Vale","doi":"10.1109/DEXA.2016.044","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/DEXA.2016.044","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents a proposal for the use of the Hybrid Fuzzy Inference System algorithm (HyFIS) as solar intensity forecast mechanism. Fuzzy Inference Systems (FIS) are used to solve regression problems in various contexts. The HyFIS is a method based on FIS with the particular advantage of combining fuzzy concepts with Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), thus optimizing the learning process. This algorithm is part of several other FIS algorithms implemented in the Fuzzy Rule-Based Systems (FRBS) package of R. The ANN algorithms and Support Vector Machine (SVM), both widely used for solving regression problems, are also used in this study to allow the comparison of results. These e-Infrastructures include advanced IT architectures such as supercomputers, grids, clouds, and the networks interconnecting them. In order to deliver high-quality services provided by these systems to the users, adequate IT management is an essential requirement. The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) is one of the world's largest e-Infrastructure providers and strongly devoted to contributing to and utilizing the field of IT Service Management (ITSM). After initiating its ITSM program in 2006, today many of the services provided by the LRZ are ITSM-driven. Processes have been adopted in alignment with ITIL best practices. Learning from \"commercial\" ITSM, and applying it to academic e-Infrastructures such as grids and clouds has been recognized as an effort that is vital for the sustained success of these developments. This challenge is subject of the EC-fundedg SLM project, which is led by LRZ and will be demonstrated in this talk. A major goal of LRZ is complete certification against ISO/IEC 20000-1 in the near future. The organization model is an integrated e-learning system, known as blended e-learning (realized through the course management system Moodle), aiming at a renewal of academic education with a focus on quality of teaching, on support of in-class teaching by on-line services and materials, allowing better use and participation by both full-time and part-time students. Beside students, also academic teachers work as experimental subjects for the technologies implemented. In some application areas, this is impractical or even prohibitive. We propose a probabilistic XML approach that allows storage and querying of uncertain data. It requires only minimal user involvement during data integration, because most semantic uncertainty and conflicts can be resolved by exploiting user feedback on query results, thus effectively postponing user involvement to query time when a user already interacts with the system.
