On this day the great national leader of Bengali era Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered a highly spiritual speech, an immortal political poem which was about the Bengali Nation’s struggle for independence. The way he presented and the style of language of this speech is enriched with the use of aestheticism, dialect, gesture, syntax and semantics which make this speech more melodious and heart touching. Therefore, this speech of retelling the latent howling and urge of Bengali nation can be entitled as ‘Political poetry’ and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman can be called as ‘Poet of Politics’. As the Speech of Bangabandhu is presented from political aspect, it is needed to be explained from Sociolinguistic point of view with other major linguistic analysis. The study has been conducted to find the linguistic phenomena of this historical speech.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132033655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 105 students in the four-year program in accounting was distributed a self-administrated questionnaire for data collection. A modified version of Toronto Empathy Questionnaire and an adjusted version of Conflict Management Styles Questionnaire were employed to measure empathy and conflict handling styles of accounting students. Using stepwise regression analyses, results indicated accommodating style and collaborating style were factors that had a positive influence on empathy of accounting students, which these two conflict handling styles explained 22.1% of variance to empathy among accounting students. This could be concluded that only high degree of cooperativeness in conflict management styles had positively significant effects on empathy among accounting students. All in all, the more accounting students employed accommodating and collaborating styles, they became more empathetic on another person.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"203 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133810074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initial attempts have been made to understand how society members relate. This inquiry brought forth concepts and theories such as socialization, functionalism, anomy and deviance. As societies evolve, questions start to emerge as to whether they are sustainable in nature or not. One would want to know, for instance, whether the talked about content, structural and functional dynamism of these societies are breeding integration or loosening up of their social fabric. It would also be interesting to know what either integration or disintegration mean for any societies in terms of potential gains and losses, and what causes them. It is in this regard that the paper suggests that social clustering (geographical such as villages or functional such as worker’s unions), or simply put as social integration, can help societies address their challenges. According to this paper, such issues surrounding cluster functions include emerging trends of environmental degradation, competition over resources, human migration, and increasing defiance among new generations to traditional cultural practices and roles that have all along kept traditional clusters together. The core argument presented in this paper is that in the context of a more modernizing and fast integrating world, individuals and families should embrace the idea of working together with others in social clusters as opposed to working in isolation so as to benefit from economies of scale, protect the environment and guarantee their safety and security. These aspects were initially seen to make business sense; however, trends indicate that they should gain more currency in sociological and environmental spheres as well considering the global demographic and environmental degradation trends, and it is only fair that they gain the acknowledgement they deserve. The paper is motivated greatly motivated by the researcher’s own observation of social dynamics in Kenya.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128282204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All of these cautions presuppose contested questions about the nature of concepts and about how we might go about recognizing and explaining them, and while it is important to recognize the con-tested nature of some of the assumptions, it is nevertheless far from unreasonable to engage in conceptual analysis of the concept of law on the assumption that there is a concept to be analyzed, and that the analysis will yield a set of necessary and sufficient conditions for application of the concept. This too may not be so, and it is possible that law is such a diverse, loose, and shifting array of phenomena that there is no interesting nature of law itself, and no interesting concept of law. Nevertheless I assume not only that there are concepts, and not only that they can be analyzed in terms of their necessary or essential properties, but also that there is a concept of law and that the concept of law is one of the concepts that can be so analyzed. This does not follow necessarily from the previous assumptions. It is possible that there are concepts susceptible to philosophical analysis but that the concept of law is not one of them. But I assume the contrary, and thus assume the possibility and even the value of conceptual analysis of the concept of law.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132743782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
