Indeed, teachers are prompt to produce effective teaching resources, updated and adapted to the specific and highly evolving educational needs. So far, several research studies have been carried out in this field by adopting a partial contextualization. However, they do not adopt updated standards. In this context, in order to assist teachers in accomplishing this complex and multi-faceted task, this paper proposes a new model of an interoperable and generic system for the design and automatic validation of course materials tailored to specific needs and prerequisites based on abstract ontological models. The proposed model exploits three levels of abstraction which represent respectively the syntax, the semantics and the general context. For each level, the ontological model describes the concepts, individuals and descriptive properties of the pedagogical field. The automatic validator of generated course materials carries out the activities of human designers through the establishment of an expert system. This gives our approach the ability to produce course materials adapted and optimized to environment changes.","PeriodicalId":109940,"journal":{"name":"2019 5th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129634100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This high consumption of energy is the major disadvantage in a typical bioethanol distillation process. Consequently, the optimization and design of new configurations are part of challenges faced by process engineering. This work aimed to investigate the distillation process of a Moroccan distillery for ethanol production in order to optimize the operating energy and cost. The modeling and simulation of industrial process coupled the response surface methodology based on a central composite design have been used to optimize some operating conditions of each separation columns of the process. Many researchers are studying engine designs leading to less fuel consumption. Gearbox selection plays a key role in an engine design. Achieving better operational gear train characteristics, and a lower mass are basic objectives when designing a gearbox. This paper offers a comprehensive and original approach to optimize a gear trains with spur gears. The proposed approach is based on two level optimizations. A first optimization is performed to find the optimal dimeters, width and module while the second optimization is focused on gear body structure. In this second optimization, topology optimization technique is used to determine the ideal repartition of material with respect to the strength requirements. The application of the proposed approach on a case study shows a meaningful reduction in gearbox weight.","PeriodicalId":109940,"journal":{"name":"2019 5th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133940218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Coordination in a multi-robot system is necessary when they collaborate to perform a given task or simultaneously share the same resources. The coordination aims to ensure that each robot in the multi-robot system (MRS) performs its tasks safely. As well as a good method of distribution and assignment of tasks must be effective, reliable and well-defined. In real world images, especially in the field of medical images such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) etc. intensity inhomogeneity and noise are two major concerns that make segmentation a very challenging task. In order to assess the robustness of each method to noise and intensity inhomogeneity, we start by intensity inhomogeneity and noise free synthetic image samples, and apply different levels of added inhomogeneity varying from small to severe intensity, or randomly distributed additive gaussian noise with gradually varying variance. The parameters of the energy formulation of each method are initially tuned for the clean sample images and then kept constant for all of the experiments. Our goal is to assess how robust each method is, to still overcome the added noise and/or intensity inhomogeneity and produce the desired segmentation.","PeriodicalId":109940,"journal":{"name":"2019 5th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133902074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To recognize the impulse response for frequency radio, we focus on positive kernel algorithm and we proceed to the equalization MC-CDMA systems. In this paper, we employ a broadband radio access network channels (BRAN A and BRAN E) standardized by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and Proakis channels (channels A, B and C). Through theoretical analysis and the experimental simulation, it shows the appropriateness of the kernel algorithm using different SNR. To indicate the robustness of the algorithm, we have done a comparison with the RLS method. In the equalization part, we used the Zero Forcing algorithm (ZF) and Minimum Mean Square Error Algorithm (MMSE). Simulations results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient and effective for practical channels.","PeriodicalId":109940,"journal":{"name":"2019 5th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125641577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
