Abstract

In this paper, we would like to propose an improved PID multimodel approach for two bases with four and eight models for variable-speed horizontal axis wind turbine. This turbine uses blade-pitch and electromagnetic torque control to meet specified objectives. But we are particularly interested in the electrical power tracking control. A 2MW wind turbine is considered to illustrate the good performances brought by the proposed approach by presenting and discussing the simulation results. These results show better performance for the control strategy developed with the multimodel base of the 8 models compared to the multimodel base of the 4 models.
