buntsandstein son interpretadas, de muro a techo, como sedimentos proximales de abanicos aluviales que evolucionan hacia facies mas distales de estos y, depositos de rios de baja sinuosidad (fig. 3). Por otro lado, las facies Muschelkalk son interpretadas como facies pertenecientes a diferentes puntos dentro de una llanura carbonatada de marea para dos de las unidades y, de plataforma marina somera con aportes siliciclasticos y precipitacion de sales para la tercera intercalada entre aquellas (fig. 4). Se considera que estos materiales corresponderian al relleno de una cuenca que evolucionaria como un graben en sus etapas iniciales (facies Buntsandstein), como una etapa posterior de madurez del cita do graben y otra de subsidencia termica (facies Muschelkalk) (fig. 5).
