Several historians refer to and regard them as Bengal's first settlers. They mostly belong to the pre-Aryan, Austro-Asian stock of settlers. Since they are the original people of the country, they should have had more power and development. But the truth is otherwise. Santals are frequently denied regal privileges and rights. It has a long history of exclusion and hostility. The Santals were never given the required care since they are secluded from mainlanders. Instead, colonial and post-colonial governments beat and tortured them, which made them, start different forms of resistance. These resistances, however, eventually failed to halt the starvation. Even with all these problems, Santals still fight to keep their social and cultural traditions alive. There were no written records of the history of the Santal civilization, so it was hard to figure out what had happened. As a result, this research mostly utilized secondary sources. With the help of historical information, this study tries to figure out the social norms, ways of making a living, and cultural traits of the Santal group. The fact that they are able to keep most of their own cultural traits shows that they have been poor in many ways in the past.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130671447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Results drawn were number of students who smoked are between ages of 18-19 years old. Most of the respondents are male. Males smoked cigarettes more frequently than female. Majority of the respondents had a general weighted average of 1.75- 2.25. Respondents are aware of on the Sin Tax Law an act restructuring the excise tax on alcohol and tobacco products. The Law significantly affect the buying behavior of the respondents. The prevalence of smoking among college students decreases. Level of awareness of students on Sin Tax Law has significant relationship with their buying behaviors. In addition, the academic performance of the students is not affected by the level of awareness, buying behavior and smoking habits. The implementation of this law must be strictly imposed by the local government and the academe to help in decreasing or even stopping in consumption of cigarettes among college students and to all smokers in the community. The two countries used as our case studies include Sao-Tome and Principe from 1485 to 1975 (490 years) with 210 official agents remarkably during the pre-colonial and colonial periods. Considering the fact that most history books at times mentioned only few colonial administrators of the Continent, we therefore deemed it necessary to carry out this research on the various portfolios of specific foreign actors in full beginning from pre-colonial to end of colonial exploitations. The pre-colonial era brings out some of the foreign agents who in one way or the other prepared the ground work for deeper colonial partition, expropriation, expansion, exploitation and exaggerations of colonial activities as the best means to compensate themselves from the natural providence of the Black Continent in terms of natural and human resources well accessible in to the Atlantic Ocean. The work is divided into two parts using a chronological approach as indicated on the various tables and it brings out the total number of all prominent pre-colonial and colonial agents of the two countries. The scrutiny of specialized documents based on the pre-colonial and colonial Africa actually inspired us in the writing of this paper which can open new avenues to future researchers to find out in detail which of the Portuguese agent did what and when during their tenure of offices characterized with changing portfolios and revision of radical exploitative colonial policies colonialism.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127753882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Her incapacity to continue running some of her embassies in the region was due to lack of financial resources which resulted from the collapse of the Cold War and disintegration of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) into Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 1991.The devastated Russian economy could only left her behind unrealistic foreign agenda that was perfectly destroyed by Mikhail Gorbachev’s hasty declaration of Glasnost and Perestroika as new international norms which facilitated the United States of America (U.S.A) to re-gain a unique prominent position as the Policeman of the World. This meant that Russian engagements with SubSaharan African countries were now in a handicap and dangerous stance towards the 21st Century. What then constituted Soviet Union’s lateness of foreign policy initiative towards Africa’s, challenges of the 1990s and new patterns of Russian relations and initiatives of exploiting natural resources and setting up of nuclear agenda in Southern African States are the main concerns of this study. With the adoption of a historical approach, the scrutiny of specialised sources concerning this question enabled us to come out with finding that, contemporary Russian attempt to aggressively reinforce relations with specific Southern African countries pave the way forward of Great Fear in case of any nuclear war in the 21st Century. That Southern and Central African leaders of Sub-Saharan Africa should be aware that the previous Cold War Super-Power competition was over but it took a new form in the face of a unique Hyper- Power position dominated by the United States in the Post-Cold War era which the crumbled Russia is recently bend to correct some of her mistakes through deeper penetration of main strategic zones of Africa as a means of preparing and multiplying her networks of attacks and defense in the Atlantic and India Oceans. The study also illustrates the ways in which these forms influence alternative ethnic cultural expressions and innovative interpretations of minority cultural heritage. Tatarstan, an autonomous region of the Russian Federation, has seen a growth in the number of innovative cultural and digital initiatives launched during the last five to seven years. These initiatives are driven primarily by young Tatar businesspeople and activists, most of whom are based in the Republic of Tatarstan. Tatarstan has long been the epicentre of traditional Tatar culture, including the Tatar people's theatre, music, visual arts, and literature. It is also the primary location for the instruction of the Tatar language. Tatarstan's political autonomy arrangements from the 1990s have been primarily undermined due to Russia's efforts toward centralization and cultural unity under the presidency of Vladimir Putin (beginning in the year 2000). Activists working to preserve the languages and identities of ethnic minorities face new challenges directly from the new, more conservative ideologies that have taken hold in the country. The emergence of new forms of cultural production in Russia is influenced by the growth of digital technology as well as by international cultural production. The younger members of the Tatar community are adopting the international formats and genres popular elsewhere and applying them to their cultural activities, thereby creating new forms of ethno cultural activism. When it comes to matters of ethnic identity, they devise innovative approaches to depict and articulate it, which are distinct from the models of ethnic culture that were inspired by the Soviet Union. Environments are becoming increasingly ideologically and politically restrictive. Minority participation in urban activities is frequently linked with secession. Due to these groups' activities, it is possible to depoliticize ethnic activism.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134335628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The military government structure was formed based on a military hierarchy. The highest power holder was Gunshireikan (army commander) who was later called Saiko Shikikan (commander-in-chief). Entrepreneurial competencies are also regarded as essential to sustain their business and use the Resource-Based Theory and Social Feminist Theory to understand any variances. The qualitative approach was used to gather data through focus group interviews with 10 Malaysian women entrepreneurs to explore and understand women's entrepreneurial competencies. The Resource-Based Theory better explains most entrepreneurial competencies of women entrepreneurs identified in this study. Nevertheless, the social feminism theory helps explain some of the entrepreneurial competencies that have enabled these women entrepreneurs to reach their present achievement in business. This study provides future direction to policymakers and educators in designing intervention programs for women entrepreneurs, especially addressing different requirements at the different stages of their business life cycle.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"132 1 Pt 2 Su 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116348913","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major conflicts which physicians commonly confront are the financial conflicts of interest and the conflicts of conscience. The two types of conflicts are unavoidable and impossible to be eliminated, yet it is possible to remedy the conflicts; thereby, both physicians and patients have benefit in the medical settings. The ultimate consequence will be an effective operation within healthcare organizations since the foundation of the success for organizations is a healthy doctor-patient relationship. Several approaches and models have been suggested in attempt to relieve such conflicts within the organizations. However, only some of them are helpful and they are supported by the principle of cooperation. To find the balance amongst all these parties, some models have to be enforced in the health care organization. Principle of cooperation is one of the most effective means to outstand the successful model. The principle of cooperation assists cooperators in making moral decisions when encountering accomplice. The object or the meanings of moral actions play essential role in the principle.","PeriodicalId":109852,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Humanities and Social Science","volume":"34 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123210250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
