The statistical analysis at the measurement mast give the studied region with a significant wind potential, approved with an annual mean wind speed equal to 4.83 m/s and an annual mean power density of 133W/m2 at 10m over ground level. Regarding the temporal study, it was found that the studied site is windiest from February until March, while the night time is relatively calm. The use of WAsP software leads us to evaluate the distributions of mean wind speed over the region of El-Bayadh and to simulate the energy produced by a hypotheticals wind farms established in the two windiest areas in the region. The wind farm layout optimization using wind turbines of 2 MW rated capacity from Bonus manufacturer has allowed to maximize the simulated annual energy production and the full load hours for the two simulated wind farms. This turbine uses blade-pitch and electromagnetic torque control to meet specified objectives. But we are particularly interested in the electrical power tracking control. A 2MW wind turbine is considered to illustrate the good performances brought by the proposed approach by presenting and discussing the simulation results. Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes and energy equations have been considered. ANSYS FLUENT code has been employed to solve the resulting mathematical model. Temperature and velocity profiles within the 2D and 3D-configurations of the nacelle have been presented and discussed. It have an aerodynamic shape that pushes it to rotate during airflow. This work is an investigation study about the effect of variation of airfoil thickness. Two airfoil is included with deferent value of thickness. Start by the value 6% to 32% of chord length. The 4 digits NACA airfoil used is $(24mathrm {X}mathrm {X})$ and 5 digits NACA airfoil used is $(230mathrm {X}mathrm {X})$. The wind turbine studied is intended to install in Adrar province site. The performance analysis is based on blade element momentum theory. The results show that for each airfoil have an effective thickness range. In this range the production of energy is the maximum value. Photovoltaic (PV) energy generation is one of the solutions that presents several benefits for use as a distributed energy resource. This paper presents a PV grid connected system with a multilevel inverter. The later one offers several advantages by synthesizing the AC output terminal voltage from several levels of voltages, sinusoidal current waveforms with lower THD content, higher power quality and reduced stress on the switching devices. This provides higher efficiency in the power conversion stage and satisfies the grid’s connection criteria. On the other hand, a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) is very important in such us system to increase the system performance. In this paper, a control algorithm has been developed for the three-level single-phase inverter based on neural network maximum power point tracker to ensure a fast dynamic response. The proposed system is modeled and simulated under MATLAB/SIMULINK. As well as experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed approach. Ten years of wind data (speed and direction) are analyzed using the WAsP software to obtain the annual wind characteristics A, k, V and P which take the values, respectively, 6.3 m/s, 1.83, 5.65 m/s and $224mathrm {W}/mathrm {m}^{2}$. The wind speed at 10m above ground level is mapped to find the windiest areas, and 2MW wind turbines from different technologies are erected to find the one that produces the highest Annual Energy (AEP). Finally, it is proposed, by using the HOMER software, to study the economic impact on the cost of kWh and Net Present Cost (NPC), due to the addition of a wind farm composed of V902MW wind turbines to a system totally dependent on the electrical grid. The environmental impact of harmful gas emissions is also evaluated. The obtained results show that the optimal configuration to satisfy a demand of 431 MWh/d over a 40 MW capacity grid is a farm of 05 wind turbines, with a cost per kWh and an NPC respectively of $0.32 and $643537920 and renewable fraction (RF) of 23%. On another hand, the environmental impact is characterized by a reduction in CO2, SO2 and NOx emissions of 23%.
