It has measured the performance of all (30 in 2015) listed private commercial banks (PCBs) of Bangladesh. Those organizations were studied for a ten-year period ranging 2011-2020. The statistical techniques of analyzing panel data especially OLS, random effect, fixed effect, GMM and dynamic GMM methods have been used. The econometric model has been developed where CSR expenditure is a dependent variable and financial performance indicators of the firm (e.g. ROA, ROE, TobinQ, EPS and market price of share) are considered as independent variables. {"title":"AN ASSESSMENT OF CONFLICT-INDUCED INTERNAL DISPLACEMENT TRENDS AND SITUATIONS OF IDPS IN ETHIOPIA","authors":"E. K. IDMC 2023 statistics showedthat, there are approximately 77.1 million internally displaced persons. It causes death and property damage, foodinsecurity and starvation, family disruption, psychological and physical problems on IDPs. Hence, the objective of thisstudy was to examine the prevalence of conflict-induced internal displacement in Ethiopia from 2017 to 2023, andidentify the situations of IDPs housed in IDPs camps of North-western Ethiopia (Amhara region). The data wascollected from 415 surveyed IDPs, 14 interviewee and 8 key informants. The secondary sources i.e. published articlesand IDMC data were taken. Descriptive statistics and textual analysis were used to analyse the data.The result demonstrated that, a total of 670,999; 187,592, and 1,431,682 persons were displaced within the regions andwithin the country due to the escalation of conflict before 2018, during 2018, and in 2019 respectively. This shows thatan enormous tragedy also referred to as a human catastrophe occurred in the Ethiopian historic event in 2019, withabout 1.432 million people fleeing their homes because of inter-communal violence in the country. As a result of conflictand violence, more than 2.9 million people have been internally displaced in the country since 2020. Hence, from 2008to December 2021, the overall number of internal displaced people in Ethiopia was more than 5,142,000, whereas thetotal number of IDPs due to conflict is more than 3,589,000 as of the end of 2021. As of March 2022, an estimated5,582,000 people were internally displaced within Ethiopia as a result of armed conflict and disasters, with 2,848, 0001IDPs in the Amhara, Afar, and Tigray regions. Nearly 3.9 million people living in displacement because of conflict andviolence across Ethiopia at the end of 2022. Based on the findings, a significant number of displaced people housed inIDP camps did not have shelter, shortage of food and nonfood items, rare safe drinking water sources, high sicknessand death, limited sanitation, health and hygiene services. Additionally, IDPs did not have security protection, whichprevent them from physical and psychological harms, and did not receive any protective and resilient support fromgovernment to their survival in the dwelled camp sites. In conclusion, Ethiopia represented the highest proportion ofIDPs in the global displacement numbers. Conflict-induced displaced persons housed in the camps of Amhara regionare living in desperate conditions. This study attempted a pentadic   analysis of Africa’s 2004 Nobel Laureate, Wangari Maathai’s keynote address at the 2nd World Congress on Agroforestry in 2009 in which she challenges development partners, government officials and the private sector to stand up and be counted among truly committed helpers. The paper utilizes the Pentadic   style associated with Burke's Pentad on Dramatism to unearth salient issues explored in the speech. Among findings is that   Maathai seems to have relied more on images that embody the experiential level of not just Kenya, but that of Africa, and most especially of the common man. She effortlessly subsumes all other issues and concerns under Agroforestry until Agroforestry becomes a pivot around which other salient issues of climate change revolve. The speech   is   able to establish Agroforestry as a key towards improving the living conditions of the people through effective management of both the human and material resources. Ce sont à la fois des éléments qui bien que relevant de la civilisation de ces peuples constituent des viviers de richesses culturelles ,marquer  de leur réalité anthropologique et cosmogonique .Fondamentalement, il s’agit de moyens développés , appliqué et transmis de génération en génération, permettant aux descendants de garder les liens avec les alleux, de communiquer avec eux, de les célébrer en vue de les honorer, en clair, de garder la stabilité sociale au sein d’une société où l’on vénère les morts, et croit en leur médiation pour les vivants .Outre, que l’on soit dans l’une ou l’autre pratique rituelle en pays bamiléké, l’objectif des incantations et autres action visent tous à l’invocation du divin absolu par l’intermédiaire des divinités humaines locales  .cependant, l’avancée, mieux, l’influence des phénomènes mondialisant sur les réalités culturelles locales de ces peuples de la région de l’Ouest Cameroun n’est pas des moindres. On est à même de réaliser une forte coloration de ces pratiques locales, profondes et chères à l’être bamiléké. Cette dépigmentation de l’originalité culturelle bamiléké, du point de vue de sa culture trouve ses fondements dans l’avancée notoire du phénomène de mondialisation, Dou la problématique d’une nouvelle colonisation culturelle par le truchement des avatars de ce phénomène dont ce travail traite en partant de la question principale de recherche ainsi formulée :Comment le déploiement de la mondialisation à travers les célébrations funèbres en pays bamiléké constitue une néocolonisation de ces cultures ? Plus précisément, il s’agira de savoir comment les nouvelles dynamiques dues à la mondialisation opèrent dans les pratiques funèbres des bamiléké ? Et en fin, quels en sont les enjeux et les défis nécessaires ?  En vue de répondre à ces questions, nous avons fait appel à une approche interdisciplinaire, la sociologie et l’anthropologie, notamment via l’observation, l’Interview et l’enquête de terrain pour mieux cerner l’objet de recherche. Par ailleurs, le présent travail se structure en trois grands axes  que sont dynamiques des éléments de mondialisation en milieux mortuaire bamiléké (1), enjeux des pratiques funèbres en contexte de mondialisation (2) et en fin défis de sauvegarde d’un patrimoine culturel(3).The panorama of cultures in Bamileke country reveals a multitude of micro-cultures (cultural and cultic practices) which coexist there. The significance of this study lies in its representation of an essential part of the Islamic legal system, as it helps achieve security and safety in society and preserves individuals' rights in the face of social, economic, and technological changes experienced by Islamic societies. The research problem is to determine the effectiveness of judicial supervision in meeting the needs of society and establishing trust between citizens and the judiciary system, as well as identifying whether there is a need to develop and update methods of judicial supervision in Islamic societies.\u0000Based on previous studies and research, the study found that judicial supervision plays a crucial role in achieving justice and enforcing the law in Islamic societies. It also improves trust between citizens and the judiciary system and protects individuals from injustice and corruption by judicial officials. The study's results include determining the effectiveness of judicial supervision in meeting the needs of society and preserving individuals' rights in the face of social, economic, and technological changes experienced by Islamic societies. Additionally, it is possible to identify various methods of judicial supervision and whether there is a need to develop or reform them to achieve social and economic stability in Islamic societies. Dans une logique tripartite, elle consiste à montrer que l’écriture romanesque féminin  est un canal préférentiel des romancières pour exprimer leur inconfort existentiel dans une société au sein de laquelle, victimes des construits phallocratiques et hystériques, elles se sont jetées dans l’écriture qu’elles considèrent comme un outil nécessaire de dire l’indicible afin de se repositionner dans le champ social qui est le leur. On se demande alors s’il n’est pas minimaliste de considérer la littérature comme un simple objet d’art.
